  1. Practicing with wild animals

there was that shan pao guy that hung out on the rocks, climbing and meditating. at 70 he looked 17 and everything was going good until a tiger came along and ate him.
  2. YO HOMES

  3. my "yin always wins" was a kinda poke, tongue in cheek to thelerners response. yin and yang are relative to each other and interchangeable. your yin could be my yang at the same moment in time. "The big Tao doesnt bias for that." how can you be certain? the I Ching ,(( i thinks)) also does call yin and yang forces. the I Ching is far a more perfect explanation than some faith based science, like quantum physics. that is so 20th century already.
  4. didnt Lao Tzu say that yin always wins?
  5. "Cmon gimme a break!" fair enuff, break given. "Taoism didnt believe in science?" joeblast correctly said Taoism is science, a science that has continuously continued for a few thousand years. (it is also the divine art) Taoism also " employs logical reasoning " (Wu) i never said yin and yang were forces "But I was ignored and I was asked if I read someone elses thread." yes, this was bad form on my part. this "I didnt equate Taoism with a high school dropout relative to the 'college physics student' of Science. Though it might be apt analogy," may have been the impetus for my post and another post that no longer exists on this thread.
  6. Looking for a book that explain the I Ching

  8. "(lunch is over I have to get back to work ,bye)" and you said i was side-steppin' . interesting. the reason i asked how familiar you are with yin yang theory is that i am up for this conversation and want to start at an appropiate place one note> when do taoist theories ever get over turned by a new discovery, unlike a 'scientific' theory that do sometimes/often get over turned at times when there is a new discovery in the scientific world edit> what scientific discoveries have i apparently missed that invalidates yin/yang theory?
  9. stosh, i reckon you have looked over taomeow's thunder trigram thread? yin yang 5 elements 8 trigrams how much have you looked into yin yang theory?
  10. he played some baguazhang too edit> and at that time baguazhang was big time esoteric

  12. How many Taoists are out there in the TTB....?

"A true Chinese Taoist does not go to serve the State nor get involve with politics. " i dont know if this is totally accurate or not, but i really dig how it sounds. "A true Chinese Taoist is someone that believes in the principles of the Tao Te Ching or belongs to a Taoist religion." well those are 2 types of taoists
  13. taoism always stays at least one step ahead of science at every turn

  17. wonderful to have you back around : )

  18. i dont have an explanation for it, but yesterday's meditation, out on a good friend's deck overlooking some of the red river gorge area, i had not been in meditation long, but the resident cat, named "cuz"(solid black with a crooked tail) anyways, i hadnt been in meditaion long at all, and cuz was walking up behind me and i could see him. my eyes were closed and as i "watched" him about to step into my normal field of view, i opened my eyes and there he was exactly in step and exactly how i saw him with my eyes closed. there was an abundance of good clean natural energy around, ancient trees and rock formations for example, but it was cuz's energy that i saw. then we played around a bit and then both of us went back into meditation. maybe cuz is a jedi master in disguise idk.
  19. forest dwelling ....

"Anyway, Wollumbin (1,156 m) Mt Warning, the cloud catcher," interesting , as yesterday in red river gorge, after a serious lightning storm, i trekked down with a couple of friends a cliff line path, (nevermind after some gooseberry wine and 4 red stripes) as any mis-step woulda been like a several hundred feet fall. anyways, found a cliff shelter/rock house , great spot for meditation or just getting away from it all , except raw natural beauty. but from that view, i witnessed clouds forming from the forest floor and rising to the tree tops and then going about their way. a butterfly floated by and a hawk came and checked us out.
  20. Anyone know about Bunny Style Kung Fu

the leaping bunny fa jin is what makes bunny kung fu so effective. the zig zag hopping pattern also.
  21. wonders if i am the only one who wants the slowest greatly extended/protracted/ longest method to all this tao bizness. coz, i am enjoying the revelry gratefully as i frolic along in wonder each step along the way of the path to want to get into a rush or hurry. if i took the quickest fastest route i might miss the many sublime ineffable delights along the way.
