thanks Ya Mu. Disagreement makes life interesting. Its how we practice discernment and fine tune our awareness and knowledge bank. Working with my fair share of Doctors and other professionals, I know they often disagree over things often but professionally, for the best interest of management of patient care they will respect each other even when they disagree. It part of being a professional. If they were all throwing Molotov cocktails at each other and had a scorched earth philosophy ( and I have seen this in the less civilized of them) it is the patient that ultimately suffers. Same here. It is the seeker that ultimately suffers when there is unprofessional and small minded behavior. I tried to fit into the culture here by co-opting some of the cultural mores cause, ya know, when you are with the natives, act like the natives. Bad choice. Major fail. I can only speak from my own experiences and that can and seems to contradict established dogma, particularly the written kind. I am an empiricist. I know what is useful and what is not because what I know is based on what keeps a person alive on the battlefield. If it doesnt keep you alive what good is it except for showing off how shiny our brains are. bless you Ya Mu, s

thank you, thank you, thank you, Adeha. Thank you for letting me be of service. I really need to moderate my time I spend here. I am glad and thankful that you received benefit. I did not do a formal shaktipat. Sometimes it just flows to those who need it. Shakti has her own wisdom. I hope you can participate in the Shaktipat event I posted for tonight. If it is too late there is a 24 hour window if you would like to participate. Many blessings s

no worries. I hate leaving people hanging but I had to separate myself for awhile because the energy of intention around words can be particular painful for me. I am a kinesthetic empath and so feeling the intent of things can be particularly brutal. Santiago keeps telling me I should shield more. It is difficult for me to shield up my heart for then it makes it more difficult to hear those who are genuinely hurting. As a nurse there is something we must do called Universal Precautions which means we should always wear gloves when we touch a patient even if it is just to pat their hands.I can't. Being a nurse means that sometimes my patients need to feel warm, human skin against theirs so I will not wear gloves if I am doing something like a back massage or holding their hands. Our culture is so touch starved. Same way in energy. I must be vulnerable if I am to sense what is going on so I can give back. That is how I do my practice. I really should not be in a place where words are used in combat but knowing that some people do benefit keeps me coming back. so i said I would withdraw but i see some genuine concerns. if it starts to hurt my heart and spirit again, I will withdraw. It is for self protection reasons. s

Start with a glass of water. Point sword fingers into glass. Feel yourself connecting with the molecules of water through an energy stream. Visualize those molecules changing into something sweeter for example. You will feel a shift in your energy when it is complete. Takes any where from a minute to five for the higher level practitioner. Your mind doesnt have to have a precise picture. This is about intention and feeling. If that is too difficult, Try prayer. That works. Hold your hands over the glass with palms facing the liquid and pray what seems right to you. One of my medical gigong teacher was quite good at removing alcohol from wine. Here is a PBS program about him. NO he did not do it in the vid but he did it when I was out to dinner with him and a group of people in Beijing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw-aDENlHWA s

nah,,my input to the thread is over . If you would like to discuss further, Trunk, please feel free to pm me and I would be more than happy to continue sharing with you. Red Dragon wrote me to say: " you are a fake with no real ability or comprehension". It really made me giggle greatly but, seriously, it is really not a good omen of things to come. I have no secrets so if any one else pms me with insults I will share them. s

Santiago has told me has made a donation. We talked about making a banner for advertising. I did want to add: Raymond, you asked me what happened in a KAP seminar, and in good faith I told you some of things that would happen. I told you that maybe you would be happier with Tao, another instructor. But now I don't think it would good for you to take KAP at all. It's not the right kind of delivery system for you. I would suggest a more traditional system. good luck, Susan s

