Yes ,nice. This approach is like taking a plane instead of walking to from Europe to Mongolia. It is super helpful way of looking at life and doesent live any room for vicitm mentality. Not saying it is easy to accept it though.

If it is complete darkness retreat,as in staying without light for a certain period of time(days,weeks?)-than Mantak Chia does similar sounding retreats in Thailand. Other than that I have only heard of certain hermit buddhist and yoga practices.

Trying to portray something as totally impossible I have said to her (cant remeber the context): "..It would be like trying to move your heart into your tigh." I did find few girls attractive when I was younger and just starting to explore my sexuality ,however this changed in past 11-12 years.I feel straight for now. One parent of mine is openly bisexual.Never had hang ups about this issue. It is interesting what Appech7 wrote about anti-gay sentiment in Buddhist community. I have read about monks rules in Thailand(might be Laos?)and loosing status of a monk if sleeping with the woman ,but if having a sexual intercourse with another man they will not be disrobed.It is like loophole in monastic rules. Ill try find that article. So yeah talking about double standards ..

Just reading all the posts and joining this thread becouse running is good (for now). I dont eat before running.But also dont run when feeling hungry either. Fell in love with runing few years ago out of blue.Body open up easily and sorts it self out .Leaving me feel refreshed,renewed. It is great way to get rid stress after work for example.Get some fresh air and spend time outdoors running. Much better than alcohol or drugs for relaxation or "health". I also keep active and find that when stamina ,flexibility and strenght is build up need for teas,herbs ,vitamins and any supplements(in combination with right food) and any drugs whatsoever vanishes. Which in turn is so liberating. This is from personal expirience only as I dont follow any school of thought or trust what doctors say as a rule etc.. Only trust myself even if it means putting my hand in the fire,becouse I am Sun not everyone else. Dont know about athleats and their work out regime it may be hard for the body long term.Same with some hard core martial artists or dancers.

Hello Kate, I am answering you becouse what you wrote resonates with me.As there is something of similar sort I had been resolving/letting go off/trying to understand recently,past few years. Uh, a hard knot. Had similar thoughts to you,not knowing how far should I go with my responsability and being extremly angry for having to be responsable and having no choice as a child. It is like seeing all todays relationships and general relating to life and seeing where they stem from ,but still not being able to change it. And now I feel responsability all the way is the way to be as dwag says. It is empowering,the concept works for me. Or what about this story Marblehead wrote in another thread about a prisoner sitting in prison cell for ten years ,only to find out that the doors were open .

MH, RE : Security...To clarify ,I feel there is no real security until we are able to embrace uncertanty.Any other security can be helpful ,but is stagnant and a trap. -Imprisoment and slavery may sound nasty ,but are honest expression.As I feel that most of my life has been spend like a that guy you mention in prison. Hi Marbelhead, Fair question. Yes, I hold to the concept of intuition. I follow my intuition almost always. And you know what? When I oppose my intuition and take an alternative action I always screw up. I have learned my lesson - I now always follow my intuition. -Yeah same here. I put these thing in a category different from what I refer to as 'faith'. Faith, IMO, is believing something without a logical reason... -How do faith and intuition compare or differ for you? I have no problem with aspirations based on logical reasoning. That is how improvements and new technology and other advancements are made. -We agree here,but may have different definitions for logic.For example intuition for me is logical. Indeed, a truth is valid only for so long as the conditions do not change. Since everything changes can we really say that there are any truths whatsoever? -My point exactly. Sure, in the short term we can state a truth and because the change of that whatever is so slow it appears that it is a truth. I think that most of us operate according to this principle. Afterall, we need to have some security in our life. For example, knowing that the chair is going to support us when we sit in it. But over time even the chair will no longer be able to serve its intended purpose. But it is good that every now and again a number of people do have truths in common. I think this too is good because it helps with that security concept, knowing that something we believe is believed by others as well. -You know this all got me thinking very deeply right now.And it is exactly security you have mention that is the reason for my imprisonment and slavery. My point about the truth in physical manifestation is that it is wishy- washy .Becouse everything is subject to constant change,so even my bodily composition is different that 2 minutes ago ,my cells have aged and my stomach is full of dates Ive just eaten.So technically I am not even the same person.

Good therad. Interesting to read your accounts on spirit world dawg. I have some expirience too ,one time I got so very scared when i heard-enterd some lower realms .And was panicking not wanting to ever percive anything but physical world. The fear is gone ,but got a different sort of problem as compesation for being scared.haha Here is an interesting story relating to the spirit world.. One aquaintance of mine related a story (this is woman a owner of very succesful buissnes who didnt have a spiritual background and didnt have a clue about anything of similar nature)of how suddenly whenever shed started to relax at home she would see all the faces and beings everywhere where she lives.. This was so bad, day in day out that she thought she was going to die.She was perplexed. So after some months in the evening she dressed in all new nightdress before sleep for days making sure the house is spotless in case something happens to her.So as to prevent any gossip as she has a daughter. Finally one night in her visions came a clear adress (written)situated in her city(she is Japonese).Imeddiatly she took a taxi there at night and found her spiritual teacher living there . He thaught her some things and this alliavated her agony.Now she is on spiritual path for many years.

Well maybe the time now is special methinks. For example,look at technology and science-they are developing at incredible speed. This points that there is a shift in astral world-the world of thoughts- and this is bringing on this speedy change. So something is shuffling on collective level. Many new opportunities and possibilities are present (here i mean just about anything from food shopping to state of art technology..) in bigger concetration than ever before on physical level ,and it would be logical if it is the same on spiritual level too.

On one level there are truths that are "made up" and are "real"and "not changable",we are thought .They are commonly accepted as da law.Be it psychological or physical law. This "thruts" are imposed on us and have shaped us into us .And we belive and obey them :"..becouse this is how it is supposed to be and becouse Mr.Banana said so and scientist have proved it,and.." For most of our lives they are our God.They rule us,we worship them by not wanting to break free .And by being in a comfort zone of: "this is how it is supposed to be ,and you are not supposed to do this becouse it is dangerous ,be scared becouse it is comfortable to stay that way as you are used to it since birth etc..". So true to a degree and common acceptability. "..Is there a point where we can successfully say something is "true"? I say no.You cant say it,but you can be it and feel it as constant fabric of every expirience.

I have noticed that tendency arising in me recent weeks. Ahem,well my martal arts teacher is very nice ,has a lovley accent and a spring in his step.. And about the dead master contacting mewtwo,it could be. Only in a way that anything could be possible.But that is one of those things that youd need to meditate /tune in deeply and find out for yourself .Cutting through any residues of imagination very sharply.
