Nope...I was responding to the ABOVE quote: Still not any clearer. I am used to people not following my conceptual leaps but you...non-sequiter land it seems to me where you live. I am thick in the head sometimes. Stinging nettles are yummy in a soup. Have a bit of a nice anise flavor. Very high in Vit C. Used to get them wild when I lived in Nelson, BC. They just pulsed with chi. s

Do not worry, Kate. You are OK. Ever walk into a room and find some one who makes your skin crawl or conversely makes you happy just by being in their presence? All people transmit on an unconscious awareness level. Few have the ability, unless trained or self trained, to be conscious transmitters. Speaking from experience there are people who just make my skin crawl and I just want to run screaming from the room. Then there are others who I just want to cuddle up to because their energy is so sweet. Transmission is similiar to what they do in long distance healing, like Reiki. For beginners, I would advise learning to be conscious of what you do transmit at all times. If you have a good heart, sweet disposition, like others, are concerned with giving...that is transmitted in your wei chi (auric) field. If you are suspicious, have a drug or other type of addiction problem, nasty disposition, insecure or needy etc...that is transmitted in your field. And don't worry...intent over rides technique in energetic work generally so this is not an occasion to beat yourself up because you are learning. Transmission happens because there is not time and space in Consciousness. Once that becomes real to you on an experiential level you will gain some mastery in conscious transmission. I SEE YOU!

Some transmission is unavoidable. When the sun shines everybody gets warm whether they want to or not. There is an old bible verse that says, "it rains on the just and the unjust." I get this question a lot from students...how do I not affect people? You really can't. You can throw your energy down to your feet...hide your Wa.... but that is a lot to expect from a beginner. Prayer can be considered being strong armed, don't you think? There is a song we used to sing as children in childrens's church: "This little light of mine"

No...she is married and living in Ohio I last heard. People ask me that all the time. I have people who get transmission from me in person and not in person. Both process are felt by many to be powerful, just different. It seems that people who take online eventually end up repeating the class in person eventually. It's a nice review and a great boost in energy. Fortunately there is a big discount to repeat. Online class is powerful but a slower process spread out over weeks. The in your face class is covered in a weekend. Here are some first hand accounts if you would like to read about the differences in person, in class, on line: http://www.kundaliniawakening.com/testimonials.html http://www.kundalinisupportnetwork.com/what-people-say.html they are testimonials so... take them as you wish.... I have more but I have not put them up yet

I have not a freaking clue why you would respond to my post with this statement. Sometimes I wonder if you live in some parellel dimension. I thought I made gigantic leaps from one concept to another. ah well...

If a person has energy, whether cultivated or ambient, it can fry electrical stuff. This is part and parcel of the kundalini experience. It does not mean a person who blows out pcs has k but it does mean the energy being emitted is harsh on equipment. Santi and I routinely destroy Skype either together or separately. First it sounds like someone has an auto tune on the conversation. Then the conversation starts to fade or sounds like a conversation between droids. Eventually the program will crash and may even cause the computer to go down. When Santi teaches breathing techniques or other cultivation techniques live over Skype...it is almost guaranteed Skype will crap its brains out and die. Santi routinely destroys cell phones. When we talk on the phone sometimes the phone dies out. I have a friend who is such a chi beast that when he speaks into a mic all that gets through is static. Another friend used to send me energy. He would set off the speakers and get them squealing in my equipment even if the speakers were turned off and unplugged. The interesting thing was he was sending from the UK and I live in Colorado. When Dr. Glenn Morris and I would touch my Jeep simultaneously the car alarm would always go off. Kundalites have lots of stories like that. Personally, I can pick up a fluorescent tube and it will start glowing without intending anything. Never checked to see if others can do that too. I can also sense electrical flow at times. I can feel when a traffic light is going to change. Did this in a car full of people while rushing to get to the airport. They thought I was changing the lights but no...I just could feel when it was going to change. Freaked them out.

Depending on the culture one gets a different read on where the repository of kundalini energy lies. For the hindu tradition it is written to be coiled 3.5 times in front of the curve of the tailbone. (There is a whole ancient sanskrit treatise on kundalini development which the name escapes me right now.) When activitated, "awakened", its normal course is to rise up the spine in an etheric or energy channel called the sushumna. This is analagous to the Tai Ji pole or to the Central Channel. There are variances of description depending on what cultural lens you are looking through. The Khalahari Bushman, Navajo, Celts, Esoteric Judaism, Mayans and many others major traditions have something similiar. There are over 80 different words for living energy, chi, kundalini out there. (Forgot the reference) Some traditions don't make the fine distinctions in energetic anatomy like medical daoism, buddhism, or hinduism do. Instead one would have to look at what the energy manifests and how it manifests in the individual to get a good read on what type it is. You can even call me Susan if you like.

