The top one hundred earners were paid enough money last year to end poverty on this planet.......four times over!
suninmyeyes replied to flowing hands's topic in General Discussion
Being able to be to make such amount of money is great , but being that rich is some sort of illness . If internally coneccted person makes so much money they would know what to do with it and give it away wisley and probably help the planet greatly and so many people. However -- to hoard such welath is some sort of strange hunger for power and nothing else. Being financially secure and have a life free of financial struggles and taking care of the family is one thing , but constantly striving and driving own life with the goal of being rich or constat feeling of material lack is IMO deviation . Is there a hope for human race ? I dont know , but as far as the money is concerned the best we can do is start from ourself and honestly understand what is money for , how much do we really need and what do we contribute to by spending it on certain products. No need to go OCD about it , but being sober and lucid. Does one person need 3 cars ? 20 pairs of shoes ? 5 winter coats ? Christamas tree ? New phone becouse the old one is 3 months old ? etc.. -
You have a point there , nevertheless regular daily practise -- asigning time soley to whatever practise a person does usually does make a difference . As a teacher I learnt from told : 'First you have to swim upstream , than you go with the flow of the river'. Even just through a discipline of daily practising -- ability to have a strong resolve , and determination to accomplish goals is achieved , so through that only alone life becomes easier and less tangeled up and confusing.

I think that what is most important is never to lose passion in life and have amazing time at least sometimes , but regulary. Regardless if one has or has not got a job. There is also so many people with wonderfull carrears , but dried out of vitality and so grey that they blend in with the pavement . This does not mean that carrears are bad , it is just pointing the importance to recgonise ones own potential mental predators , which vary from person to person. There is always a gamble of some sort going on . Always some sort of challenge -- whatever the life choice.

Dont know about mixing tummo and qigong.. Just to report that by now I have read the 'Becoming the iceman' book and it is OK . More or less someones very autobiographical take on training with Iceman. The main thing seems to be getting used to cold , training your body that way and increasing exposure to cold/freezing which if done with care increases ability to withsthand low temperatures . It seems to be very organic way of doing it, and to be honest I have not seen him mention tummo at all... So I was (am) either misunderstood /misinformed when wrote previous post or Iceman does not actually practise /teach tummo. Or maybe he does oractise it himself but doesnt actually teach it.

Doing it before going to sleep is also good,it changes the quality of sleep and dreaming .

oh, be quiet sinan. you have so many incredible qualities and openes about you. i havent read whole article you wrote , becouse for me the best is just getting any job or three if i want to travel and work like crazy.

it seems that you know already what is neccesary right now. Neccesety changes ,as situation change. For example if you want to have a breakfast , you need some food. Afterwards if you want to go for a walk in the park you need to put shoes on , unlock the door , close it and walk out of the house. You are not going to kitchen and have a walk there. So it is necessary to have a clear sense of purpose , but at the same time being fully flexible towards whatever outcome results. Just in case for example you get outdoors and there is a terrible storm stopping you from the lovley walk in the park.

Forcing yourself not to preach/deliver good messages
suninmyeyes replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
It is a good indicator if the feelings are balanced , awerness is sharp and intuition bare/uncovered. If not than there may be some trouble sometimes or often depending on the person. :-) If someone feels that they should press the button that may destroy whole of the earth , is this feeling a good indicator ? Similary lives get destroyed psychologically all the time -- 'becouse someone is pressing the wrong button'. Worst thing is that this situation has a serious potential of domino effect and literally destroys lives . Also have look at what we are doing to earth these days for example . We would not fart loudly in public place , but we would allow building dams where most important forests grow , so that they get destroyed. We would allow oil digging in a natural place that has been worshiped by many people as spot of power for centuries.... We would just take and take selfishly. On another hand yes I agree , selfishness is idea in a way . The reason we build these walls made out of ideas is that -- they keep our inner beasts in check. Lets not pretend , it keeps life alive. Some of those walls, however, should never crossed by most of the people . This is not moralising , but our deeper common sense (notice the word common , as in our interconnected sense of larger 'me'). -
Forcing yourself not to preach/deliver good messages

No , I think that feeling well and deeply balanced mentaly/emotionally/spiritualy is of utmost importance actually . We have to heal ourselves first and than only can we radiate. If the time is right and the attempt to heal is strong and torough , as a part of cure -- realization that we are not separate and indeed interconnected will replace old disatisfactions. When that is understood than caring about others and enviroment becomes unforced and natural outcome. As Ubuntu says: 'I am becouse you are'. -
Yes it does sound intersting , Ya Mu tell us more about it please! Curious to hear if there is anything you would reccomend/can share to do practise wise within the dream or whilst becoming awake / lucid within the dream or plane of being ?

