  2. Meditation and Global Shaktipat Aug 6 Friday

Find silatyogi (santi) and ask to be a contact. Tell him that you are there for the meditation. His name is Santiago Dobles and he lives in Miami. How to participate: t is simple to participate in the Global Shaktipat. First, it does run for 24 hours so if you are sleeping at the time transmission is set you can tune in later. Second: all you need to do is to do your normal meditation posture. You can even sit in a chair or lay down. It helps to have your spine straight and relaxed to facilitate the flow of energy. If you sit in a chair, sit with your palms face up on your lap to receive the energy. Breath your normal breath. If you are familiar with abdominal breathing, use that. It helps to sit in a quiet place where you will be undisturbed. You may play music if you wish. Third: Say in your heart, "I give consent to receive Shaktipat. May the Divine bless me as I am willing to receive." Fourth: Maintain an attitude of gratitude and give thanks to your Creator for the transmission. Fifth: Think and visualize of your head and heart chakras opening to receive just like a flower opening to receive the sun's light.... See More You may experience many symptoms, a few symptoms or no symptoms during the transmission. Some common ones are heat, coolness, feeling pressure on your skin or in your body, a sensation of a breeze or wind moving in the room, visions. Your hands or other parts of your body may feel tingling. You may feel lightheaded. How to participate safely Please drink plenty of water during that 24 hour period and try to get some quality rest. Shakti brings about change and can some times detox negative energies from the energy and body rather rapidly. To benefit the most out of the experience place the tongue on the roof of the mouth on the upper palate above front teeth. This connects your Yin & Yang circuits and aids you in having a safer experience. Also make sure to afterward, or within that 24 hour period, go for a nice walk barefoot on Mother Earth so you help to ground your energies. Maintain your spine ERECT naturally. Only Beings that speak the truth are allowed to participate. This event is for the blessing and benefit of Mother Earth and all the beings who walk upon her. To show your gratitude: Please donate to earthquake relief organizations: http://www.haitihosp.org/lHopital_de_la_Communaute_Haitienne/Home.htm http://doctorswithoutborders.org/ http://worldvision.com/ http://mercycorps.org/ http://www.samaritanspurse.org/ http://islamicrelief.com/

wooo hooo! Obviously written by someone who walks the path versus just knowing about it. In other words, speaking from his own personal experiences. I can feel that cool, clear stream of Shiva consciousness running through his words. thanks. love, s

No worries, Yaunqi. We don't do shaktipat in your definition but Santi and I are very aware of the universalism of what's called Shakti and the other names by which it manifests in cultures and spiritual traditions. Just because a Hindu may grow up never seeing a polar bear doesnt mean it does not exist. They do know Brown Bears or Himalyan Bears or Sloth Bears but not a polar bear. The same with the Energy that some know by the name Shakti. That Universal, Cosmic Energy is everywhere present all at once and not isolated in just one tradition, one country, or one temple and especially not in just one person's interpretation of how it manifests. We choose to not put that energy in one box and define it by that one box's limits. We are not orthodox, hard line traditionalists. Looks like we will never come to an agreement but that doesn't mean we are wrong and you are right. You judge us unworthy by our postings and reject what we do out of hand but have never spent any time with us to see what the whole spectrum of how we interact with students. You judge our over 30 years of combined experience and teaching by a couple of months of postings. Santi and I don't discuss advanced concepts on this board. Sharing an experience in the process is just a snap shot along the time line. It doesn't mean that is the entirety of the whole time line but it is what people can start to identify with first. It does really no good to discuss,IMO, all the advanced aspects of kundalini development without covering the basics. Going thru experiences is part of it. It is not all of it nor should it be rejected as unimportant and inconsequential. For example, experiential practice is an essential part of Shamanism. It not a bad or wrong thing just a different thing. I would never expect people to operate at advanced levels right away. My way of teaching is to talk about shared experiences. Teachers teach by sharing or telling stories. we all have different ways we learn. To shut the doors on an enormous segment of the population who doesn't or cant learn in one particular way is unkind. To insist this Energy only be described and understood in one way is unrealistic. It would be easier to try and nail jello to the wall. This Energy breaks down the status quo and is not enforced by it. Santi and I know this Energy as inclusive and not exclusive to a particular group. But we disagree and that's OK by me. If you really CARE about the PURITY and AUTHORITY of your lineage and its teaching START a thread on Shaktipat and I promise I WONT come over and post anything on it. I wont call it crap or BS, use thinly veiled sarcasm, USE CAPITAL LETTERS TO MAKE AN OBVIOUS POINT, lots of punctuation!!!!!?????? or talk about CERTAIN PEOPLES posts. LOL !!!!!!!!!!!! *wink wink nudge nudge* s