Hi An, I will give you my opinion. Santi can give you his. I was involved for several years with teaching the old KAP version that Dr. Morris created with Santiago. There was also a version that Glenn taught before Santiago became Glenn's student and friend. Glenn was an empiricist who was continually revising and refining the process. I am saying that after the first KAP training, KAP1, Dr. Morris said if the student practiced specific practices...and he gave a practice CD to the student when I was teaching with him that had on it the Buddha Breath, the Secret Smile,(that is not the Inner Smile found in other traditions) and the Microcosmic Orbit...his versions...that your kundalini would awaken in 90 days after practicing two times a day for 20 minutes. Privately me he told me it would be much quicker but he had to make allowances for people who couldn't follow directions or were resistant. Santi's improved version of KAP, of which he just listed the contents, in my opinion makes the process go faster. How much faster...less than 90 days? He will have to tell you the specifics. I have only been working with Santi since June. The other two levels of KAP are great and help and advance one along the Kundalini process but are not needed to awaken Kundalini. They can make the process go quicker and help you become even more adept on the kundalini path. Kundalini, when authentically awakened and mature, never goes back to sleep. The door can never be shut on it in my experiences. If it did...I would say IMO it was never fully awake. Lucid dreaming and dream yoga. I know we talk about it but I don't think it is part of the curriculum. It just comes up for as part of the discussions student have with us. Santi will have to verify. I am still learning the curriculum. KAP will make you an Alpha rabbit among rabbits. Nice pic! Thank you for the questions. I hope I helped. Under promise and over deliver. It's good customer service. We try to give more than is asked for in KAP as instructors. Take once, give back twice as the saying goes in KAP.

