Skeletal and Bone Marrow Shaking demonstrated by Santiago Dobles (Vajrasattva), KAP Director.
-
Sifu Dan and Santi and I are close although this vid was made in 2007 before we all came to know each other. We share a lot of info between us. I learned also shaking and bone marrow breathing from Grandmaster Jin Fa, a Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan Qi Gong Master in Vancouver, BC and Master Duan Zhi-Liang in Beijing. We also teach skin and hair breathing in KAP. There is much similarities in the good systems.

Yes, slapping loosens stagnant chi and helps bring up chi. You will see Silat practitioners slapping their body to bring up chi (and for other reasons.) My body does spontaneous shaking and breathing on it's own if I just stand in horse stance. Eventually the body will start moving into spontaneous postures like mudras, chi kung series. It can be very slow to quite expressive. It is fascinating. It's like getting a chiropractic treatment or a tui na massage.
-
yes...me too. I was into spontaneous chi kung before I even knew chi kung existed. it began to happen after my k woke up.

I was talking with Santiago about it and he verified it was so. Trying to see if I can find references. Glenn was well traveled and well connected in hidden circles so some of this is oral tradition but I will see if I can get a ref for you.

the thing that bites about long distance training is that I can't hold your hand when it is good to do so. forget about right technique, right posture, right context blah, blah, blah....a teacher brings comfort when things just aren't going right.

Sometimes speaking the Truth is a kind and compassionate thing to do.

I Opened my Kundalini, But I did it to Early!

being spritual and being a degenerate are not incompatible. If you goal is spirituality then know that there is not one thing that is not spiritual. It is all spiritual all the time, 24/7 or it is not. I eat, sleep, breathe, and sh*t god.... Where you stand is holy ground. what makes something sacred is you make it sacred. -
hah! stop it! ssssssshhhhhhh..... LMAO there is much known and of no words to describe but i speak at a level where more familiarity is known. It is easy enough to alienate people by insisting on certitude...i prefer being of service in a way that fits with my gifts....and I don't have the vocabulary to describe that which cannot be described. i am not interested in standing out amongst the crowd even more. I am more concerned with being relatable for being of service. That means I meet people where they are at. I don't want to speak to the few but the many. So many hurt and Mama archetype is so comforting. Let people make their own discoveries. Some are ready for meat but far more can only digest milk or at least bread and veggies. Some people will die for Truth or harm for exactness. So many more just want to be loved and comforted.

yes, some us (at least those of us who are KAP instructors) feel compelled to teach. just when my human self wants to pack up and say "f**k it, I am packing up my toys and going home," Mother Shakti softens my heart into warm puddle of love and tells me "just keep going, continue. All are my children. They need to know." I sulk for awhile, have a little pity party, and jump back in because I love being in the good graces of Mama Shakti.

So I repeat myself so that we know early on that I said the most efficient wasy of opening kundalini is in the first paragraph just in case anyone missed it. I have been told this by yoga and chi kung masters over the years a few times. If you want it fast and safe take KAP.(obligatory disclaimer, I am a KAP instructor). I would hazard saying it is efficient but then I am going to run for cover. To elaborate one Hsing-yi master told me that if I had been his student and my k awoke like it did for me under his tutelage he would have lost face because it was so uncontrolled and wild. Bad form and bad instruction. But he certainly loved to get Shaktipat from me. Hundun: how was your time with Sifu Jenny? I am sorry I missed you. Mom was in town and mothers get priority.

I think some of them might disagree with you on the cosmology and methods to maintain rightful living among other things. I think we fail if we attempt to paint this culture with a broad stroke like any culture.

I understand. Bushmen use oral tradition. When they die out, which is expected in this lifetime, it is gone. Different ways to accomplish things. I see correlations between what they do and gigong practice. Viewpoint is somewhat different.

Difficult to do somethings in that detail of abstraction when one has a learning disability. It is more effective for me to feel the energy around the concept and grok it in that way. Intellectualism and philosophizing does not help. Praxis does. I can feel and explore expansion and nothingness. The descriptions dont do much for my understanding. There is much out there and within that words cannot describe.