Sometimes things that are contrived turn into a wonderful spontaneity. For some what seems like a little inconsequential step to many of us is the first opening in a tsunami of feeling never before known. Does it really matter how it starts? s
  6. just will share a personal insight based on my experiences of running and owning forums on Kundalini for about 15 years. And those groups can get really ugly...especially when the vegans/animal rights people get attacking everyone in the name of spirituality. Honestly, IMO, those have got to be some of the most violent people I have ever met. We eventually had to outlaw "food fights" and make a separate group for them. We also had to outlaw religious evangelism and have them go to separate groups. I have very few rules. I keep in mind that everbody has a bad hair day now and then but if every day is a bad hair day then I will moderate them. I have only banned people for spamming products or porn. It is automatic. If they want to be reconsidered they can take it up with me. No one has. I have the controls set so everyone is moderated until they can prove they are civil. If there is a very large group like this one I know that is unrealistic. After a couple of posts one can get the idea where things are heading. A lot of people join and don't post so they are never off moderation. The rules are Sandbox rules. Play nice. Don't throw sand or toys at one another. If you can't play nice pick up your toys and go home. Doesn't mean you cant come back but maybe you need a time out. How I would interpret this to someone is if you saw a child treating another child in a nasty way like we see on a forum what would we do? Sometimes I place this on a forum front page "May our communities become those of people who learn from everyone instead of teaching to everyone!"...Anonymous. This community is sacred space, a temple ground. Please remove your *shoes* before entering. We are all of different backgrounds, traditions, and nationalities. Please respect that. Being a grownup doesnt mean the heart and soul is no longer childlike. Those that attack the hardest are most often the most wounded. I keep that in mind. So sometimes there happens an opportunity to heal those wounded hearts. That's why I let people continue to beat up on me for awhile. It shows me where they are at inside when they continue to attack someone who is open. If anyone thinks my groups are tame think again. We have very high level martial artists on my groups. You'd want them covering your back in a dark alley and some have for me. I love them dearly. They consider their martial art as a path to enlightenment and to be a better human being. They are well educated. They know how to play nice. They don't have to prove themselves by mouthing off and attacking the leader to show everyone how good they are. They don't need that. They know how to disagree without having to draw blood. But they can deliver a sharp rap wake up call to the head if needed. We share leadership and healing in the groups. Glenn Morris and I used to discuss this in terms of a dojo. Every know and then some smart ass wanders into the dojo wanting to prove himself against the master. The master lets one of his knights (deshis) take care of the problem. It's good practice for the deshis and they do it also out of love and giri to their Sensei. Sometimes that happens for me on my own forums. This is not my forum so I don't expect anyone to step in. It takes a while for a community to develop a personality. All communities do have a group egregore. One has to ask themselves what kind of egregore do you want to belong to and why. The moderators are the caretakers/nurturers of the egregore. s

I have always LOVED this video and its music and message. I have it on my ipod and listen to it whenever I needed to be reminded of how we are really one great family. Sometimes I use it in meditation or listen to it during global shaktipat times. Music is a powerful carrier of energies and can be a great added tool for practice. yeah...i choke up too. It really opens up the heart. love, s

Much love to you for your concern. I am only human. It is is hard for me to be otherwise. I do have my own process to keep clean but sometimes being continually battered it leaves me exhausted. My final solution for that boundary setting would be to go live in a retreat somewhere. Not practical for a teacher. I remember reading recently once how a modern Buddhist teacher was so exhausted from his teaching tour he took FIVE years off to replenish and restore before resuming. I can empathize. And, I am still a work in progress. Santi and I help each other out with things like this. The teachers have to take care of each other. We do a lot of healing and prayers for each other. It is very helpful or otherwise I would have said "I am outta here!" I have done that once already. I said I would never come back. Santi was very persuasive as were some others of Glenn's deshi. s
  10. So just to be clear. when I asked rw to not attack the supporters his response was in his post #667: Good evasive response. Didn't expect anything better. And tell that your supporters who attack those who don't support this cult-like madness I think he meant to say...and tell your supporters not to attack those who don't support this cult like madness. But, I think he was acknowledging he attacked first. I could be wrong on that. If he was acknowledging this then he knew what he was doing when he called cat a cheerleader. s

