Not suggesting ppl shouldnt have control over their content. Rather that they should be smart about it before hitting 'post', and should keep in mind the point of a text based forum--which is to read content, not blank spaces. And if ppl are free to delete content to satisfy themselves and disrupt the flow of conversations, I'm free to rant about it. But read this while you can, it will expire shortly when I change my mind and turn it into a period. 8)

lol, I have no choice but to let ppl handle their own minds. It's their post non-content that bugs me. I get making a mistake here and there or taking back a post made in haste, but its a real trend now to just delete like everything you post. Which is really contrary to the spirit of a forum. Maybe those that enjoy this might ask themselves why they are bothering to engage a discussion forum at all, when they dont want anyone to see what theyve discussed. Anyway, all I can do is rant about it, so there you go. At the end of the day to each their own. 8)

Indeed, Monk, those comments in post #3 were spot on! And really opened my eyes to some deep truths. But I thought there wasnt a text containing that info? Source? 8)

“ there is only one taiji” Indeed. And consider that Xingyi and Bagua, as part of the trifecta of IMA arise from the same basic foundations. Which means you coukd look at Bagua Zhang as a style of taiji. All three share a common root, so they reflect variations or expressions of a common principle. Sortov like how Contra and Super Mario Bros are expressions of the same gaming principles, realized differently (run-jump-shoot-boss-level). Lots of modern taiji sets are combinations of older styles. 8)

There are dual purpose folk out there nowadays even with bits of both dangling, so no need to be choosey 8)

unless there is a cultivation that creates fusion of two individuals, immortals, like mortals, will always be outside each other. Which means that, like dogson says, there is a path they will each walk alone and the 'couple' thing will dissolve like all other illusions. 8)

Simple Question: Can anyone feel their meridians?
Astral Monk replied to Yasjua's topic in General Discussion
There are the bong han channels that correspond to meridians: http://acupuncturetoday.com/mpacms/at/article.php?id=31918 Qi is such a comprehensive concept it includes a lot of processes and experiences. Some relate to physical mechanisms and some dont, with crossover. Also, if one is in perfect health one shouldnt feel anything to do with meridians--they just do their thing quietly. Meanwhile, does anyone feel their brain? If not, why suppose there is one? 8) -

Conceptual Virtue question, Teaching vs Healing
Astral Monk replied to Kundaolinyi's topic in Daoist Discussion
Consider this--teaching can reach more people, but healing can reach deeper. Also, if one is always teaching one might stall in learning, fail to progress, become dogmatic, or intellectualized. Taking the path of the expert, however, can lead to teaching later on. But the reverse is rarely true--great teachers dont rise to be experts and leaders in the field they teach--too busy teaching! 8) -
