  1. Month-long meditation retreat

Oh and always keep my daily sadhana/practise going - this is has been incredible tool.
  2. Month-long meditation retreat

Firstly - by identifying issues that distort well being. Looking where they come from, how do I relate to them, at what point do they form , how do I breathe in those situations, what physical shape do the take , what mental shape do take on.. Catch them before they fully form and discard - learning to choose and not to live in state of fear which is habitual state for most of humanity. As mentioned in some post on bums - my main meditation become where most of issues got triggered and this is - my workplace. So I watched and watched my , observed year in year and after a while understanding came. This is all coupeled with a lot of sadhana ,keeping phisically active , observing diet, making sure to have some quality time by myself, getting outdoors .. Practising being flexible to the extreme , as well as daring and loving. Patience is something I took up as practise throughout a day too. After this my general human 'neurosis' have almost dissolved , and my retreat expiriences are becoming more and more grounded in daily life. It was very important to take the step of conciously understanding the importance of constantly striving to keep awarness therad going no matter what - at all times.
  3. What are you listening to?

    Sinfest, nice Gorillaz song.
  4. Month-long meditation retreat

anamatva, one month meditation reterat sounds amazing! Keep us posted when back. Yes I have done some longer retreats, usually solo and had amazing insights and states of being sometimes there was loads of stuff coming up, sometimes not. One time - Ill never forget it was for few months in a most inspiring location ,but it felt like a desert - I think that was my start of crossing the 'inner desert' (the term is my invention) and at times I would get so thirsty for at least something that even having some troubelsome expirience seemed more worth living for. It was always a big effort for me to integrate retreat expirience to daily life and to ground it , make it a fabric of daily living. The insights can be incredibly inspiring , infact the real treasure. Have you ever done a retreat without reading and going for walk , sitting on the tree or something instead ? It works for me, in that way listening develops so much more. As well as observing some silence. All the best , have a great retreat.

  6. Hello from Germany

    Hello Uncle D,and welcome!
  7. Agreed, I was going to say this too - when that dealer came to you you should have been insightfull enough to recgonize that he enjoys pestering people and gets his pleasure from it. Do you want to give him pleasure and feed him? Choose your battles wisely, otherwise you get scarred to often and weaken spirit. One teacher told us about incident - that when he was younger he had a fight with a guy on the street in a self defense, but becouse of his martial skills and anger that came over him he had almost killed a guy. That day he lost big time and as he should not have let his cultivated force damage the guy so badly and still feels some loss (after long time passed away ). Nature has its ways. http://idealpictures.co.uk/product-images/keep-calm-and-carry-on-21-500.jpg
  8. Yoked to Earth: A Treatise on Corpse-Demons and Bigu

Just to add feedback that eating this way (predominantley frutis)worked really well for(awesome in many ways),infact I too am getting back to it now for another longer period . The only thing that really bothers me is social aspect of having dinner, meeting new people, at work etc..it gets tiering and imbaressing after a while to stand out .
  9. Yoked to Earth: A Treatise on Corpse-Demons and Bigu

This is important point. I hurt my stomach having started eating normal food too fast and not gradually after beeing on vegetables and fruits , some seeds and nuts only for a while. Smallish may also mean literally few spoons in the begging to reintroduce yourself to the normal food slowly.
  10. animals and spirituality

Hello , In 'Riding windhorses'written by Sarangel - it is mentiones animals ability to become immortal. Here is the excpert from the book : ... 'Some animals are said to be able to extend their lives by special breathing techniques. It is said that if animal stays out only at night and breathes in a special way , while gazing at the moon it can become practically immortal. After doing this for thousand years it will turn completley black and be able to appear in human form at will. If animal continues to do this for ten thousand years it will turn white and become very wise. The animals capable of this feat are fox, sable, spider, pheasant , and porcupine.' ... Sarangel further mentiones shamans taking on animal bodies at times for spirit travel and doing the work that needs to be done, as well as learning from animal spirits. This is not an uncommon find in many writings on shamanism. However I have never stumbeled across anything like the above excpert from the book and would be interested if anyone knows of any other traditions or folklore speaking of similar or similar -ish ? Anything animal/spirituality welcome. Also feel free to comment on above . PS. the only thing I remeber being said about animal spirituality from yogi perspective is the fact that the animals spine is not vertical as in humans and due to gravity kinetic force is not developed. This as well as above excpert is an interesting perspective but I personally do not believe or disbelieve in it. So this is just an open topic for sharing. (Sorry, my writing is as always -- crap.)

Niice tune. I like. About bongos -- they are in your mind , its all an illusion. Bongo illusion - life is like a bongo illusion full of rhytam out of nowhere. OK moving swiftly on to todays fave tune --
  14. What are you listening to?

    king of the bongo
  15. What are you listening to?

    oh yeah!
  16. How do you know ? How many rabbits have you spoken to? Melanie, why feel guilty? Dont do it for too long - it is boring ,waste of time and feels uncomfortable. So many people without food would be grateful for that fishcake, so you are lucky to have it and eat it. Whatever our food choice or circumstances - gratefullnes to the nature and acknowledging respectfully the way food found its way to the plate rules.
  17. Year of the Water Dragon

Oh cool thread I am going to check out four pillars stuff on Bazi calculator (never even knew about four pillars and existance of Bazi calculator before ). edit to add: this year is really good for me so far

    Little Dragon
  20. Opinions on nessesity of Masters

I find it more fun and get to understand stuff much faster if I am learning from someone. However having a human teacher is not 'a must'unless you think it is. There is no universal formulas that work for all.

  22. Using Ibogaine or LSD to terminate kundalini ?

Well I have tried LSD quite a few times ,last time about almost 20 years ago.(dont do or advocate drugs by the way). It brings all the subconicouss stuff up and if a person hasnt brought light to subconciesness than this has potential to overwhealm, especially if you do not feel steady and happy with current situation. Basically its a full on hallucination. Some people go a bit or very mental after taking it. Never tried iboga, heard that it works well for some with drug addiction and depression. You want to fix something fast , when the only way to fix it is patience and flexibility. It is like me trying to change the wheel on my bike by using a hammer. I understand what you say about doing stuff at home and popping pill in your mouth ,but would advise as previous to contact an energy worker /healer in person even if you have to travel far. Maybe take advice from people here as to which ones are most helpful. edit:Just to share that someone close to me started to use drugs after K awakened and literally years of living clean and doing sadhana. Was found on the street and ended up in the mental hospital diagnosed with psychosis and couldnt remeber anyones adress or email for 6 months! It took 4 years to get back to normal(ish). It wasnt even psychodelics.
  23. Using Ibogaine or LSD to terminate kundalini ?

Using LSD or Ibogine will not terminate kundalini. Have you actualy met anyone in personwho has been doing energetics and healing for long time with loads of insight and expirience? This could help a lot.
  24. Mopai or Nopai

Yeah concept of cutting is really interesting to me too. I was asking about that in the thread with questions to the author of the book , but didnt get it completely. So if anyone knows what is this about -- please do chime in . Still curious..
  25. waking up and falling asleep

Or maybe the door itself is the gift that needs to be open.. Yes ,I can see how the video may seem what some expirience through psychodelics. Psychodelics do introduce a taste of different dimension than just dry logic. Dreamwork and dreamworld is like that too in some way - a fertile darkness where all the seeds are planted. In the words of Some Person(?): 'Dreams is the language our soul speaks to us.'