Looking forward to seeing you. I don't recognize people by their board name so please be sure you come up and introduce yourself to me and Santi. Yes, feelings can be felt through an email, music, etc. Sometimes on this board I have to take a little break because it feels like I am being pummeled with a stick for example. By the nature what I do I keep myself very open and vulnerable to be able to assist people better. It's a two edged sword. I am of the belief that emotions and energy are intertwined. I don't think they are the same thing but they are associated with each other. So when an emotion is stirred up, for the sensitive they will also feel energy movement as well. The skill is to learn to let that emotion and its associated energies continue on its way out of the body/spirit/mind complex and not to hold on to it. Have you ever noticed being in a room with a bunch of people and one person can come into a room and clear it all out? Conversely, you can be in a room of people and one person can walk in and it changes the energy of the room into a more communal and welcoming space? Part of the process of kundalini awakening is we become more sensitive to the energies around us. We can pick up people's thoughts, feelings, intents easily. In the higher martial arts that is a great skill to develop. If you are a regular non martial person it can be a bother. We will be teaching techniques to handle these sort of things in KAP. Please make sure to bring that issue up in class if we haven't talked about it by Saturday. One needs to work on making your wei chi field stronger for one. Also we can work on being non-attached to events and so our energies/feelings don't attract those kind of experiences into our lives. Practice, practice, practice discernment to figure out what's what. It takes time. Can you honestly look at yourself and say, "where did that come from? That is not like me at all." Sometimes it is and that's why you might have a reality check with a group of friends or someone who's opinion you trust. Sometimes that is not reliable too. You have to ask yourself if that is reasonable what you are feeling or perceiving. Sometimes it is not. I was in a group one day and this one student was just being a big jerk and had been since the retreat started. She said that was our problem and she was just mirroring back our stuff to ourselves. In other words she was saying we are the jerks, not her. So the teacher said, "who in the class thinks So and So is being an asshole?"Everyone in the class raised their hands. She gathered up her belongings and left the class and did not come back rather than clearing that up. Tao is an awesome guy and teacher. He is yin to Santiago's yang. He has lovely energy. I am glad we could be of service in the Shaktipat chat. We are doing them differently that we used to. Now we let the participants lead the chat whereas it used to be more leader oriented. Actually, we just sit back and just do the transmission and watch where it goes. hope that helps some...see you soon s
  12. Since it was tagged on to a post I made I also saw it as an attack, especially against a woman. That is why I said don't attack the supporters. RW is a new member. He has gone back and read posts that Santi and I had participated in to bring that forth into the discussion. Maybe he saw how other people attack those who are supportive of myself and Santi and thought that was OK behavior. I do know that there are people afraid to post on Tbums because they think they will be attacked for being supportive of KAP...you know, accusations of cheerleading and cult like behavior and such. So if we are going to support the supporters, regardless of who they support, I would like to make it more consistent when they are demeaned for their personal views. s

So I am cleaning out my computer files and I came across this writing. I wrote this 10 years ago after one of my experiences with Kali Ma. Since people voiced wanting to hear more about experiences I am posting this. It is just as alive with her presence as it was when I first wrote it. May you be open to receive. love, s After crying buckets of tears last night I was laying on my bed. I saw a black woman appear to me in my sight. She had a dark green top on, something around her head like a crown of horns, and was waving something that looked like a long paddle back and forth. She kept sticking her tongue way out of her mouth and shaking her head at me. She looked very tribal. I was startled and did not understand. Soon she began smiling and laughing at me and jumping up and down on my chest. Then she disappeared.I became aware of that place on my back and it 'unfolded'. It unfolded into the most delicate, exquisite feeling of pure bliss that I had never felt before. It was stunning. My body gasped and moaned and my back arched. It shivered as I thought my body must be levitating off of my bed. I felt wondefully delicate liquid light begin to climb softly and gently up my spine in little falling droplets. It was exquiste, like tiny footsteps leaving a trail of joy. The delicate, softly glowing crystalline structure rose to sit at the back of my throat. It was humming ,humming, humming so softly I could barely hear it but it made my jaw bone vibrate with its exquisite bliss. Soon it moved forward and came to rest in my chin bone where my teeth slightly began to chatter from the humming in my bone. I could feel the soft blue glow filling my cells, traveling along my neural pathways. It grew from my chin, feeling the pressure of its size growing past the roof of my mouth into my brain. I lay quietly in this delicate and powerful state of bliss for hours. Each person I thought of appeared to me as a beautiful, pale mandala of color feeling their thoughts and emotions, watching them pass by. I rise from my bed this morning, retaining the softly quiet echo of such beautiful bliss throughout my body. Something major has transpired and I am not the same person who laid down to sleep last night. My body shivers with exquisite ecstasy. I love my love and my life loves me. (2000)

