  3. for sure i have never contemplated anything endlessly yet. i liked your post alot oodjee, that is why i responded. but it is you that brought up determinism, time, space, infinite, cause and effect, motion,,, i have never been aware of my body or awareness occupying infinite space, so i cannot speak to that. you seem familiar, but i guess that cant be, as this is our first meeting, i suppose? welcome to the tao bums. yes it is taoist forum, thanks for the reminder. interested to hear more of your views on taoism. the quote is pulled from a new topic i started in the off topic section.
  4. under the aegis of the john templeton foundation and the copenhagen university research priority area on religion in the 21st century. some of my favorite personalities got together with some others and i first was aware of this becoz of paul davies about 4 years ago. anyways i have mentioned this book before here on TTB and recent threads about quantum physics, free will, spirituality, religion, philosophy, have brought me to posting this thread. the book i have mentioned a few times here is http://www.amazon.co...ture+of+reality here is a short video from the nour foundation. henry stapp was in attendence at copenhagen (and shares my admiration of heisenberg) dang i hope he does go into the zeno effect! http://www.youtube.c...&feature=relmfu http://www.esalenctr...id=161&pgtype=1

  6. "However, the dynamical structure of quantum theory contains certain causal gaps. In particular, the process-1 agent-generated choices of probing actions are determined, within the theory, neither by the physically described aspects of nature, nor by any non-human agency. Thus, within the framework of orthodox quantum mechanics, the process-1 probing actions are, according to the specified criterion, manifestations of human free will, and they have, by virtue of the dynamical rules of quantum theory itself, the capacity to influence, in consciously intended ways, the physical actions of the agent. Thus the passage from classical mechanics to quantum mechanics converts human beings from mechanical automata to causally efficacious conscious agents whose conscious intentional efforts can, by virtue of the quantum laws themselves, cause to occur the intended physical action and increase in knowledge."

  11. DGS's Dizzying DVD Collection

sword foundations dvd if you have ever watched a DGS dvd you have noticed at the beginning he is doing the iron shirt and then Chris Matsuo is looking at you and making small circles with his sword. the sword foundations video gives the insight on this. and if your goal is martial arts, then this is good material. and if your goal is energetics, then this is good material, if your goal is Shen, then this is good material if you have not connected your ldt to your palms yet and you wish to do so, this dvd tells you how to quickly it may be called sword foundations but do not take that as beginning level basics only it is excellent material and knowledge on here you wont expect to find on here

  15. How many Taoists are out there in the TTB....?

up in my neck of the woods, it is a better service to stop filling up the hummingbird feeders soon after labor day. that way they will head on down and visit MH for the winter. but it is great to put out bird seed here in the winter , that way local birds i never knew exisited show up and hang out. and the birds behave in the most polite manner with each other around the seed. birds are really very personable and friendly, their presence and company is very enjoyable. i never understood how some folks viewed sparrows and wrens as some sort of pests. they are both truly amazing and fascinating creatures. wu wei has been brought up a few times on this thread but i didnt notice if ziran had?

  19. How many Taoists are out there in the TTB....?

last night with a strong lightning storm, strong winds, heavy rains. i was sitting on my front porch, and i noticed this sparrow, that was riding the storm out, resting on top of a column that held up 2 main beams that met at the corner of the porch. so this sparrow had a very safe dry spot shielded from the winds and rains. she didnt seem to mind my swinging on the porch swing. and we both just enjoyed natures wonderful storm together.
  20. there are most definately benefits to rubbing the ldt and also the mdt. i dont know about the 300 or 81 numbers. 36 and or 24 should suffice. also an accumulating qi method of drawing a spiral pattern above ldt, without touching the body.with right hand cw. for men ccr for women, gradually increase size of spiral over your body as far as you can reach and then graduallu decrease spiral back to ldt and repeat as many times as you like. will accumulate qi quickly. allows genuine -qi to fill up your dantien and increases potential for qi to pass thru qi circualtion paths. after you have stopped spiralling , the genuine -qi will condense towards your center. kinda like the sensation of swirling water in a bucket. qi is gathered and will fill your entire body in a short period of time.