just my two cents...maybe three pence these days Awakening the kundalini does not mean one becomes enlightened...far from it. (hello, look at me as an example). That is a trap that people fall into. The journey then just begins. Enlightenment then, however that is defined, does not depend on kundalini development but it sure helps the process along. Kundalini refers to energy that is historically thought to be coiled at the base of the spine in a dormant state. There are two types of kundalini. One keeps the body alive. If you don't have kundalini you are dead. The other is an energetic driver for spiritual, emotional, mental, physiological evolution. Here's a good layman explanation without getting into the details: http://www.kundaliniawakening.com/about-ku...-awakening.html I recently posted this a day or two ago to heavenlygong's request. It is an excerpt from a much longer post: For me a mature kundalini awakening is Shakti rising through the body to meet with her Beloved Shiva, marry him, and live in divine union and bliss expressed in the physical vehicle called Susan. The non poetic explanation is the energy rises up the back piercing, clearing, activating all the chakras (both positive and negative expressions) and indwelling all the dan tiens. The energy not only rises up the back but comes down the front into the earth, cycles through the earth and up the legs again and again. The energy not only runs this major yin yang circuit or orbit but it settles not only into all the energy channels of the body but settles deep within the cells of all the body. There is a continuous flow of energy and conscious awareness between heaven and earth with the physical vessel known as Susan with her heart as the nexus point. The body literally swims saturated in the flow of kundalini. It can be felt as a pulse or tidal wave that moves at different speeds. Ancients sometimes likened it to the undulations of a snake. The kundalini eventually settles even into the marrow of the bones creating a frission of bliss that feels like an internal fountain of champagne bubbles that is not only felt by the practitioner but by other sensitives. The bliss is so exquisitely pleasureable it borders on being unbearable, even feeling a bit painful in it's intensity. Only by holding a state of micro muscular tension in my body at all times I keep from falling over into spontaneous kriyas and expressions of bliss and ecstasy. Always, the whole current of the Universe feels like bliss as Shiva and Shakti continually make love as the universe is destroyed, created and destroyed again on all levels from micro to macro. Peace in my heart is deep and physically palpable, not an intellectual construct. In the KAP school the party line is : Enlightenment is a biological process. For me, the state of enlightenment..whatever that is...holds no attraction. How best can I serve this world and those in it with the abilities Shakti has given me is of the greatest attraction. Kundalini awakening can be spontaneous and immediate or it can take anywhere up to some years. Historically the KAP program, if you diligently follow and do the directions, takes about 90 days. That number is based on empirical studies Glenn Morris use to do with his students, he was a college teacher and with his MA students, since the 90s. It is not unusual for the process to happen quicker if you are not in solitary practice. By that I mean, if you practice with a group and a teacher. When I used to teach alone, teaching people to awaken their kundalini, my goal was to get the process started in a weekend time frame and that was often the case. Where KAP is traditionally based on a formula of specific practices drawn from different traditions based on empirical testing and practice, my method was to primarily awaken Kundalini by energy transfer. I would put my hands on all my students and directly initiate and start the process during the weekend. I also had a fair number of advanced students who would assist me for they were able to initiate others also. Santi has improved the old KAP program where things move quicker. He does far more energy initiations and transfer than I have ever seen a teacher do before. He even does it more than me. So my process was direct initiation to activate the kundalini. I would then spend a good portion of the seminar teaching people about how to live with kundalini in a fun and healthy manner. I wrote this essay back in 2006: I lifted it from the kundalinisupportnetwork.com website that i have. What Does Kundalini Activation Do? by Susan A. Carlson, BSN, RN Susan is the Founder of the Kundalini Support Network. Kundalini Energy is living energy in the body that has two aspects, inner and outer. The outer kundalini aspect controls the physical, bodily process. It is what makes our heart beat, causes our lungs to breathe in and out. Simply put it is what keeps our bodies alive. When it is absent our bodies die. The inner aspect of kundalini is normally dormant. It is an evolutionary driver for physio-psycho-spiritual transformation. It can be awakened in several different ways. Once awakened, it propels us to a self awareness that can be unparalleled in the world of self help seminars/books and human potential meetings. Once the awakening becomes fully mature self awareness is evident and heart and body felt bliss comes from merging into and becoming one with the Tao, Spirit, God, or All That Is. This is the goal of all major religions, esoteric martial arts and other spiritual systems. The end result is we can no longer draw a line of separation between us and the God Force. Ten of the benefits of Self Awareness: Synchronicity. Life no longer seems slavery to chance circumstance. We start operating in the natural flow of the Universe. The Ancients call this flow the Tao. A dawning of experiential knowing, not an intellectual acknowledgement, there is an intelligent, universal energy, what some may call the God Force. An equal knowing that we can access this energy at any moment. You will begin to feel loved beyond belief! Fear begins to evaporate to be replaced by peace. Peace is not the absence of conflict. Peace is the continual awareness of the presence of the God Force and the sacredness of all things. We begin to develop an appreciative wonder for the Universe and everything it holds. You will begin to experience a connectedness to everyone and everything. Bliss becomes a natural state. Bliss can be shared with others as we become transformed by our meditative practice. Health and wellness is more easily achieved. The mind, body, spirit split is healed and we achieve integration as total and complete human beings. Note that I would update this a little because I am continually growing and refining my practice in kundalini development. You also might review Santi's latest posts because he gives his perspective too. He is more of the traditional practice clinician than I am, having studied for many years. I am more of an esoteric mystic in my practice which is more improvisational. I only began studying qigong in the last 4-5 years although my kundalini began to awaken in 1991. We are not mirror twins of each other. We do have differences and he is the Director of the program. I hope you can tell from my response that I have an intimate, empirical relationship with this energy. It is not something I read in a book. It comes from having lived with for a long time in this process with hardly anyone, hardly any reference and no teacher to help me. I was generally alone in this process. The reason I teach is so others don't have to go through what I did nor for as long. Also for clarity, I was not a student of Dr. Morris's. He heard about me and searched me out to teach with him. We taught and learned from each other during our professional collaboration. Nice question. Thanks. I hope I helped a little.

good grief....you call that an attack... LOL...i said I did the exact same thing that's when I was a fundamental Christian and that's why it annoyed me. Reread what I wrote. I just offered that I have been where he is so please be gentle with him. I have done evangelizing and missionary work and I know what can motivate that kind of behavior. I also knew it would get me thrown out of place or like Drew says, banned. But you know what? when you are on a mission you don't care. It is actually a badge of honor for us missionaries to get thrown out of place for our beliefs. We BRAG about it to each other as proof of our commitment to the cause and or leader. We fundies recognize each other whether we are recovering fundies or not. God bless Drew. He's got the zeal and faith in his convictions that he has found the Way. Not many do.

