Gotta love the classics: "Stand like a perfectly balanced scale and move like a turning wheel.... ... Within yin there is yang. Within yang there is yin. Yin and yang mutually aid and change each other. ... Silently treasure knowledge and turn it over in the mind. Gradually you can do as you like. Fundamentally, it is giving up yourself to follow others. Most people mistakenly give up the near to seek the far. It is said, "Missing it by a little will lead many miles astray." The practitioner must carefully study. "

chakras and dan tiens are not synonomous. when you circulate you are refining. It is linked like that. Imagine that you when you start you have a few large rocks in a bag. You crush them up into marbles, now you can fit a few more marbles in your bag. Crush up the marbles into powder and now you can fit twice as much in the same size bag. Now you can make the bag bigger to fit bigger rocks, but if you don't grind down the rocks you'll always think you need a bigger bag. Spectrum

Maybe just crank the stereo? Yoda you should know that isn't true. Slayer and Mozart create acoustical fields of information that are organized completely different from one another, observable in plant growth, and in human growth. Drew- Are you engaged in this dialog or are you cut and pasting? I've found multiple instances of cut and paste conversation by following your links. ?

Xue, Thank you so much for sharing. In going through videos looking for clues this one caught my eye. I posted it on my blog. Something looks so familiar about this. Maybe it's just that he's smooth and connected... LuoHan Demo? : http://sacredcircuits.net/blog/?p=351 I copied some info on the 18 LuoHan to here: http://sacredcircuits.net/blog/?p=350 Comparable to other effects of chi gung practice? May have my question answered right there. Thanks for the kind help! Spectrum What a little treasure chest. Has your teacher told any of the stories related to the names of these movements? For instance: #5 Demon (there is another word for this?) Explores the Sea. # 9 Iron Ox Plows the Field. #18 Precious Jug Hangs on a Gold Book It's a time capsule waiting to be opened! Thanks again, Spectrum

Beautiful. Scary. Lets dissolve the space between subject and object and discuss.

Have you tried doing that before practice to see what happens?

Word up. I've been researching that style> just saw it in person for the first time a few weeks ago. Really sparked my interest, recognized some movements that seem familiar. Shaolin roots? Is it an "internal" Shaolin style? Anyways, eager to continue this dialog and learn more about it.

btt for answer to this one. Thanks again drew. PS - cat ,ref the harmonic structure of bells. (inverted) They resonate their root /fundamental tone from the base outward in harmonic proportion towards the rim. What we are hearing is the dissipation/transition of energy along/through a curve... sounds like Taiji. What we hear/feel as harmonics are points in which the visible structure of the gong/bowl/bell coincide with the invisible structure of the sound generated. Spectrum

Nice drew. Thanks for your personal notes. Very insightful. Very personal. You speak a language I understand. I found the electro-chemical information interesting. I will print this out and save it. Especially your reflections on cycles (one of the first things I was "trained" to learn about chi cultivation". Interesting observations about empathetic connections w/ healing, light phenomenon inside the body, and music being THE model. Can you expound more on this statement you made?

I take it as a compliment to turn away unwanted visitors. <nod>Some good ol' common gung sense.

Take your dreams with you when you travel to the Pass, it's time to face your worst nightmares. This is your destiny. Take up your sword. Recognize the power in/of your intent and words (thoughts). Death & Rebirth is a natural phenomenon. We experience it in small and large. Once you find ground zero it's your job to guard your own hole in the ground. Get in, Get out, or get the hell out of the Way. More in a bit. I'm bouncing.

How does Kunlun do that? In the beginning there was nothing. Stillness is good anytime during practice. Even when you're giggling up a smile. Sometimes you can just pause in the Taiji form, it's so beautiful in composition, that you can just release into one of the 13 postures, find wuji's connection through the 8 energies 5 directions, suspend, sung, sum or one. You know Ravi would agree. Music is movement. Everytime emptiness is brought back into the center of the movement, alignment and relaxation generate internal movements, things you can't see, things you feel. Stillness works SOOO good for centering if you keep feeling a wobble while surfing the breath of the movements. Those wobbles on the horizontal plane, their thoughts between heaven and earth. Warbles to the Top stop nothing in the Way. Wuji. Yin-Yang. TaiJi. PaKua. Nothing Empty Nothing Full Blends The Perfect Move Once you learn anything worthwhile mixing and matching is how you play the game. 10,000 forms of chi gung? Then again we have Bikram copywriting the order of his Yoga poses.... that's like copywriting a specific configuration of irrigation ducting for water to flow. Hmghd. I'm going to copywrite the stillness ....pause.... Anytime I feel stress at work, I pause, breath into wuji, and boing. Perhaps I can hit up Gaia for a booty call on the way home from the patent office. Spectrum

Aloha Cranio Sacral Technique works. There was a Chi Gung traveler from Chicago that did it to me. She was holding points around the butterfly shaped bone in the back of my head as well as points that the fingers naturally position themselves at. (ref:phi) These natural harmonic curves in the spine have an inter-relationship that seems to get kinda funny when we walk upright and interact horizontally. Afterall we're moving around on dry land after floating in the solution of the womb. I had a "Watzsu" massage a few months ago, it's where you're floated in a large pool of water that is 98 degrees, and the massuer floats your with their arms under legs and head and starts slowing spiraling. The forces of the water spiralling, being able to relax into a semi fetal position and sensory immersion/deprevation is a nice combination. If that wasn't enough, then they start ossilating their arms in counter spirals, so your kinda winding and unwinding, weightless, completely "in solution", what occurs as compression fatigue in the spine completely "unwound", unbelievable sensory enhancements and "feeling good, feeling alive, vital" vibe. There seems to be a group of "therapies" that induce the bodies natural healing response by bringing awareness to the various curves of the spine. 'Core' work is actually more then just the abdominals, imagine a squeezable ball all around your cavity. After wuji releases all the various ways in which people "hold themselves" subconsciously, a movement set that methodically contracts and releases all the muscle groups in your bodymind as a whole body mind. Even an undulation once a day will reveal a therapeutric topography which will induct observation within. More in a bit.

Actually that is wuji. Kunlun is subject to wuji, it's not the otherway around. The rest of it is pour form.
