I've had people try and do this to me. When you associate training with grounding in the physical it is harder for them to do, as you sense it you turn it back to them, their energy is their responsibility. Not the emotional obligations of the people around them. Emphathy is a tool for healing, not for sucking, it is shared, not manipulated. Further more we are our own power generators, you're not california borrowing power from oregons hydro power. Do you have a power usage that outweighs your resources? I look at it like this. Practice everyday. This keeps the weight on the end of the chain so to say. Like a whip chain u keep tension in the line. When they interrupt the line the weight on the end of the rope will wrap back around and hit them, filling their empty little heart with whatever it was they put out there. How can you grasp what you can not grab. People "say" all kinds of things, it doesn't matter what they say. People "do" all kinds of things, but they "do" less than they "say"... people "are" even less than they "say" or "do" and by this they stand alone. All by themselves. Stand Alone.

Thanks Mal. Mucho. Shoot more video! Love it! Looking forward to see what branches off these frontier veins of creative endeavor. I framed elements of wuji and first section for the last 6 months. Slow deliberate practices. For personal correction, etc, but killed two birds w/ one stone so to say. I have been careful what I put on film. Momentum is easily taken out of context. More from me after a considerable amount of continued practice. Dave
  4. Samples of FU

In looking through your website I don't see any video examples of FU. Can you post?
  5. Overcoming.....

Yes! The magnetic power of attraction! The mind and nervous system is a magnet. Think of a pink elephant all day (which isn't even real) and I bet you dream of pink elephants, then pretty soon your at the circus looking at stuffed elements and spending money to win a weird game (afterall your playing for a pink panther) then you worked so hard for it you might as well sleep with it and call it a Pink Martini... but really it's a big dumbo for the is nit kam aic sucker. You have to observe things over a period of time, forwards and backwards.
  6. Have you seen "Amongst White Clouds"?
  7. Overcoming.....

Lost time? Lost yourself? Woke up? Realized? Inspired? Think back to something you have lost yourself in. Find it. Comb ine its medication. its meditation. The spokes connect the wheel to the hub. Apply medicine at the right moment. Observe your peaks & valleys. Train your weakest link. Fall forwards. Twoards Goals One living to dye. We are all groing to die. We are all dying to live. We are all dying to gro.

Sound points. With Falling Leaves. In the Wind. On the Beach. In the Water. Carving Corners. I don't know if this will make sense but I will do my best at a description of what I mean by driving with the brakes on. Mass builds inertia as its velocity increases. To continue through a movement is to carry your previous "effort" with you in a cetripital and cetrifigul fashion. Kinda like sloshing in the bathtub, every time u slosh less movement is needed behind the wave to increase it's ampitude. This is kids stuff, spin with your arms out to the side, pull your arms in... u go faster. spin with your arms in and let your arms fly out... u go slower. I discovered my taijichuan was very sluggish until I felt it on a merry go round at the park, and then the movements that spiraled around the central columb to create these spiraling forces took on a physical meaning through the 3rd curve of the merry go round. Childs play! Look at the coordinated harmony and momentum of combinations in all the arts. A prime example of making 2 or 3 corners in a row. Try doing a grasp sparrow sequences facing inward on the merry go round, then outward, the curve is totally different through the body. I digress but yes agree I snapshots are for learning the names of the postures and the details.

Physical Dialog is just as important for changing mental dialog. You can tell yourself you feel good all day, but without pressing the buttons or starting the metabolic engine your gonna keep feeling like crap until you change one of the three primary sources of chi: food, breath, movement. Break a sweat and sit still everyday will refine the yi. Riding the nervous interaction between absolute movement and absolute stillness is kinda like walking the plank. ie a diving board. When you get to the end and it's time to ... juump.h that naturally light springiness makes perfect sense.

Do your firedrills. You shouldn't stand without venting. White stork "cools" wings. Incorporate cobra into plank (pushup) position. Think about it like clearing the whole front channel not just where you feel "stuck" those are just the starting points of attention, but rotate around them and work to clear the whole thing with one practice. taiji is about one movement. chi gung is about the power source. gung fu is application.
