chaos and pandemonium are two very different things, those ancient greeks and their words. I wasn't trying to talk past you Bindi, I was typing as your post appeared.

"The wise man likes what is good for him." I am kinda struggling with the word "order" too. Chaos cannot be avoided all the time; there is always going to be some chaos now and then. And some of the "order" I find myself dealing with seems absurd. And dealing with chaos or the absurd; the right self discipline should get one by. I also wanted to place this from @Nungali here: "Freedom to express your true nature is known as 'The Law' yet its 'mode' of operation is ( we are told ) , love ; " Love is the Law . " Being true to oneself, being authentic, those are also key ingredients to freedom. You can't be fake and claim to be free. Conforming to fit in with 'order" or the norms that are imposed on us, hm. Maybe we are in a purposeless, chaotic universe. Saying that freedom is found in order, perhaps is a way to try and create some meaning and sometimes the universe can be quite cold or indifferent when it comes to searching for meaning. I think acceptance is a word that gets one closer to freedom. Living in the present IMO is another key ingredient. "Man is born free but everywhere is in chains." ---Rousseau I think to be free requires being a bit of a rebel. there is no true living without freedom. Being able to express one's true nature, like Nungali said, is vital. Without being able to do that, there would be no good living in the present. None of us will ever be in full control of events facing us. Being able to accept the chaos when it appears, ability to adapt to change--because, even if one were in a state of pure order---that will change/transform into something different. Having freedom anchored to order, limits freedom.

When it became apparent that she could have just left him in the dust, she stopped and waited for him to catch up. "What is on your mind ?" she asked. "Are you a feline human hybrid or a shapeshifter?" z asks. "Do you always answer a question with a question?' she continued. "Am I the only one doing this ?" z retorted. She exclaimed, "You actually retorted?!" They both were overcome with spontaneous laughter. or it could've been the altitude. "Let's go a bit further." she said as she motioned for him to get up and try and keep pace. they came upon a nomadic stayover. others approached the camp. One them asked the hybrid guide, "Who is this, another Sherpa looking for his higher self ?" The mysterious guide answered, "It is z from TDB" The trio laughed in unison, "This is z?" and there were whispers among them, barely audible, "doesn't look like anything special" then from the lake emerged and she instructed z to take this baby name "glad" with him, when he would return to TDB. "Before he can return, he must stop off at the Stronghold for council with the cats." said the mysterious hybrid guide. "Very well, first he must have a sit down with the shaman." said the lady of the lake. and she handed Glad to z. The lady of the lake turned and walked into the depths of the lake unseen. The mysterious guide had vanished into thin air. the trio of riders escorted z to the shaman. -

Oh, I assure you, I have a physical body. When I was around 8, my Mamaw explained to me, yes, I have a physical body but that ain't me. At 13, when I told her it was a thin veil separating physical and spiritual, she told me that was a comfort to her to hear that from me. I digress. I probably should have just addressed your post in general and not get hung up on a single point of it. Because, I can see what your getting at. I agree that for something spiritual to be useful in this physical realm that it has to be brought back to the physical from the spiritual realm. One can observe many marvelous things out there, often it is quite another task bringing that back. I don't think that I would compare it to a frozen death state. Death is somewhat a deep subject to address IMO. Less deep that the subject of Birth IMO. Instead of transcendental or supernatural; I think it's useful to think of transformation. I usually rail against purely objective reasoning, however, here, now, I will turn absolutely Objective reasoning. Objectivity, leads us to an object, in this case, the object is the process. Hey steve, I like that post. And dwai's post. Apech, here we are in the same physical realm and yet living in entirely two distinct worlds. Finances?

In myths, profound truths are discovered. It usually takes a heroic effort of an individual to experience rather than think to find themselves in a mythic scene with other mythic players. One could be in perfect synchronicity and find their way there too. Freedom is sublime level, higher realms. It must be tasted to be understood. In these realms we are participating in, Liberty is highly idealized and sought. What I want to speak to is the part of your post above. It is at the center of your post. " A spirit released from the body to roam free – but in being free has no interaction with any other being or thing." That isn't how it is.