Fuck yeah! You are absolutely right about us. I agree with you 100%. We are just as bad as you think we are. We are guilty as charged. I just wanted to add. Don't take KAP. It's horrible. You will go to hell. You will be a pariah. Santi and I, dressed in black leather wearing skulls and spiked collars and jewelery will tie you up in chains and beat you till you cry for yo momma. You friends and peers will hate you. Your IQ will drop by 20 points and you will start to smell. We will take your money, hypnotize you into give us all your possessions and torture you like the slaves you are. We will force you to build enormous golden palaces for ourselves with our evil serpent psychic powers because WE ARE the second coming. We are sacrificing chickens tonight at 8 to ensure our evil powers never die. But dont attack the supporters for being supportive. s

So you haven't read any of my posts where i addressed bitch slapped? I wrote this yesterday: Through a period of trial and error I learned to listen and not resist. Resisting meant I got bitchslapped...that means I got sick, experienced pain that was physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional. Compliance and submission meant unimaginable bliss and the presence of a joy so exquisite it bordered on painful. Positive reinforcement is a great motivator. I learned much on an empirical level about this energy and how to live in concert and moving in harmony with it's direction. Why don't you define what bitchslapped means to you and why you keep focusing on it? Santi will tell you that what I define as bitchslap in italics above is the same way he does. s
  21. Shaktipat

Just scroll on by when you see my name. Don't comment on my posts if you don't want me to reply. For me it's about empiricism and not theory so you are going to hear about my experiences. I listen. I tell stories. Not all circular reasoning is fallacious. Only if it fails to advance our knowledge and I would add illuminate our understanding beyond just the data stream of information. If it fails to advance your knowledge/understanding I can't help that for when for others it does. I use what works. Story telling works well. The Khalahari Bushmen epistomology use circles within circles in their shamanic work. Where something may be seen as opposition in a circle is actually at another level cooperating to create a larger circle. A spiral. A spiral is a form of Nature that is supported by Nature. Chi moves in circles ever spiralling outward. Look at the spiral galaxies in the sky. Kundalini moves in spirals and circles. A point of tension, however created, in the circle is a jump off point to create another level of the circle, another expansion in the spiral in form and understanding. But one can stay on one circle if they wish. Cybersemiotics fascinates me. This book is on my reading list. http://www.amazon.com/Cybersemiotics-Information-Toronto-Semiotics-Communication/dp/0802092209 From the description: A growing field of inquiry, biosemiotics is a theory of cognition and communication that unites the living and the cultural world. What is missing from this theory, however, is the unification of the information and computational realms of the non-living natural and technical world. Cybersemiotics provides such a framework. . . . Cybersemiotics not only builds a bridge between science and culture, it provides a framework that encompasses them both. The cybersemiotic framework offers a platform for a new level of global dialogue between knowledge systems, including a view of science that does not compete with religion but offers the possibility for mutual and fruitful exchange. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Gregory Bateman is a leading theorist of cybersemiotics. He was the mentor of Dr. Bradford Keeney who studies and lives with the Bushmen. Bateman talks about this dynamic circularity as a model of communication which is present in the Bushman culture. A student told me recently, "I have been hearing you tell the same story for years. Today, I finally GOT IT!" Still learning, still studying, still only speaking from my experiences. s

So to respond to your other comment: Mysticism is the heart. Religion is the action that comes from the heart. Some hearts are not enlivened by day to day experience of walking in alignment with that which is the Mystical. The action without the living water that flows from the heart is dead. what is left, imo, is adherence to the legalities and rules of the religion. So, I see in other religions, is ceremony without intimate connection to That which the ceremony honors. I see adherence to law and rule without compassion, without flow and a sense of rigidty and harshness that lacks personal introspection. I am a mystic and a Christian minister. In another time my Christian mystic views would have me on the rack or on a burning stake. If I was a Sufi mystic there is a real danger of being killed if I lived in a different land in this present time. Mysticism is a living practice that arises from a spontaneous harmony with That which religions follow. Doing Chod is a whole different practice when the Source of which that practice revolves is felt and honored as a Living Consciousness. Each ceremony brings one closer to the Source of that religion. I once observed a chod ceremony done by a Tibetan monk for a friend. I felt the room change and watched the dieties move and walk among the space. It wasnt only me that saw Ganesh materialize in an enormous form behind the monk. I am an ecstatic mystic. I do not reject religion or ceremony out of hand. s
