  1. siddhis do you believe in them?

I think everything we think of is possible(as physical manifestation is concieved in the mind),becouse every thought is like a seed .It only depends if the seed will be watered or left to dry out. It all about reppaterning and rewiring and reprogramming belief system.Reinventing your being,or like adding a new program. Is it possible for everyone ?I would say yes ,but no. Everything has its place. But siddhis is not my personal preferance.I just want to relax these days.Take Take things easy and enjoy whatever I am doing.
  2. I think I just experienced enlightenment

K active dog would have to have a bob haircut, other than that I dont know. Interestingly,Lahiri Mahasay(Indian yogi from Kriya yoga lineage)was working on something similar to what you mention. It had to do being able to help animals to raise their councisness/speed up evolution in yogic way(probably through energy transmissions). However project remined unfinished,he said one of the difficulties is becouse their spine being horizontal.

I think that "supernatural"abilities are actually natural,it is just being able to use of human potential more. And I am sure there are fellow bums in here who are psychics to a different degrees. Actually people are naturally very intuitive, but dont trust it and/or understand it due to socio/cultular conditioning.
  4. self defence skills through tai chi

That was well done Tao Meow.Your tai chi skills rule! What a terrible situation, one of those very rare ,very thight almost impossible to handle ones. I notice tai chi in my day to day life to be very beneficial, and it has been helpful for healing purposes too.Although I have over 10 years of exprience of yoga practise ,taichi tought me a lot about body mind mechanics in different way. And it is very grounding too. It e ages to write this,my computer is not really working well this days.

Hello Journey, There is no hate here, only a lot of naughty children. And we are all in learning process or something. It is a fun therad. Dont care what others think ,you keep to yourself and keep doing what you think it is the best.
  6. self defence skills through tai chi

Hi everyone, Thanks for your respones. For your info I have been training with a teacher in Chen style and am satisfied as I feel I am learning a lot with him and there are push hands classes availible.I have started with qigong and tai chi for health reasons initially due to an accident few years ago.And now is the time to move on and explore different dimension of tai chi and might as well make use of it well and also I find it good to do things I am not familiar with doing as it brings a lot of new understanding .So was wondering if anyone gained self defence skills from tai chi as I often see people practising for different reasons.. My fighting skills have never really been explored ,although I do remeber stuffing my jam sandwich into my classmates face in primary school. fivelemntao-I liked that video a lot .It is very clear ,I ll be watching it again as I am still exploring and learning dynamics of martial arts ,as they are quite new for me still. ben-Thanks for the input on neutralization ,it was intersting to read as I hardly even read anything about taichi so far, just did the training.I checked website you reccomend and hope you do well in unlearning. stigweard-love what you said about tai chi being -expirential understanding of its principals and being able to handle spontaniously and appropriatley in any situation-.This is what I am getting too.I will watch video again too. Mal-Thanks for mentioning the Granny, she gives me hope(ok I am not a Granny yet,but if she can do it I can too;)).And yeah my aim is to attend push hands classes and see what developes. San Ti-Thanks for good luck, have you developed fighting skills through tai chi?Has anyone? Gerard-I am actually thinking to attend one of his workshops in Europe next year.Thanks. zerostar-pushing hands with as many people as possible is a good advice.I have seen that female martial artists sparring video before. She looks tough. It was interesting to read about her approach and no chi policy. Prince-I liked the video nice approach. And anyone who has gained fighting skills through tai chi solely or mainly ,I would like to hear from you too..
  7. I think I just experienced enlightenment

This whole thread is hillarious too,I have just done some reading from where I ve left it last.
  8. self defence skills through tai chi

Thanks Prince.I am in Europe..It would be interesting for me to explore and learn through martial applications,as I have none and I am on taller side but not big at all. In another words I would have to learn how to use inner power for any type of self defense.Which is a great challenge in many ways. Ill explore the website you reccomended.
  9. I think I just experienced enlightenment

You are hillarious!I am having belly laughs.
  10. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Saying all that exists is freedom is in a way contradiction of terms .Becouse there is someone/something that is still expiriencing this freedom. What Tao Meow says is more accurate it is an feeling . Back to Freenes. If freedom is freed it becomes state of being and is not free or free, but it only is.
  11. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Yeah Freenes The Ultimate Celestial Biscuit for The Third Eye Expansion ! "Freedom is just a word. It is a concept. It is illusory. .."How comes you are free than?
  12. I think I just experienced enlightenment

I have just made it up as becouse I feel freedom needs freeing sometimes. Freedom is a concept of freenes.I just made the word up too.
  13. Cultural social differences.