I am curious, Robert. This is a sincere question. How long have you been using the Internet and been on forums? I think you would be less offended probably if you are a lifetime user like a lot of the members here. I own a list that's stated adults only because it is around sex and spirituality. It is closed to the general public but the only way you can get in is if I approve it. Honestly, the Bums gets far more down and dirty and explicit that my list ever does. I wouldn't say it's triple x here but the conversations seem to, because it has a preponderance of young adult males as members, center around ejaculation control, sex, what turns a babe on, what am I going to do with my life...someone actually wrote a humorous post about it not too long back. I have been using the internet since 95. There are a lot of guys on this forum who were born after 95. They have grown up differently about the use of words like this. Words and pics are just a keystroke a way from them for their whole life. This upset we are having about word usage in one sense is kinda non issue. So as far as your forum question I think that will give you some insight. That's why I did a search on the words. The use of the word "dick" was LIMITED to the first 200x used in this forum. As far as the use of words in the seminar Santi and I teach. Some times they are there but if you think you would be sitting in on a recitation of George Carlin's "The 7 words you will never hear on television" you wont. NSFW So speaking to you more about the seminar. I am present at almost every online class for the last year and also team teach with Santi in person. The classes tend to be more male, younger males, and marital artists. One reason I am sure is because Santi is 33, male and a martial artist. That will change as it becomes more well known he has a female co teacher. I taught with his mentor, Dr. Glenn Morris for a few years and the audience breakdown was similar. His other teaching associate, Tao, gets more females. He is I think just a couple of years older than Santi, a tantric and yoga master (who received his training from Santiago), and a martial artist. Tao is also more yin to Santi's yang. Both are brilliant in their understanding and teaching of the science of Kundalini. Both are big hearted, loving and compassionate. Tao teaches on line more than teaching in public. He is more yin and conservative in speech. He also is more intellectual in speech pattern but both men are equally gifted. They are the best of friends or as they say,"brothers of a different mother." You may be more comfortable learning from Tao.I have sat in on his classes on line. He is absolutely wonderful and can also give shaktipat and healings in class if you need them and he gives them often. Like Santi he takes a deep personal interest in his students. No teacher is just right for anyone. More than once people comment that they think of me and Santi as the rockstars of kundalini teaching. It's a bit wild and outrageous in our classes. People are always laughing and giggling. Santi once ran over to a guy in seminar and thumped him in the chest with Shakti and the student dissolved into a shaking, laughing vessel of bliss. Soon the whole class was laughing. That was Skender from Norway. Santi uses anatomically correct names, he uses profane names, and he uses sacred names all interchangeably. That is a Tantric approach. As Cat says, there is no Sacred and Profane. It is all one in the shining light of Consciousness. It takes a while for people to get to that Tantric approach to life. It takes practice. It is not for everybody since it brings people right outside their comfort zone. But that is a part of Tantra and also about Daoism. (I am not a Daoist so I would defer to a more authoritative opinion.) As a side note, that is also a part of feminisim. To take back those names and make them commonplace and non charged. I hope that helps some. s

I have received shaktipat from Guru Chidvilasananda (Guru Mayi of Siddha Yoga) and it was pretty impersonal for it happened in a large room in the South Fallsburg, NY, ashram although I received a personal audience with her for a few minutes. A friend of hers wanted me to meet her.She has some sweet Shakti energy although the organization has it's problems. That was after attending a $400 class. I also received personal Shaktipat from Shri Anandi Ma. She's got the power too. Very sweet Shakti. That was $250 for about 10 seconds of personal attention and a touch to the top of my forehead and a gift of very plain mala beads. There was another person whom I met, Hindu, but can't remember his name. Sweet disposition but didn't feel much in a way of Shakti coming from him. I met him by chance at a tv studio. Nothing happened with them that was strong enough to motivate me to leave and study with a guru. My personal experiences being taught by Shakti Herself were and are far more powerful than any guru I have ever met. I do enjoy reading commentaries on Hindu Scriptures by both Guru Mayi and Shri Ananda Ma. Kalki Bhagavan's energy really creeps me out so I stay far away form the Oneness group. Sorry to be so blunt but it is a visceral feeling I get from him and his operation. I do know it is in the 10s of thousands of dollars to attend his school to learn diksha in India. There is another female guru from India who gives Deeksha. I ran across her followers at a Spritualist Church in Denver and went to a presentation. It was a mixture of a lot of new age, Theosophy, a mishmash of stuff that was popular in the 80s, and some hinduism-lite. I had to leave because it was all so much sweetness and light I felt like I might need an insulin shot soon. The presenters were all dressed in white and talked in soft effeminate whispers. My intuition was telling me to get out and not let them touch me. I am very particular on whom I let do energy work on me. Just sharing a few of my personal experiences. s

