  1. Fire Yogi

IMO the way to change the world is to change ourselves and switch on. That is the best way and it will affect everyone who comes in contact with us. Purley becouse whatever we emit affects our enviroment in many ways. Acting locally like this has a global effect . I have seen this documentary before and it is interesting to watch.
  2. Layayoga by Goswami

That indeed was beutiful. So nice to read all this.
  3. Me too , I like to think of myself more like a plant. Cool stuff K. @Sinfest If there were absolutley no beliefs than there would be no Sinfest watching the soul either. That is my belief.
  4. Esoteric Lakshmi Mantra

Here is what I think that I understand about this, it doesnt exactly answer your question , but it is a start. Lakshmi is a Godess of plenty and wealth , results will be according to what you have your intention set upon bearing in mind that her main features/'personality'. Often mantras to Lakshmi would be recited for acquiering of wealth, buisness venture.. I would like to add that for mantra to be succefull it needs to be learned to be pronunced very accuratley. Prefably from someone who has awakened this mantra already in their person and know how to install the mantra into individual and give life to it. If one is to reap most benefits from mantras and already invest a lot of time it is best to lern exact ritual prescribed for the diety. Unless there is overflowing devotion and inner desire to communicate with the diety, which of course breaks all the rules. Ganesha is remover of the obstacles and is usually a first one to say prayers to before other prayers take place. I dont know about their specific vows.
  5. Working Through the Pain

This longing is our own way . Our own way of being. It takes us Home. It is a gift , a diamond wrapped up in thick layer of feces. Following it with understanding could has a potential to abide in a peaceful way of being. Suicidial longing needs to be explored. What is it that wants to die? Could it be a sense of unsatisfaction that wants to die? On my path I dived right into longing and longed hard without any reservations. Following that call that showes invisable map of my being and dissolves the pain. Here is a Rumi poem that resonates with me: Longing Longing is the core of the Mystery. Longing itself brings the cure. The only rule is , Suffer the pain. Your desire must be disciplined and what you want to happen it time ,sacrificed.
  6. I have read that post you gave the link to and didnt notice anything of you saying about beliefs. What I believe in ,differs to what you and everyone else believes, everyone is a special combination of beliefs . Beliefs can be a product of many things and produce many things. Anyway I liked reading your link , it seems that coming to Canada was difficult for you. Not to go too much off topic I just want to say that I appricate your presence here in our comunity. Keep on horsestancing!
  7. Where is what you wrote? What is individuality for you? If you dont believe than there is no 'you'as an individual Sinfest.
  8. My beliefs make me into a person, they give me a unique personality. I try to disobey them as much as possible, but never diss them. The most beneficial trick seems to be to adopt a larger more universal persona and benefits are superb ,becouse they are in tune and satisfied .
  9. How would you view the universe from day zero?

I think I would feel it as myself.
  10. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

Dont have anything to say (as I dont have so much knowledege on the subject) ,except that I am enjoying reading this thread . Thanks everyone for sharing.
  11. FORGET YOU SON! GTFO

So are you going to do something about it or just forget it?
  12. Navel chakra, kidneys, full lotus

This is just a health warning story for all full lotus enthusiasts.I was able to do full lotus since I first heard of it, probably somewhere around my first yoga classes when I was 10 years old. I meditated as and adult often in full lotus and did not find it strenous, on contrary it was very beneficial in many ways. One time I meditated during personal reterat for a long time ,feeling very blissfull but I was sitting little carless in full lotus not paying proper attention to abdomen just literally for few minutes ,than felt electric schock and loud click. My whole left side of the body collapsed , becouse the bones got disjointed in the lower hip . This caused so much problems/illness in many ways for years, together with my internal organs stopping to function normally. It was a NIGHTMARE , a pure hell, I wanted to die so many times. After that all energy from the cultivation disspeard and went into healing and had to build myself again from scratch. This was an unusual accident - but do be careful everyone, becouse this does happen. Full lotus is also IMO not necessary for ones spiritual development nor is the pointer of how spiritually evolved someone is.
  13. blue sphere shower

I keep on remebering so many detailed scenes from my childhood latley , it keeps on coming up without conciouss effort like some sort of mental/emtional sweat. Or maybe I am just not counsciouss enough. @Steve- oh yuck!
  14. nope

    Oooh YES(!)
  15. blue sphere shower

I havent got any goo incidents to share but a childhood story of stones falling from the sky. It is still puzzling me till this day. We cycled to a small pine forest for a melon and grapes picnic (I stole some extra grapes from my grandad too). As we entered the forested area and were about to sit down this stones started to fall randomly on us from above. First we thought that it is the naughty local boys having another fight with us. We had a habit of throwing pines and seewed at each other. So we shouted and looked. Nobody but us was there. Then we thought squirells. No squirells. So we stopped out of the forest and observed ,no stones falling. Than we thought OK that means we can go and eat, we were getting really hungry by now. The stones started falling again when we were about to settle from above, seemingly from the sky. For 5-10 min. This is pure Mediterenian pine forest . These pines are the type thats not really climbable anyway and a person on those pines is easily detectable. We repeated this process of going out and getting in again. Same. Than I managed to drag my mum eventually over with us and not a single stone felt and she told me that I am making things up again. To this day I cannot explain myself this, maybe its one of those coincidentaly strange timed stone falling out of the sky things.
  16. nope

