one university i am considering for grad school is pacifica, they have a low residency option, where students gather up once a month and/or quarterly, but this is in a cohort system, where students will have to interact with each other along with the professors intensively. the jung and joeseph campbell emphasis is what attracted me, plus they have very unique offerings. i do agree that this type of format is not suitable for all students. but for myself, it could work well. http://www.pacifica.edu/

i have seen you exercise great restraint and patience here. i have the rhino skin, tenacity and i can be flippant hehehe. the other qualifications you mention, i fall way way short. and i have like no tech savvy, no tech anything really.i do feel for the mods for sure. at times they can be almost in a no win situation.

thelerner, did/do you want to be a mod ? you seem even handed/level headed imo and have been on ttb a long time. i agree with you that the mods have a very tough job. glad i am not one. the recent mass exodus of previous mods is a curious event.

any teacher better still be learning themself. and dont go believing everything you read in the book either. when your experience tells you one thing and the book says sth else, who are you gonna trust? nice thread i gtg , will return tomorrow, that qigong empowerment book tells how to get started seeing auras and stuff like that.

i make a tea from the root zanshin, and always trying any new herb, go in small doses to see how you react to it. i am not tcm expert, and i do experiement on myself, fast and loose, but i think it is considered cold from tcm view but i dont know of any negative interactions with any drugs, but, again, i aint a doctor. i have seen this source listed here on ttb, its always good to do ones own homework too http://www.itmonline.org/arts/peony.htm

flowers are cool too, one mans marigolds are another man's calendula. the peonies that zanshin mentioned, at one time was the ancient chinese national flower and called king of flowers (there is a reason) combing white/red peony with other herbs is common and can be used stand alone. white peony, licorice, cinnamon and tumeric each day is one of the basic combinations i recommend to many.
