Edit to add: Oh!, I am still very good at spreading BS. you are certainly not the lone ranger here in that regard! ed>forgot to italicize 2nd edit>> maybe part of what is missing is the ralis/vaj dynamic type of thing. ralis is still here, so , -

Just noticed we got an occult subforum, any chance we could get a neigong/qigong subforum?
zerostao replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
how many arguments debates have sprung up over the subtle differences in what some call chi kung or qigong or neigong? the subforum expansion thing could be a good idea but do the majority of these subforums maintain momentum? imo the personal practice logs are ideal for these sorta things. you dont see me asking for a baguazhang subforum and please do not include it in one -

DMT would be infine-ately much better than DXM. thing is you can produce it on your own in your own brain, so in that way the legality or non-legal is a joke. and when you produce your own you dont have to worry about counterfeits http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=DMT

Vertigo has knocked off Citiizen Kane from its top spot (it held for 50 years) on the sight and sound critics list. what changed? perhaps the culture of criticism. alot to discus and consider with Vertigo. -

Best candidate country for country of Enlightened Wizards/Mages/Shamans
zerostao replied to SunLover's topic in General Discussion
of course a guy named sun lover will favor a country with a sun flag, go figure, but we have seen him before speak highly of china, then india, then indonesia, i dont think he ever took my greenland recommendation seriously, however,,, tasmania? interesting choice, there is a great baguazhang player from there I know Oz has at least one. yes, but better known for its witches i think isnt merlin from wales? @SIME, and all other wonderful tao bum sisters here, the worth of having a good female in ones life most likely out weighs the benefits of having 14 siddhis, thank you sisters for all that you contribute and share here. -

US Presidential Debate and what is really important to people

maybe one side can find a spot for a gore on the tickett too.i doubt it, but politics is a strange landscape. i keep saying all of this mess started in '92.it didnt really have as muc to do with who won in '92 imo but that is when the great divide began imo, rise of rush (barf) it just keeps getting messier, tho. most folks cant do math too well, and how i have benefited from that over my college career with the coeds, just helping with homework, hmm digression there. my bad.where was i going with that?? oh yeah, most folks dont do math too well, so these crunching numbers and dollars, or what used to be dollars ideas doesnt find a ready audience out in the voting world. anyways i am rambling here in a politics thread. better to speak of philosophy, Tao, baguazhang , qigong, breathing, self reliance, self respnsibility, how bruce lee practiced iron palm, hermit wanderings in the forest, real world stuff ! there was some movie came out in 1936, modern times with charley chaplin. i reckon it is about to find a new audience, being as it will soon become relevant again. damn i make some abstract leaps, maybe it only makes sense to me. but hey, i do like to remind everyone that it is just another great day with Tao -

the last 2 candidates that the gop has run, (well maybe more than 3, coz of dubya) have been seriously flawed. the extreme right has poisoned their own party's chances. that rush limbaugh idiot has done great harm to the conservative movement, and the quicker that guy is discredited and removed from his vitriolic spewing position- the better for everyone. especially better for republicans. hard right talk radio is not a noble endeavor. keep agitating and you end up with a bunch of agitated folks, is this a good thing? conservatives are not only found at the country club or on the yacht. the libertarian ideas of smaller govt, less taxes, less govt in our dailey lives appeals to a larger audience than the 1%. where have the days gone when the well-off displayed their big hearts, their generosity, their humanness? when exactly did they all become some idiot of an a$$ day in and day out, spewing hate and fear? yeah i am still talking to you rush-man. or some rich guy (trump-man) who likes to say "you're fired" what exactly was romneys message? he wasnt exactly forth coming about much at all, he didnt want to talk about his taxes obviously. didnt romney say sth like how he liked to fire people, wanted to take away medicare and medicaid, and education from half the population so he could fund tax cuts for the richest of the rich? is that a message we all can feel good about? republicans need to let go of their fear and hate and find a way to show the world, that they do have a heart. and that they are human. i know that they do indeed have a big heart. i reckon a few of them need reminded. mcconnell, demint. if i was still a republican, and thinking about how everything is right now, the image of republicans, i would be looking to roll a few heads. trump-man and rush-man is a starting point. i think most folks have had enuff of the hate vitriolic speech from the far hard right, i think this election reflected that. politics is worse than rust in that it never sleeps ever, so , i probably aint got any news here, but clinton vs bush in 2016 is a real possibility. glad you got ur obligatory posts out of the way. looking forward to your bgz posts.