I am wondering why that would even occur to you to ask or think that about him and his family? He's a Latino born in Venezuela. Take a guess what his family relationships might be like. I just received a text from him and his little 3 year old daughter has a fever and he is very concerned about her and is asking for prayers. I know he is holding her tight and doing healing work with her as he worries. Its too bad we can only know each other thru the printed word. It is so inadequate to show nuances of emotions and feeling. We are all so quick to judge each other for the worst. I am just as guilty. Having spent a lot of time with Santiago, teaching in classes and online, traveling with him...creating new seminars and such with him... I am saddened that people think a one dimensional sentence describes the whole complexity of a person. We work together because he is one of the most big hearted loving persons I have met. He also knows what he is talking about. His alpha male yang personality is larger than life. I know he loves, adores , and respects women deeply from being around him so much. And women respond in kind to him. When we travel out of country to do a seminar or head off to some place like Los Angeles, I will fuss about all kinds of things because I feel insecure as a single woman traveling alone. He will say to me, "don't worry. I will protect you." And he does. He IS always there, watching my back, seeing to my comfort. Since he is a top ranking martial artist in more than a few systems and has worked as an executive level bodyguard, he is not kidding when he says he will protect me. He is also protective of his wife and small children (youngest is 4 months). He is a full time father taking care of 5 kids, plus carrying a full on teaching schedule and work schedule producing the music for a television program. He is also producing music, recording, and playing guitar in two well regarded bands. He NEVER complains about that. Some will blow this off as a kiss ass kind of thing to do. Eh...it is what it is. It is good to know more about a person than the very little, narrow window that is presented on this forum. It is good to have friends who will stick up for you. So please re-evaluate our knee jerk responses to things we read. Relax, take a deep breath, set the post aside for an hour and then come back to it. I will. s

its all Grace. The more one longs for Shakti like one longs for a lover (like Rumi would write)the more likely the awakening will happen and will 'take'. what starts the process of the divine flow is to recognize that in others first. when you make that connection you will feel it in your heart. How it all falls out is between Shakti and the receiver. I can only facilitate and help remove blocks. the AYP lesson on shaktipat is very good. there also comes a time when your body becomes so saturated with Shakti's presence that you don't have to do anything. People can feel the Shakti just by being in your presence. I never force. One can never force Shakti. If you could it is not really Shakti. shakti hugs, Susan

Divine Energy, Cosmic Shakti, Shekinah, Ruah, Baraka, on and on. THIS is present in all the world's major spiritual traditions. Look for it. It's there. No one tradition or people has an exclusive wrap or lock down on how THIS represents itself or how to interact with IT. Those cultures that insist their way is the Right way gives an interesting insight into that tradition and culture. Santiago tends to collect those on his youtube channel as favorites. You might check there. http://www.youtube.com/user/silatyogi They are not set up in any specific category so they are mixed in with other things. We are creating a specific channel called kundalini awakening that will have videos of healing, shaktipat, transmissions etc. It is is the process of being created so there is nothing there yet. s

I already had a good idea of who I was but it was the kundalini awakening process that solidified who I was in an experiential manner. I knew theoretically I was Self for a long time but I had no experiential knowing at all. There were also a lot of fear around that knowledge. When I saw, felt, experienced and was told about the Self that settled into the cells of my body and fear left. It was during that first shaktipat there was deep, non-mind, non-logical feeling that translated into a feeling of natural rightness that this was why I was born. You could waterboard me and I would never deny it. Well, if you can make me deny that my eyes are brown then maybe you could. Yes, it can be like that video. Some people fall of their chairs the kriyas are so strong. Some people start orgasming. Yes, you can be "taught". I learned from listening to what Shakti told me and observing how kundalini moved in my body, in the universe and watched how it affected other people. I know that in some yogic traditions it happens by transmission for a lineage but I was not part of a lineage. In KAP people will learn how to do Shaktipat (the more intuitive, sensitive will)although it is not taught formally as part of the course. My personal opinion is that learning to give Shaktipat is a reproducible, teacheable skill. I think this is not something that should be kept in the hands of just a few. I would love if there were more people who could give shaktipat but it does take time to develop the virtues and clarity and surrender to divine will. Shaktipat, among regular people, does happen but it most often appears to be totally spontaneous. That's a good thing. To take it to where you can sit in a room with people, or walk up and lay your hands on someone or transmit long distances takes some practice and some guidance. I really had none but I used to tell people in my classes that if they listen I give instruction on how to give shaktipat all the time. Santi does too but do people really hear it? Regardless, the sender has to be present in the now and put no judgment on manipulating flow for it to be effective. It took me a long time to be able to learn to become a conscious, responsible transmitter versus a spontaneous one. With a teacher the time can be much shorter. Larry can be connected with on the higher planes. love, s