I know Jeff and worked with him for awhile while Glenn was still alive. Jeff is good for the unwashed public. He's kinda like a gateway drug for qigong. He offers it cheaply and makes money on the backend. If a person has been a serious student for a number of years of Qigong then there would not be much for them in his programs. He has a one-size fits all idea of qigong exercises. One of my students had developed some chi deviations when she did his qigongs. I think the shaman is real. He used to talk about her a lot and what he learned when he visited us but he never would reveal her name because that was her wish. All I know is that maybe she is from California. I think he was in his early 20s when he studied with her. Jeff's an OK guy. He is driven and worked hard to get where he is at. He really wanted to be successful in doing seminars. And he is. He can be pretty authoritarian and if you like that kind of stuff, he's your guy. It's true he doesn't seem to want to acknowledge his teachers publically which is kinda lame and bad form. I did some energy initiation on him and it ended up on his tantra page a while back but no acknowledgment of the part I had in empowering him tantrically and contributing to his knowledge base. Ah well....we all make mistakes and he is young and somewhat naive but I think he really wants to do good things for people. It's been 5 years since he and I have really talked so maybe things have changed. Who knows?

Sure they have. The ones who have awakened k grab the unawakened, hug, shake, and dance with them, and pass the kundalini between each other. Quite fun to watch and participate in. Sometimes I love giving Shaktipat that way. It's it not a verbal process but experiential. Old ways and superstition...hmmm...need to look closer to see if it is there. I know my student considers them very wise. Didn't know about the suicide thing. Why is codifying so important? What about those of us who can't grasp that? It makes my brain hurt.

I can speak from personal experience that the Bushman people are intimately acquainted with the phenomenon of Kundlaini. There are no kundalini accidents in the bush according to Brad Keeney who has studied with them and is considered one of their own. One of my senior students who has a mature kundalini development has studied in Africa with the Bushman. Very fascinating to compare their experiences of kundalini with other traditions. There is a lot of playfulness and love in their process.

I once said this, forgot about it and then saw it quoted by a student on Facebook recently. Some times I have moments of clarity. "What makes the process of understanding easier is to begin with the premise that Kundalini is a cross-cultural phenomenon appearing in major spiritual traditions since ancient times. Using that as a starting point it is easier to see correlations rather than saying that one tradition is correct and the rest are aberrations which happens often, tragically."

when does one deside to let the young figure it out on there own?

is he stuck in his ways or are you stuck in your ways? is there a need to win or be right here? our outside world is a projection of our inner world. -
He used to say this all the time in KAP class. He spent a lot of time in Japan studying. He also met quite a few masters in his lifetime. He was a prodigious reader (his library was legendary) but I dont remember where it came from. It may have also been mentioned in one of his books. He has extensive biblios in them. I know he was considered an expert on war and strategy. Santi (vajrasattva) or one of the other of his deshis might now. I will ask around. Another thing I remember him saying was fear was a great awakener of kundalini. It was the adrenaline response that would accelerate the opening. Fortunately, that doesnt seem to be used anymore. But, severe emotional trauma has been known to start the k moving spontaneously.

Breathing Through Diaphragm or Through the Stomach?
ShaktiMama replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
Depends on what you want to accomplish. I am partial to bone breathing and skin breathing myself which happens while I am breathing normally. That is nice to cultivate too. Spend 5-7 days doing each one and then compare. -
yes, it is. especially from a shaktipat guru. I can't recommend anything. I think it's more relevant to know why first. Why you want to does have a direct correlation to how it unfolds for you. The most efficient is for the patient. Three years with either yoga or qigong practice. That way the practice clears the "pipes" or energy channels so the opening is smooth. It is a life time committment so choose wisely. Fast awakening can be done. It was used in ancient times to awaken the energy up to the 1st and 2nd dantien in the military. If your enemy is coming across the country to invade your country one only has a certain period of time to develop almost a supernatural strength and skill for an advantage. Cultivate the first dantien for the cannon fodder, er I mean foot soldiers. 2nd dantien was for officers and third dantien was for the military and religious elite. Also royalty. Or at least Dr. Glenn Morris used to teach that.

yes, good. I often recommend that people work on their heart energies, opening, clearing, and smoothing during awakening. when i give shaktipat to people as a blessing, i put my hand over their heart and one on their back. It's a way to modulate and smooth out the 'roughness' or intensity of k flow if people are having difficulty. If you like I give you permission to contact me in your meditations and and imagine my hand touching your heart to let the shakti flow and help smooth out the experience...if you believe in that kind of stuff. If you are open to it, it begins now. Just say stop when you are ready. My students and friends say it work. Who knows?