The key is learning to reckocgnise what is the best thing to do in given situation , doing it without delay as well as learning to love doing it by acknowledging the vital importance in a short and long term. So make a choice and go for it , keeping in mind that everything requires a compromise of some sort. Choose your compromise according to your taste , but understanding that there you give some - you get some. You can do whatever fancy , you can travel for free , sure , but you will have to compromise not always having food or shelter or having to work for exchange. You see you get some- you loose some. Or get carrer sorted, you get some - loose some. There is no best way , you can do as you wish , but be aware of what is in there for you , go into it conciously. As well as learning the art of taking risks -- it is a beutiful game. You could go and walk to Greece or cycle off somwhere, take your tent and skip for food or work for food and lodging on farms. Join a commune as others suggested. However it is not as romantic as it sounds and not for everyone.

Yet ,there has been people witnessing heart beat stopping on many occassions when people are in deep meditation states -- this is according to some happening during Nirvakalpa Samadhi . In that state a person must be brought back to physical realm, becouse according to Yogic scriptures a person will depart /die after 21 days in that state, unless there is some duty to fulfill . Many claim to have acheived Nirvakalpa Samadhi stage, but I think it is not so common. Have never heard of someone actually going about doing their stuff without heartbeat. Siiting/lying down yes as this is meant to be deep nondual state. Yes GP in most cases heartbeat slows right down , but does not dissapear.
-
I would have to witness to believe that Chunyi Lis heart stopped for 1 and half hours and he was active. However I have learnt by now never to say never at the same time. Dont know much about him ,but so far he seems as if he shares a lot of good stuff with people and I liked some videos of his. The hard bit is to be able to contain the power , becouse to do so all the leaks must be repaired , so much underlying fear must be made homless. Fear links to fear in all diferrent shapes and forms , sometimes very decieving. I suppose if a person is a healer on regular basis s/he must be replenshing themself regulary plus also nature has her ways. I dont know Master Nan -- just heard his name before once or twice.

Grandmaster thanks for share, but I really wouldnt put Biodanza under the same umbrella as Bushman Healing Ceremony. Personally I am quite put of by it or by 5 Rhytams kind of thing where a lot of people just go to dance and meet loads of partners sex with or find a way to relax and and grope and rub onto each other etc.. Not my preferance or scene at all but can understand if it floats someones boat.
-
chris d , the link you have shared, an account of someones expirience with San Bushman healing ceremony is super interesting read. Thanks. This book is on my list Boiling energy -- Michael Katz http://books.google....bushmen&f=false another cool link for Bushman Healing Ceremony sinan, spontanious movment/dance rocks. It is something we just know how to do naturally, letting our body taking the lead -- charge and it can indeed be very blissfull . You are brave if you were out in the park for 4 hours or maybe you have some isolated spot ...

cat I like that book , got it at home. I remeber the bit when he spent his first night outdoors in the woods alone.

Having travelled around a bit and lived in differents communities , I have met a lot of women doing spiritual practises daily -- long term and know of only one other woman personally (in real life) except me to hang out on the internet spiritual forum. This of course does not mean any general statistics , just my expirience. Also I wonder out of all of us bums how many actually practise daily and how many just talk about practises and philosophies without employing them in daily life. Have met women that have been/are living by themselves in the middle of nowhere hermit like and meditating , women who teach spiritual stuff in various traditions and also who lead regular family/work life as well as practise . Most women would find boring to hang out on forum like this, not becouse they are not spiritual , but becouse it would bore them. Anyaway being naked in the woods is so good .