OK I agree now. Definetly NO(!).
  17. Feels like something is touching my left ear

If you constantly brush your ear this could also cause a sensation of 'being touched' as it has been touched recently . Dont be scared , try to remeber that everything passes away , come and goes even fear. Nothing lasts forever.
  18. nope

    Why not?
  19. Do Ya'll guys drink?

IMO true tolerance on physical level in practicioners takes a lot to develop and it concides with a mental/emotional tolerance too. It is common for people to go through periods of not being able to take some foods or drink or whatever due to individual make up/energetic blocks and depending on what practise they do and how fast intergrating takes place. Food and drink directly influences not only body but our mind too. As it makes up a subtle portion of the mind. One example is teacher I was learning meditation from when younger and already practising deep samadhi, sitting for many hours a day and having many realizations, developed siddhis etc..but still had problems with the intake of certain foods. Basically he could only prepare himself food becouse he knew what he can stomach becouse he was sensitive like this. Only after a certain 'spiritual transformation'years later did he start eat normal , common again and now he can eat (as he did on one occassion for a joke with certain hosts)incredible amount of even trashiest foods.
  20. Chi Nerds

I think it is always best to find out what 'you'(general you) need to do, becouse sometimes this can be so different than what anyone has ever read or heard about or been adviced to do. It has a potential not to fit with any usual routes people take or have taken before. It may not compare to anything. Sometimes excess is exactly what is needed. Sometimes not. Personally I would encourage anyone to take a break from the routine, and than even change the routine upon return or dont return at all or something else. In my opinion going in to nature away from big cities is an absolute must. This is the real medicine and an amazing guide. This connection should never be lost. So many people living in the cities in my obseravtions hardly ever spend any time daily outdoors. It is mad ,this is real sacrilige.
  21. What do isolated/enlightened people dream about?

For me dreams are so interconnected with waking state. Very clearly. It is all a flow of life or something. I say 'or something' becouse for example yesterday while walking home in the evening ,I had this strong feeling accompanied with the thought : Am I alive? No I am alivness. Like a perfect puzzle fitting into the tapestry of life just as it is, no matter what. Fulfilling its nonexisting purpose. I suppose a big portion of a persons dreams would reflect how much person is influenced by their enviroment and if someone is awake while being awake that means influence wouldnt be so strong. Which in turn means dream would either be like a meditation or interdimensional sorting things out as per persons purpose in this life.
  22. Mental Connections

Last time I had this happened acutley was few days ago with the person I am collaborating on an art project with. She sent me an email and literally not even a minute after I finnished writig an email to her with a very exact contet which totally serves as an answer to her mail and have even used a same joking phrase (which is so peculiar and unexpected as she is peculiar person)as she did in her email which I found seconds later. My theory is that mind is all prevading , akin to the space. If the mind is all prevading who does it belong to? If person is open and less gross ,if s/he is in rhytam (nice one Harmonious!)of the life in general more ,as oppose to only stagnating personal mind/body 'container' - than s/he will switched on and draw from the universal. In which case these type of occurances become more of a common thing. The whole affair of thinking and doing becomes more connected with an elegant flow .
  23. About the nature of non existence.

Although you were conversing with Xabir I feel like taking opportunity to answer . Brahman in its explanation doesent get more present than this Brahman = Ekam Advitiyam- The One Without The Second
  24. About the nature of non existence.

Just been reading bits of the this thread and got reminded of Advahoota Gita , as Dattatreya keeps on mentioning homogenous Brahman which is akin to Undivided Light but in different terminology (edit to add:although I am not 100%sure and am in a stage where I am exploring and some new experiental understanding is taking place). The following is worth reading with an open mind as previous posters mention. http://www.holybooks.com/wp-content/uploads/Avadhoota-Gita.pdf There are no Vedas,no words,no gods,no sacrifices. There is certanly no caste , no stage in life, no family , no birth. There is neither path of smoke , nor the path of light. There is only highest truth, the homogenous Brahman. ----- The mind is indeed the form of space. The mind is indeed omnifaced. The mind is the past. The mind is all. In reality there is no mind.
  25. I think it is good to analyze the breath as the breath is directly connected to the mind ,so if you know your breath - you know yourself . If it is closley observed it is noticable that breath changes with the thought - they are interconnested, this is very fertile area to explore, it has a potential to produce many answers. I have enjoyed reading your posts Jetsun, cheers. I remeber reading that Gurdieff conversation years ago.
