i like your post and thanks for sharing some good insight. "I laughed at myself" a healthy thing to do and a good sign " in this modern society is only going to bring you torment." i hear ya there, but lets find ways to experience less torment.it is challenging for sure, but i think you are heading in the right direction

if a bum goes to pp section and the topics are all locked, then where else would bum respond if saw fit? extreme poverty in the cities apparently really sucks but in the countryside of life , it aint so bad, really. it is a bit of a challenge some days but everyone else is also extremely poverty stricken and so the country folk have found ways to be resourceful and clever and mostly take great joy in helping others out. this sorta thing happens in my neck of the woods daily, nightly, in the morning too. and we never ever ever ever never ever never would ever ever dream of letting go of our dreams. never.

That's very compassionate of you relatively speaking, perhaps and that reminds me of the undivided light thing. i do remember that thread, owls were brought up then as well. not only are owls compassionate, they be wise. even if the owl of athena spreads her wings only after dusk, that is from hegel, i think? it is from someone and i dont wanna be called a plagerizer. with compassion as mh says go deep as the ocean with it or until you reach the heart of the sky.

today we are transporting french troops into mali and i reckon we are positioning ourself all over afrika. hey, the way the budget is working out, the only thing we will be able to fund in 20 years is the pentagon. edit> what can i do? besides i am trying to decide if i am to go to huntington mar 1 to see little big town or to lexington mar 2, to see george strait. i am leaning towards little big town, to be honest. i am blind and silent in regards to fascism, much safer that way. nothing in appalachia ever changes anyways. solution!! go see little big town and george strait, it seems obvious now, doh!

interesting perspective. i am in the camp that looks at him as being authentic in his being, true to himself and to his art.

ralis, good thread and timely for certain. mlk certainly knew his fate and still, he moved forward. he is a great and courageous man, and he was a man of destiny and great acheivement.his sacrifice echoes thru eternity. worthy of repect.

vmarco, you have probably elaborated on this elsewhere, can you direct me to where ? Undivided Light is proof that there is no god.

i dont classify giving food to the hungry or giving a coat to a homeless guy on a winter day compassion. that is just basic common humanity and nothing noteworthy. for compassion, one will have to penetrate much deeper than that, requiring skilful action.

that is a nice site. i was there looking at the ten principles and found my state group. the ten principles look useful in my doable anarchy idea i will be looking at that site awhile. i found this: You could be the world's most intrepid traveler, but nothing you have done before will prepare you for Burning Man. Spending a week in the Black Rock Desert will stretch your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual boundaries. While you may be coming to the event for this very reason, it can also put a tremendous strain on you and your relationships. Many a hardy Burner has melted down when "it all gets to be too much." count me in

thank you thelerner, and i am now a hillbilly burner. not sure if i will make it to the big one but getting to a couple of regionals will be cool too edit> maybe you can 30 day mentor me on burning?

zerostao replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in Forum and Tech Support
i just noticed that 2 of my friends who happen to be banned from ttb have vanished from my friends list. so, just for the record, it was not me who removed them. -

and the red chop the blue snake brought with it, represents? and what is going on with the tail? edit>however it does kinda look like a suitable subject for a tatoo, so all bums when we meet in public would recognize our bumness.

more of a flying spiraled serpent, i would say. strange, i did my taiji about 2 weeks ago and it was like i was the guy in the scene and all other images of that scene were present. no blue spiraled serpent descending upon me. now i hesitate to do my taiji outdoors!
