I am not sure wherther I am understanding you correctly or not ,but will write few words anyway. How do you imagine human to feel like when you say that you dont feel all human? What is it that you feel makes you not so human or different than other humans? Are there any particular human qualities you admire? Which ones? What would be the best way to develop them? These are just some questions for pondering, I am not expecting you to write me the answers. I feel that getting on with people and living among people undisturbed is an art form in itself. Sometimes it may take a lifetime to master sometimes less ,sometimes longer. It is called a human practise or 'human being listening carefully'(according to me)and it is the best of all practises for human beings.(IMO and in general too ).

It is quite a common expirience for people on spiritual path to feel, just different people have different blockages to work through.

That tigress should go for a days and days of running and hunting in Siberian wilderness till her eyes, nose, skin, ears , belly and soul are so full . But seriously sod the sheep behaviour. This is the real prison. Universe has her own ways, when I ponder it - all I can do is laugh. I mean :hello. We are here ,some humans whose role in whole of the universe may be for example something like a blood cell in comparison to a human body. And then we make up all this importances and ways and musts etc..whats going on in here? Back to comment to what you wrote about abondament . Yes this is true spontaniety is very important. We need to start from fundamntal part and that is education .From education at home and in school. The whole of the thought patterns and relating to life needs to be reformedfor it to work. Learning to take responsibilty instead of being constantly babied as a individuals and a society. For example I had a thought recently how I may have benefitted tremendously if someone thought me in my early youth not to relate to life personally. If someone just pointed it out to me x amount of times instead of awarding me for good deeds and telling me to be happy when sad etc. Being raised by bohemian family in totally mad enviroment and living later on with the slightly anarchist mindset in the subcultures where abondament is daily expirience (this holds a potential often metamorphosise in carelesness and irresponsibilty)sponteniety and celebrations and being wild is what I grew up with and was surronded with. So to me I dont really see lack of celebrations and opportunities to go wild, except lack of quality and depth.

Answering OP. Life is not what most of the people think it is. Not that I know it either. When entering spiritual path - it is starting to knowing ourselves and we have the whole universe within. Not only ideas and habits that we are aware of, not only the processes that we have been thought so far, not only something lovley and common. It can be a wild ride , a passionate dance, most encapturing exploration of the unknown or the tenderest embrace or something else all together. Getting shaken, turned upside down, inside out. What works for me is to listen and hear what is situation trying to convey. Personally I find it to be most confident with knowing and understanding that directly comes from me . Take care.

Hello Steve, Intersting, never heard of him. Will look him up in the video section too. Just googeld him and found something written by him that I liked: 'Plato said in The Symposium that one of the greatest privileges of a human life is to become midwife to the birth of the soul in another. When your soul awakens, you begin to truly inherit your life. You leave the kingdom of fake surfaces, repetitive talk and weary roles and slip deeper into the true adventure of who you are and who you are called to become. The greatest friend of the soul is the unknown. Yet we are afraid of the unknown because it lies outside our vision and our control. We avoid it or quell it by filtering it through our protective barriers of domestication and control. The normal way never leads home. Once you start to awaken, no one can ever claim you again for the old patterns. Now you realise how precious your time here is. You are no longer willing to squander your essence on undertakings that do not nourish your true self; your patience grows thin with tired talk and dead language. You see through the rosters of expectation which promise you safety and the confirmation of your outer identity. Now you are impatient for growth, willing to put yourself in the way of change. You want your work to become an expression of your gift. You want your relationship to voyage beyond the pallid frontiers to where the danger of transformation dwells. You want your God to be wild and to call you to where your destiny awaits.'

Hello Twinner , Thanks for clarifying, know what you mean . The post was about personal understanding of 'being like a child'. So here I go again ... Even though term being like a child is widely accepted and commonly understood in a certain way, the words in general deliver a need for being parented and looked after together with the innocence bit. It goes hand in hand, these are our common human associations and prdominantley people are not aware enough to discriminate. Now I am not saying that these are your personal implications at all and am not being asumptous in any sort of way . Just pointing to the origins of the saying and why and how it has become so widley accepted(IMO only ). Becouse terms like this and similar and relating to them consciously and uncosciosly ,accepting them as a norm the world is in the state it is. We are being constantly nannied. Nannied and sedated and allowing it to happen too. This terms and sayings are backbone of our society , it is the building bricks of communal life as we know it. Unfortunatley those bricks are a bit too crumbly and they smell too. Stinky kakapoo bricks.