Dr. Larry Jensen is who I first received Shaktipat from in 1991. It was in that first kundalini meditation with him I realized the reason I was born was to give Shaktipat. Imagine being in a room with 40 other people while he is giving shaktipat and everyone is swaying in their chairs, moaning and groaning, and shaking in ecstasy. He is my role model for giving shaktipat. He didn't know how to teach me but I certainly learned a lot from observation and gettting Shaktipat and transmissions from him numerous times. He is one of my spiritual mentors and is now my friend. He lives in Sedona, Az. If you ever go there let me know and I will see if I can arrange some kind of meet with him. He's a true original like Dr. Glenn Morris was. Bliss, Susan

you are welcome. You can get shaktipat from him just by watching the video. Shaktipat is another culture's name for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. larryjensen.com s

Do not worry. It is not Satanic. You have to be a Christian to believe in Satan. Calling Reiki Satanic is like calling Chi Kung satanic. They aren't. Ole learned Kundalini Reiki by it being "channeled " to him by an Ascended Master is the story. Reiki is Japanese in origin for the system. Ki is the japanese word for Chi and Rei roughly means divine energy from God. You can read more about it here. http://www.aetw.org/reiki_def.html susan

It depends on the individual, An. People do it both ways. If you really are not sure start the KAP1 and if you feel it's OK stay for the second level. No problem with that. Just save that three day weekend just in case you want to do it all in one weekend. You will probably want to stay though because we have so much fun and all that Shakti is just lovely to be in. We get reports that a weekend training is a real milestone in people's development for it advances them quickly along their path. We are looking forward to meeting you then when we are in the UK teaching in July. If you do attend come up to meet me, introduce yourself and I will give you heart shaktipat if you ask People must always ask. It has to be consensual. Blessings, Susan

We do global shaktipat and meditations usually around the full and new moons for groups. There is no charge. People who do benefit will donate to a children's charity or to another charity for earthquake victims in Haiti. We used to announce our meditations on Bums but we have become so busy we created a Face book page for announcements. You do have to belong to Facebook to get the info. We are over 2700 people from all over the world and it's a nice place to ask questions too. Santiago and I don't do this kind of work full time. We have regular jobs and families and other responsibilities that come first. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Kundalini-Awakening-and-Global-Shaktipat-Kundaliniawakeningcom/196075402080?ref=ts You can see some videos that Santiago has made to recieve a Reiki Attunement or receive Shaktipat that are posted on the site. One only needs to join the group on Facebook to see and benefit. We are making more videos to share with people for transmission. We do not charge for these. Do keep in your heart that you would like to receive Shaktipat. It helps prepare the ground. The purpose of Shaktipat is to assist you in your spiritual journey on the path of self-realization. To know the Self. It is not just for kundalini awakening. There are other methods to receive shaktipat for sure but working it on your own, as I have said before, it is very rare to receive shaktipat that way but it does happen. I had been asking to know God for 30 years (yes, that is a reason for Shaktipat) and that's how long it took before I got shaktipat one day and my kundalini began to awaken. I received from a western master. Here is a video of him giving Shaktipat. He is very powerful. He is the Archbishop of a church now. There are good programs out their for mantra practice and etc that will help you develop Kundalini. Of course, I am partial to our own training. People who come take classes with us in person which is about the same price as getting an individual session with one of us find they may not need to come to a private session. It is quite possible to make great advancement without having a private session and many do. We give Shaktipat to our students all the time in the classes. So a privates session can be way too much intensity to add. Things like Reiki can cause a spontatneous kundalini awakening but it is more from a top down process and doesnt really include a bottom up flow. Reiki is good to help smooth out rough kundalini flow but its purpose is not to give kundalini awakening. Santiago is a Reki Master in quite a few systems. He might be able to tell you more about how reiki and Kundalini are related and not related if he has time. He is busier than me these days so it may take a while. There are "free" ways to get Shaktipat but if no money is involved there is some other type of karmic payback that must be taken into consideration. Gurus may do it for "free" but they receive lots of donations and devotions, etc in exchange for example. It's just what do you want to do and how do want to incur karmic debt. You don't have to be part of one particular spiritual tradition. In Christianity, praying for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, is a way of receiving Shaktipat for example. Here is one of our instructors, Tao Semko, teaching 5 necessities for a safe and permanent kundalini awakening. here is the 2nd part: Santiago is making a You tube Channel where there will be a lot of videos on healing, shaktipat, and kundalini. In process so its not up. If you desire for Shakti to touch your life more than anything else in this lifetime this will happen. It will probably come when you are least expecting. Many blessings, Susan