This may all be becouse a lot of western cultures are not as patriachal as some meditereanian, middle eastern ,eastern and etc cultures. And thanks God for that! What a breath of fresh air when I started travelling in my late teens. I couldnt believe how cool and more open minded are general outlooks of people in Netherlands or UK or Denmark..For example how fresh and respectful UK guys attitudes toward women in general are in comparison. These guys rock in my opinion. But yes,it is very intersting to note the cultular differences and yes there are so many.As well as learning a formal language you have to learn "informal"language of more subtle expression what to say when ,how to say it,what not to say as you would be misunderstood -in order to convey message accuratly.Becouse different rules apply to different countries.I always think that countries are like different persons in a way.
  14. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Is your freedom free also? In any case as long as you feel well,it is good to hear.
  15. The Enlightened Sage

Hello Mrs Manitou! Have you considered your dream to maybe be a memory? I dont know what is taoist stand on past lives and wherther you personally believe in them. But in my opinion there is a lot of remeberances in dreams(as well as posibillity of OBEs and learning in different dimesions ,as we are multidimensional beings ).This is more prone to happen or be noticed once most of lifes likes and dislikes are dissolved and some spaceoussness is reclaimed. I cant remeber ever dreaming scriptures but have had multidimensional expirience and OBE where I learnt something, gained deeper sort of understanding. Anyway I am growing to like and learning a lot about Taoisam through you guys on here. And like your Sage with three tresures"Never too much","Never be the first" and "Love".It seems very relaxed and non imposing.I like anything relaxing.
  16. The Enlightened Sage

Yeah,I agree that there is a way and it is not exclusive ,but a birthright of all regardless of anything. Regarding logic I see it as one of the ways with which one could leap beyond duality. It is the same with all the "tools" you use them and than come to "halt" where intuitive understanding takes place. But to try and make logic of intuition is usless ,however translating it into language for a sake of disscusion or conversation can be fun and/or useful.
  17. The Enlightened Sage

In bold letters. Exactly what I was trying to say with the original question in reply to Xabir mentioning that "gurus" and "pundits"could never have such insight(here I have understood it to mean any "gurus"or "pundits"as it is written in plural). And I have asked how do you know? When Simple Jack replied he started of with this quote: 'm going to take this straight out of Working Toward Enlightenment by Nan Huai Chin: "The Source Mirror tells us what enlightenment means. In the book, ten questions are raised. There are no enlightened people who have not mastered the scriptural teachings. They know all the principles of the Buddhist scriptures at one glance.." This is belief not knowledge.Beleving in someones belief or knowledge and didnt answer my question of how do you know? It has no relevance to my question which was about "you"(here I mean any you)actually knowing and quoting just wont do it good enough, although there was some nice quotes I must admit. Just trying to make myself understood here, and say :what about some more "maybeies" and leaving the door in the mind open a bit ?But yeah I havent a problem with what youre saying, logic is good and works for certain type of people ,but it is not the only way. Dont know much about these guys mentioned in original post so cant comment.
  18. The Enlightened Sage

I would say different finger points to the same moon. I roughly agree with you . My above point was specifiacly about probability of not only Buddhist gaining finest insight (but also gurus, pundits and auntie Doris and anyone else).Which is not really possible according to what Jack quoted you got to know the Buddhist texts ,and logic only would not qualify..
  19. The Enlightened Sage

My point is how do you know? Judging by the reply this is your belief in someone elses knowledge or belief .It is not your direct knowledge. It is different to take these kind of texts as inspiration , stimulation. And different to develop a belief and/or dogma upon them. What I am saying really is -you gotta walk your talk. At the same time if "you"feel satisfied only with whats written and like to take others word for it becouse that has a potential to make you feel safe, protected or exclusive or whatever it may make someone feel (I am just guessing here ),that is fine too . But you cant say that "you"know as that would immediatly go against your statement and proclaim you as Buddha. Best, Sun
  20. How can time exist?

    Love the quote Cow Tao!
  21. Merry Christmas.....

    Relaxed ,happy holidays to all!
  22. The Enlightened Sage

This is something I have seen claimed quite a few times. Now how do you know what gurus ,pundits or auntie Doris that lives across the road have seen/had insight of in general?
  23. The double standard of religious acceptance

Hello Strawdog, interesting to read your post from the other side of the world and note cultural differences.I have never been to USA(I have tried to get the visa once but have not suceeded due to being from "scam of the earth" second class country). Cannot relate to your post at all due to growing up in communisam (in atheist household)religion was almost banned. And being most of adult life either on the road or in total fringe of society enviroment where I dont encounter such attitudes. However it does sound annoying. And I think I am starting to understand why so many American Tao Bums have almost a type of allergy and dislike to anything Christian . Best,Sun
  24. Belief and Faith

I was thinking along these lines too.Going to doctor is putting faith in her/him,mostly people dont check their doctors qualifications, and expect to be prescribed right medication.Or taking a ride on a bus, again putting faith that the busdriver will go the route that he is meant to be going.etc.. So faith comes smoothly ,it makes sense naturally. But forced faith ,"artfically"manifactured/imagined faith is not really faith for me. Beliefs keep me together and make me Suninmyeyes .And can be a good reference point so that I can lead daily life . One can change them and weed them out or plant new ones according to their liking.Or put them on hold when deeply relaxing. I am not sure that a person would exist in a physical realm any longer if ALL of the belives were discarded for a prolonged period of time.
  25. The Highest Buddhist Consort Practice

Maybe becouse it sounds like a work out manual? One ,two stick it in and ouuuuuuut,in and ouuuuut.