US Presidential Debate and what is really important to people

yep, a heavy weight boxing champion retains the title if there is a draw, as would a champion chess player. to be the man one must beat the man, so to speak. and as college football has what they call a mythical champion with the bowl system and not a playoff system. regardless a sec team will always win in either case, but i digress... so i look at the presidential election as a mythical event. part of that is due to the anarchist that dwells in me. and part of it is due to the era we live in. in the age of enlightenment democracy flourished. in the modern world this began to change. the modern world mourned the loss of great traditions and the trend became to tend to reverse the traditional myths. such as religious institutions that could still be respected and democracy to name 2. the melody and the harmonics were now gone the newer music had sound and noise. the meta-narratives (super stories) myths) democracy and moral leaders) were reversed. (even if all still havnt noticed) the high priests of the modern age kafka, joyce, ts eliot, proust, rilke enacted the last rites to that age of enlightenment. the art was abstract, surrealism, cubism, futurism, and the scientists of that golden age who were also dealing with the loss of their great traditions, these events of arts and science still send major shock waves today. then the events of 2 world wars, the holocaust, great depression, great recession, global warming, and all the blowback we have been hit with. have us in the post-modern world, which if one is in step with the times, one would be celebrating the loss of those old traditions and how we could step into liberation. post modernism trend tends to fragment and be eclectic. it abandons the myths and meta narratives entirely. but the mainstream is not in step with the times, dangerously lagging behind the artists and scientists. our world now is more of a patchwork quilt, pieces of this and that blended together for something useful. the 2 party system is far outdated. and that is why it no longer works. can anyone here claim this 2 party system is working? if we are going to have a meaningful election it needs to be fragmentary and eclectic like the patch work quilt. sign as reality 1) we no longer see reality as it is , it has been replaced by a sign just like a zoo tries to represent wilderness. 2)sign distorts reality as like in a zoo you dont see a lion attacking a wilderbeast 3)sign disguises the absence of reality , here the masters of deception get tricky relying on how long they have been playing this game and how long we have been deceived. all animals in the zoo look peaceful here. 4)sign abandons reality like in a few years there will be no tigers left in the wild and can only be found in a zoo the same is true for good ol usa , sign now is usa is disneyworld.the reality of what was once america is long gone and forgotten. welcome to disneyworld (corporate america) "there are children who are afraid of the night, who have never been happy or good" but they can visit disneyworld and everything will seem ok. here in disneyworld we have candidate obama and candidate romney , or even an obamney coz it just dont matter anymore. the ceo of disneyworld is the master now. i dont think anyone represents our current post modern world quite like pink floyd we really oughtta step into the next age with new arts and sciences and not such a dualistic greedy evil system that our current criminal politicians use to deceive us -

i am thinking what is the possibility of a 269-269 electoral college tie? would be some high drama then. i am ready for a new environmental thread, should it be off topic or general discussion, taoist discussion, or in the lobby? i am thinking probably best not to place it in the lobby. edit i just looked at the map and for a 269 tie it would mean that romney must win , ohio, florida, missouri, virginia, and north carolina. seems a tall order -
The idea that someone can own a forest/land and charge you to live in it
zerostao replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
thank you for the kind words Ya Mu. yes it seems the majority have forgotten how to listen. i had taken the post down, even if i did want to share how being in the forest allows one to see things in a different light. but it is also a very personal experience/relationship i maintain with the forest here. and as with any other friendship , i do keep some things secret. i will share another quote from silas house from A Parchment of Leaves I wondered if the trees were God. They were like God in many respects: they stood silent, and most people, only noticed them when the need arose. Maybe all the secrets to life were written on the surface of leaves, waiting to be translated. If I touched them long enough, I might be given some information that no one else had.” forrest for rest -