Amrita Grace. What a beautiful name for a little girl! You bring up something important. A human surrogate is not necessary for shaktipat. I have a friend who can stand in front of an opening flower and receive shaktipat because of his deep connection to All That Is.. I have also received shaktipat in dreams from Babaji, Mutkananda, Guru Mayi, and other people. Yes, you are right. It can dramatically alter energy flow. Mutkananda (he had already died a few years back) opened up my third eye. It felt like someone was crunching glass in my forehead and I could hear sounds like grating sands. That went on for a couple of weeks. I have also received shaktipat from Spirit Animals. I already relayed about my experinces with Grandmother Bear. Unbelieveable ramping up of power after she raked her claws down my back and through my spine. I could hear the click, click, click of her claws as it touched each rib on the way down. I could smell the raw wetness and hear the sounds of my flesh tearing like tearing raw meat with your bare hands. I felt my blood flowing down my back. I could feel her standing on my back as she tore into my bones, crunching them between her jaws. The weight of her pressed me down deep into my bed that afternoon. I could feel and hear her breath. Suprisingly, it did not hurt. Yes, grace beautiful grace. I did not deserve for my kundalini to be awakened. I had no practice, no understanding, no knowledge of any of it. I was truly a blank slate when it began to happen. Well, I had some free time these last couple of days that I normally dont have. Thank you for letting me share some of my experiences with you. I have to duck out for awhile now. You can always reach me if you need to by PM. shakti love, Susan

Hi An, Great question! The simple answer is No, once awake always awake no matter what. Awakening Kundalini is similiar to the 2nd birth talked about in the Christian Bible. One cannot undo being born. One cannot reverse the process no matter how much one tries. Once you are on the path, you are on the path. You might be able to delay progress but until you die...you are on the path. Kids will say, " i wish I was never born!" and we laugh and think oh how cute. But, it is the same way with kundalini. I can guarantee there will probably be days you wish it just never was awakened but to stop it is like saying you wish you were never born. If it does stop then it wasn't really kundalini IMO. You can close the door but never really shut it all the way. Although, after having lived with kundalini shakti for almost 20 years (starting in Oct 1991), I can say why would anyone want to? Regarding sitting on the couch and stuffing yourself with chips and watching TV, why I do that now. LOL except it is more likely to be popcorn and watching Bones or Fringe or True Blood It helps to think of this as just not a process of chi cultivation, which if you drop practice, there will be a problem. We are working with a Presence that is alive and has it's own intelligence. We all have kundalini already in our bodies but it sleeps. There is a physiological kundalini that keeps us alive and when we die it goes out. There is a psycho-spiritual-evolutionary kundalini that is a driver to transform one to live on a higher plane of existence but sleeps until awakened by practice or what appears to be an accident or something spontaneous. When you awaken Kundalini it will take charge of your practice. Sometimes Santi and I will give instruction and a student will say, "i tried that but it felt like the kundalini wanted me to do this way." We will ask, "tell us about it?" And upon listening to the student's stories we will agree, yes, that was a good choice for you. So Shakti can take generic instruction and mold and individualize it for a person's greater benefit. It happens more often than not. When Santi and I were teaching KAP 2 in Los Angeles a few weeks ago I asked Santi why didnt' he teach the Shiva mudra because it so potentiates kundalini intensity and flow. Santi replied that he thought it best they discovered it on their own. One student shared with me later that day that the mudra was so intense in how it ramped up the energy it scared him. I told the student "that intensity and power that you feel while doing that mudra is what Santi and I feel 24/7. You get used to it and it becomes a part of your everyday life." Ok, I just a shared a "secret" with you. LOL I did not know that was called a Shiva mudra until Santiago told me. It was something that Shakti shared with me and made me do back in the late 90s. So get away from the idea that this is like any other training where you become deconditioned if you don't practice. I have been lying on a hospital bed, fresh from surgery, tied up to IVs and Oxygen, and the Shakti pumps through me so strong it will make the bed roll back and forth on the bed wheels with vibration and swaying. I have been sick to almost dying and yet still give Shaktipat to people. But you can meet people like Santiago or Dr. Glenn Morris who have a lot of traditional training around kundalini, ilmu tenaga dalam ilah, and higher esoteric practices and they can help you refine your practice (and give empowerments) so as to make the path easier to reach even higher levels. I am forever grateful to having met them both and for them taking a personal interest in me to help me reach even greater understanding and realization. I am also grateful to Santiago for empowering me with the same empowerments that he has so when teach together we can bring greater benefits and be of service to the students. Long answer but I hope that helps some. s