Nice replies everyone, interesting to read. The whole thing is about relating to the situation and learning to act as oppose to react , choosing the atmosphere and life I want to create. Easier said than done , but that is life. I dont dislike anymore so much things about myself , however I admit it would be easier and nicer if I was less proud and stubborn.

Youve got two same threads going . I posted this in the other: I find that what has happened has happened , no need to go over it again and again. What is important is that the pain from the past does not gain power to act in the present and is not perpetuted or metamorphosised , but healed. Healing pain wherther emotional, mental, physical or spiritual is not needles ,it is very real and of utmost importance for the individual and the enviroment. Recgonosing our actions and acting from the place of understanding and not from the place of pain. Mental/emotional soberity of each person is the way to change the world into a better place at its roots, litle by little.

Lucid dreaming, Astral projection and OBE
suninmyeyes replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
The Christina Donell book looks interesting too. Yeah I specifically remeber one dream where I got out of my body in the room where I slept and looking at my body. And than trying to walk through the wall becouse I realised that I am in astral, but my conditioning that time about not being able to walk through the wall was stronger and I never suceeded. I have lucid dreams quite often , maybe not always 100% lucid. They often progress into some places and people/beings I have never met in waking life. There are some places I go and visit in the dreams often, like a favourute nature spot. Also what I discovered latley is when realising that :this is a dream , just to realise it so deepley ,looking with the strong intention to understand, so it literally 'wipes off' and what is left is clear state of mind , a background/playground for the manifestation. And meditation starts. Everything is so interconnected and dreams influnce waking too. What some lucid dreamers are working with is using dreams to create a more fullfing life. For example learning new skills or materilising ones goals in a dream can have effect to a waking life. Youve mentioned a precognative dream and it being freaky. This is true. Here is my expirience. One time when I did loads of spiritual practises for extended period I started to get into this hightened awarness state , but definetley not mentally ready for it. Than I had a dream , well it was like a vision of some sort. First there was a cry for help that I heard while still aware of my rooms surrounding with the eyes closed in bed, that cry led me to this place a buliding . It started to get so very eery, one could feel the deeply disturbing , dark astral atmosphere. The boys voice is crying and there was this two people. I think they killed the boy in the dream/vison.This was so scary and feeling real, that I minimised my meditations for years after. I am not saying my conclusion is true and real but even the potential is too scary. Anyway few years ago when I moved into area , first day when I cycled to work I saw that building form a dream! Cold sweat , I could not belive it. So creepy. Thanks for sharing , it is always interesting to read about others expirience. I have already read about you pulling a spirit out of ladys head before few times . Whats that all about? Like an exsorcisam? Or? -
Innocence rules, it is most comfortable way of being. But being like a child ,I dont know, I quite like to be able to take care of myself and enoy being an adult. That feels so good not to have the need for protection. Cat said: 'You may also assume that anything divine cannot have a shadow aspect, but that's not realistic. ' This is a very important point IMO as this is where a lot of seekers get so lost and disorinteated.

Nice. It is all sorted already.

Just curious...Can building shapes/materials affect consciousness/brainwaves
suninmyeyes replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
I am not too convinced about authenticity of pyramids in Bosnia , however it is possible that people find it easy to meditate there becouse it is beutiful natural setting plus a mix with a dose of some sort of self hypnosis . Just my opinion. Other than that everything has a potential to be of an influnce to our state of being for sure to variying degrees. -
Lucid dreaming, Astral projection and OBE
suninmyeyes replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
Lucid dreaming comes more naturally when a person lives lucidily during the waking hours, which can lead to meditative states during the sleep and astral travel. A friend who is very much so into lucid dreaming reccomeneded me this book as that is her main tool for dreaming practises. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lucid-Dreaming-Gateway-Inner-Self/dp/193049114X Havent read it and dont know much about the author, but it looks good so far .haha That was very sharp description. Anyway here is his video too: -
And Ill buy a full body wet suit and a good pair of googels.

