Maybe try and meditate and find out how the mind works for yourself. Where do the thoughts come from - how do they form? Who is this you and what are these thoughts , are they seperate? Is mind really yours? Just sit through whatever is occuring, even through making sure that you are not getting lost in thoughts, or have thinking about work, or gardening or anything, you just think about it as much as you want ,youll get bored of it anyway, but keep on sitting and sitting still, dont move . Might take a while. Dont mind just sit through that as well. You will see that thoughts will dissapear by themselves.Than you will be able to understand more the inner dynamics, understanding will come by itself. In general this stuff can be very tricky , there are so many people who are shamans or cultivators meditating day and night for decades thinking they are chanelling and sometimes getting confused not being able to tell what is what.

Yes true , this is why I said in one of the posts that our own ideals are or can easily become predators of our psyche.

As a woman and having a lot of spiritual female friends I will say that : Women feel connection with life through doing normal daily things like having family or being creative,working etc. with the heart - attidude of love and letting life be. Women dont want to escape samsara becouse escaping samsara is boring ,dry game and souless tune - life is manifesting and taking different shape constantly that is all. That is OK - no need to escape. Where to escape anyway? She does not feel she needs to sit on top of the mountain in isolation and meditating (although I and some other women do love doing it) and achieve . You see all these notions that one needs to undertake some rigorous cultivations and have understanding of obscure religious texts and meditate 20 hours a day is not necessary a parameter for depth of being. Nor is spirituality an achivment or a destination . More feminine way would be to relax soooooooooo much and just let be. Whereas more masculine would be to do stuff. Each are as good depending on ones own natural tendencies regrdless of gender.

It is certanly best to eat local ,seasonal food. If eating banana ripe bananas are best otherwise many people tend to suffer from some problems.

Nice zerostao! I am reminded of a few months stay in a Himalayan forest where a lot of people throughout centuries went and did cultivation in natural caves and was told that the whole of the forest is actualally practicioners who choose to come and incarnate as trees.

Stosh, Wherether males or females are more prone to spiritual life is more individual based and the general statistics probably change as the time goes on becouse nothing is ever the same. I wont be going through the whole thread just now , but am familiar with the general flavour of such threads and think its good to discuss , learn and balance even if fire burns too much at times. This kind of ideas we (general we) are displying is a big pshycic wound of humanity and needs to be investigated ,desinfected , cared properly for and allowed to heal on. It can be done so on individual level which in turns influences the whole. At own pace - not acting from a point of pain, comparison and disatisfaction. Just to add - I for one will say that man are of course able to be very spiritiual, beutiful , loving , most handsome creation on earth...and no dont get rid of men, we will kiss and hug them a lot instead. As a woman I definetly wouldnt profess women being cleaner by birth. Never crossed my mind actually. Whats that about actually?

I think that we are discussing here and learning and at different points of understanding as far as the therad is concerned (havent read the whole therad though ). What did you mean by drawing a sharp line? Let me explain, what I meant is everyone has a unique way of existing , no two flowers are the same. Thanks God for that! What a beuty.

LOL being a hard core vegan myself ... You work things , dance with whatever occurs. I would love to see my man satisfied and full , energized after having hunted and prepared that deeer, but brush your teeth darling! It is him , he is meant to be hunting and eating deer, not me - I can only love and admire the way universe manifests through him and at the same time be me - someone who does not want to eat animals. Its like this with everything, sometimes our ideals are our own predators.

I think that the thing is that women have been domesticated and tamed for so long in many places around the world that we havent heard so much about female spirituality traditionally-except in recent times. The way may be different sometimes , but wisdom and depth of being is the same regardless of gender.

Yogis sit on tiger or deer skin or seat made of kusha grass depending on what qualities they want to cultivate due to subtle vibrations present in the sit. For example sitting on polyester blanket or plastic seat is contra conducive for energy cultivation practices. Anyway, I think that long ago if the yogis didnt want to get their ass wet they had to sit on something, and there wasnt many other alternatives present but animal skin.

Whomever is interested to read more about Hakuins life and practises 'Wild Ivy' by Hakuin - reccomended. He was very ill with what he called 'zen sickness' , some people on this board could probably be able to identify to a degree with it. I still use this meditation of his throughout the day, its something that stayed with me - that is how I learned to to sink.

Nirvana definetly stirred up something people and that was very much needed at that time. I think that anger is a power that if directed wisley can help fix the problem most expertly. Infact that boiling point needs to be reached , invoked and inspired , introduced in others on large scale at times, becouse obviously intelligence and intuition does not always work without the middleman. Anger is a warning that something is not quite right , that something is out of balance and needs attention. It is a great motivator and can provoke deep questioning - opening the door to understanding , or it could open the door to destruction. It is also worth mentioning that what may seem destructive sometimes it may might prove to be unavoidable way to pave the road for well being on larger scale. Anger needs to be heard , not uncousciously reacted upon .

Not necessary true. What if dragon took huge amount of ayahusca beforehand and vomits all of the contents of his stomach out ,so that nothing is left to come out of his ass?

Finished reading Sarangels book. Yes it is very good. Just recieved 'Master of Lucid Dreaming ' by Olga Kharitidi and am looking forward to going to the park later on and start reading it.