I have actually seen the real stuff. I also was knocked down by a chi blast and fell hard to my knees and keeled over on my chest, laying prostate on the floor and entered into this blank zone for a few minutes. It left bruises on my knees. The teacher, Grand Master Zhang Jin Fa, did it as a surprise move on me. I was totally unprepared and up to that point a total non believer thinking it was some kind of mass hypnosis performed on gullible students. http://shaolinchankung.tripod.com/shanghaiqigong/id12.html To make it even more spooky...he just turned abruptly and passed me his fanny pack...and zapped me through the pack. Sneaky bastard We were co teaching together to about 40 people at Mount Menla Retreat in upstate NY. (It's a great place owned by Tibet House. http://www.menla.org/Menlahome.html) A big part of me thinks it was a territorial display...someone half his age and a non chinese, non buddhist female at that was sharing equal billing with him at a Buddhist retreat and he was a Buddhist! The majority of the people there were my students. I have stories! Jin used to think my students were very advanced because they went into spontaneous chi gong forms and shaking very quickly with a little chi transmission. He didn't realize they had been softened up with a little kundalini training beforehand. I have seen the soke of Hoshin, Rob Williams, use Ilmu Tenaga Dalam ( a silat skill) which he learned from Santiago on a new Ryu member who had no idea what that stuff was. This guy came running at Rob full force, like a good ninja, who stood there with his arms folded across his chest. Brady went flying across the room to the left before he got within two feet of Rob. No one was more surprised than Brady. Rob invited Brady to make another pass again with the same result....crash. Brady ran at a top speed like a bull. It was not a thing about being attuned to the teacher. He had just met Rob for the first time that weekend at the Ryu meeting. People who combine inner spiritual power, like Tenaga Dalam, with physical power that comes from cultivation and superb martial arts skills are extremely dangerous to bad people. It's scary stuff. Myself and Santi are teaching in London, UK this weekend. We will be hanging with his Silat posse. I couldn't be any safer anywhere. Good thing...because I have no combat skills.

When I was really young I remember when the Hari Krishna group used to haunt the terminals of airports begging for money. I had one earnest young woman, when I opened up my little purse to show her my one moldy green penny, she snatched it out and ran away but not before she placed the huge hard bound "bible" of their group in my chubby little hands. Standing in the lobby and pamphleteering is odd be in it cyber space or on the street corner handing out propaganda for evangelizing or going door to door like a Jehovah's witness. It all smacks of a little desperation and need for approval of the big guy in the sky or one's guru IMO. It's not like he is asking us to buy Viagra or genuine Gold rolex watches. He is pimping for his guru. He's a missionary for SFQ. Personally, I find it annoying because I used to be a fundamental Christian and I did plenty of the witnessing for Jesus act so like a reformed smoker I have a distaste for that kind of behavior. I suppose we could call what he is doing SPAM but I think his heart is in the right place. He really thinks he is doing the right thing because he is a "true believer". So be gentle with Drew whatever you decide. He means well.

It's a hoodie I was wearing while hiking up in the mountains on a snowy day. A friend took a picture and another friend made the jedi pic. It's so fun. Santi and I are just plain, every day people. Some people wants us to dress up in fancy robes, monk clothes, special jewelry and such...cause they say we get more students. Nope...won't do that. We did think though to buy some Jedi clothes as a joke and walk into a seminar one day dressed like that. Thanks for the music. Loved it.

if you need someone to talk to about making it thru...i am here. I did the 6 year plan to get my BSN LOL and I have been a nurse since 1986. Done it all. Statistics was my personal demon. my brains are on paper or a laptop....go see an acupuncturist and get your kidneys worked on for memory all the learning tools you can download and carry on PDA...all the doctors do it...and a lot of the nurses Consider learning at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center here in Denver. It's energy therapy friendly at the univ. Huge gigong, alternative healing, and marital arts community in Denver! Great place to hone your practice skills. Just google qigong and denver. They also have a bachelor's to BSN program. Or a bachelor's to Doctorate in Nursing. One of the top ten nursing schools in the US. I love living in Denver. I am networked into the alternative health scene so I can make intros if you like.