Happy New Year everyone! Tao Meow this is so intersting you posting about black water dragon. Incredible really! Becouse I wanted to post a thread on dreaming or visions of such creatures but dissmesed at the end . This may be my answer that I posted into mental web. Becouse a night before Christmas I had a lucid dream at the lake directing the dream , so this woman (who is an aspect of me)gets into water reluctantly becouse it is cold , but ends up enjoying a swim , when this big black snake/loch ness/dragony like creature appears under water. I am thinking: oh no, this is wierd creature ,who is this? - it is going to be a hard core battle ,prepare. So I am preparing scenario for a battle in my dream (gathering my force)but for some reason a woman gets life on her own (I am not influncing the dream anymore)and dives under the water and greets the creature and rides under the water playfully and joyfully as if seeing an old friend. Creature had a glowing light on top of the head and amazing presence. I was perplexed at the outcome. For me this answers so many things on different levels. Just had to share this.

Meditation is not a good way for practising
suninmyeyes replied to Lao Tzu's topic in Daoist Discussion
Meditation happens and cannot be practised (IMO). It is different state of being than normal waking, sleep or dream state most people expirience. Yet it can incorporate all of those states. However just sitting and various different practises - energetic or visualisation are called meditation also becouse they may lead to meditational state, change of personal frequency to more universal. As well as unfortunate lack of shades of common vocabulary for such terms. -
lovley ..

What about numerous reports of people doing yoga and claiming health benefits all around the world? Most of that yoga - almost all is actually not yoga at all. The thing is a lot of yogic techniques are so watered down or fused with some other techniques and made available to public ,which is the reason we know about them . Otherwise I might have never heard of it and might have not been on yogic path myself. Link with Christian yoga you have posted previousley did almost give me headache , but I stand behind my opinion that there is a possibility that something good may come out of it too. Maybe some little seed of something fruitfull may have been planted somwhere. What also comes to my mind right now is some Christian thinkers( father Bede Griffits for example)that a friend introduced me to influenced by Ramana Maharishi which had suprisingly good results(IMO). As you have probably gathered already I disagree with your analogy. sun

My opinion is that what is considered perv attacks and sucking up energy is just:life. No need to be scared . Take up these kind of situations as a perfect opportunity to be clear and connected , very sharp about thoughts, actions , feelings. Working, working, working through everything , every little piece of life, making it full of this connectednes constantly. This is real home. Dont stop. At work , in toilet , sleeping, eating ,resting, making love.. Being so full of interconnectedness , there will not be any space for anything else. If forgetfullnes occurs, nevermind , start again. I always think :'Sun ,just mind your own buisness'. If something I dislike becomes my buisness, that is fine too . Keeping in mind most harmonious solution. Otherwise I will be comparing, associating and my mind will be all over the place. Getting connected with Universal ,instead of protecting personal energy/self works for me so far much better. By this I mean just dealing with whatever happens step by step, handeling it so carfeully as if walking on the rope. I would say that an 'alive /vibrant' form of tolerance and patience are so incredible important. They dont sound like some cool stuff to cultivate , maybe even boring. However they do make life easier and more transparent.

Meditation is not a good way for practising
suninmyeyes replied to Lao Tzu's topic in Daoist Discussion
Actually they may have been right, becouse when a state of meditation occurs pursuing of anything is impossible. -
Dont know this stuff really, but if I listen attentivly I hear a constant sound that speaks a language that is not transalatable into words. Maybe begining and causing is just a human invention that works in certain framework and context only.

What about missionaries going around the world trying to convert people in some more remote regions into Christianity by using various sneaky tactics of free schooling or medical help , clean water and similar? Sometimes more overall global perpective is apropriate to adopt to see the full effect clearly. In this case to see the desire Christians have to dominate. So it is good to keep that in mind and recgonise it for what it is. I would agree with you on daily living and peaceful coexistance . On individual level people are people whatever the religion or cultural difference. However , Jesus must have been amazing person if he existed and there are also some very deep Christian stories of Fathers of the desert that I found inspirational. I liked a book 'Dont sleep there are snakes' about Christian missionary going to Amazonian forest to convert the tribe over there and ends up being converted by them in a way.