Disclaimer: not a martial artist... nothing like getting beat up with a reality stick back to square one.... doesn't mean that what he claims doesn't exist...its just he not good at it how often have you heard someone claiming they are an expert at something and then get their butt handed back to them after they were kicked off the mat? this is no different as far as his students' reactions...it is subtle energy and if you are attuned to your master...it has an effect like this. i can do this with my students...not a big deal when you are working with people who respect you...the real power is shown when you have to work with the haters and predators....you have to know other ways rather than just throwing out your wei chi field... what we think people should do and what they do are way different. i love being a nurse and I am always training in different things to make more money and get promoted...

i know how to discern who is worthy and who is not.... you haven't yet learned how to be a good judge of character? you are going to get screwed in life if you don't. I can tell who is going to waste my time pretty quick and I would rather not have that person as a student. Let someone else take that compassion project on. I am here to train people not to spend my time teaching people how to be decent and courteous. Let mommy and daddy do that. I bet you have no money or don't undertand the value of money...throwing pearls out on the road hoping that some day a beggar will pick them up? who are you kidding? so many people dodge the 'so what's your experience to back up your mouth?' on this board...and I am still suspicious of many who say they can. Those who can back it up...the energy is apparent in the way they write...experience recognizes experience. i dont take disrespectful bricks for students who possess a sense of entitlement unless they want to pay tribute to be abused by me....its the old school way of training and why should I offer anything different? subtle energy works better on craps or card games... and the good ones are not going to advertise that this is what they do by letting you observe them or score big pots....that's what amateurs do because it indulges the ego and they don't know how to cloak themselves. fa jin in MMA????? no way.... too much of an esoteric practice

no...it is about being irresponsible and abuses of power and knowledge...historically dark lord, sorcerer types...Charlatans will learn a few tricks but they only get the gullible for their students. Unfortunately, they usually get the majority of the students. Usually these students are looking for someone to teach them the way to feel powerful in their hopeless lives. People seek power many times just to bolster their own sense of inadequacy and low self esteem. Movies and fiction are made up of these stories. we all get the teachers we deserve. Quickie...no... 30 years...no Some students bloom almost immediately but there is a lifetime of refinement on this path. No weekend class and hey, look, card carrying Master. When a teacher proclaims they have arrived...do run screaming into the night in the opposite direction. They must be dead! No, there are are no shortcuts but there are unnecessarily long detours IMO. I wish I had KAP around when my kundalini was awakening. It would have saved me a lot of pain and false starts. That's why I teach. KAP 1 is basics. I don't know why you would think it is not. I still stand by natural abilities as valid. Weakness or lack of virtue/character will kick people off the path. Strong and good hearts, although inexperienced, are welcome to apply. Those who want to be of greater service to this world please apply. Those who want to put aside their selfish desires for advancement and power and instead wish to bring love, peace, and healing to this world and themselves, PLEASE apply.

call a hot line and get help... no one pulls the trigger but you and speaking to us will not help you get any better.... you really should not be looking to the internet for help...there are no experts here...just voyeurs who are unknowingly perpetuating your suffering. so send me your phone number and your location and I will find someone to refer you to
-
In previous posts it was already established that several months ago he came to this board looking for help and said he was going to get help. Correct me if I am wrong. This by his own admission is about him getting help for his paranoia. I am a RN who works in mental health with psychotics. I will tell you from experience...reality bites and is offensive. But someone whose mind is suffering from erroneous thinking is unable to help itself. I think that is probably a universal maxim. It all comes down to a matter of degrees then. Unable to help self...does this mean I have a difficult time with getting up in the morning, do i have a difficult time establishing meaningful relationships with my self and others or does it mean I have a loaded gun in the night stand? Should i find support within the sangha or got to a professional? Why not do both? Yes...support the person but do not feed the disease or its drama. Bringing people back to what is real is kinder.

I just want to stress there is "spiritual power" and then there is the internal cultivation necessary to regain our innate abilities as human beings that our bodies were designed for. To some those look like spiritual powers. They are not. It's like training to be a better archer or a cook. That's all that is. Train to be a better human being. The question is do people want to regain these natural abilities that come when one dances with the Wu Li masters? A teacher told me once..."do you know what that line is between the dark and the light on the Yin Yang symbol?" I said no. He responded, "That's where the masters dance." Most do not want that level of power. With great power comes great responsiblity. The KAP path is unforgiving, fast, and harsh in that if you don't follow what the intructors say and surrender to the direction of kundalini shakti...you will be kicked to the curb...not by us...but by your own weakness and brittle ego. I know spiritual power and i know enhanced human abilities that we are designed for. There is a difference. The process is self selecting. Hatsumi Sensei used to say, "bad ninja go away." Maybe a 100 years ago a good teacher was accountable for their students in the way if student went bad, the teacher's responsibility was to handle the problem by killing them. It still happens in some parts of the world. If this was still enforced in modern times...might we see less strutting and power displays on tbums?
