in the early (bugs) bunny kung fu videos. bugs took as many lumps, or more , than he dished out. little by little, and over time, using patience and perseverance , and never ever ever never giving up, then bugs became master.

How many Taoists are out there in the TTB....?
zerostao replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
MH "after I have proven myself to be what I truely am." if a goal of taoism is to return one to their true self, is this done by experiencing and tasting taoism for oneself, or, by reading books about taoism or going by what others have said about taoism. ?????? -

i just did a google search about rabbit kung fu and many sites came up about it. in my youth i watched alot of video about bunny kung fu stuff and the bugs is still one of my all time favorites. i definately like bunny stance way more than horse stance. cat stance imo has similarities to bunny stance and the hippity hoppity movements to be effective takes years of dedicated practice. i never could get my ears quite right tho. and i always just stayed with classical bunny kung fu from the bugs. i am also reminded of the rabbit motif from the movie The Edge with anthony hopkins. http://www.mikebarklage.com/?p=25 i have heard that the lucky foot clan has the higher level esoteric variety not usually available to the general public.

Ulises, the words/actions you bolded are expressions of energy, no? imo the message there is that bgz has a way to refine these energies for a different expression. i think in every land people have met with terrible fates and still do. what can i do about that? i am just a poor guy that plays some bgz and wanders the forests in search of useful herbs. there are no no tresspassing signs up here, only welcome signs. you are welcome to come play energy with us and it would be wonderful if you sent me or any of my local pals flying to the ground with your wild raw intense bushman qi. that would be an interesting experience. i have always enjoyed your posts on this forum, i consider you a friend, and after you come honestly express your qi energy and send me flying, i will still consider you a friend and then we can sip some tea. i am always looking for further understanding and kind heartedly welcome such things.

imo it is about having the proper wiring to handle the current. i am all for spontaneous expression but i dont want to be like a fish flopping around out of the water either.

yesterday wanderings took me into the red river gorge area of kentucky. i met a gentleman there who reminded me of this by john muir "Few are altogether deaf to the preaching of pine trees. Their sermons on the mountains go to our hearts; and if people in general could be got into the woods, even for once, to hear the trees speak for themselves, all difficulties in the way of forest preservation would vanish"

to loosely paraphrase chapter 71 TTC the sage is sick of sickness. therefore the sage is not sick.

not trying to start a what/who is tao thread, (even if i do enjoy and frequent those type of threads) but rather just an open call for anyone to post on this thread if they have a little voice inside of them telling them to embrace the tao and what that may mean to them on a personal level. please no preaching, or trying to convert to a specific religion,or to a lack of one, no authority figures, for me i am just trying to be close to nature and play some baguazhang. this along with studying the I ching is how i am trying to answer the call. here i present this guys view. http://www.youtube.com/user/TheWudangTao#p/u/4/Ldbsij3SiYc

point taken, The Observer. the Tao being the origin/source is beyond what our language can explain and beyond what our minds can comprehend. Tao is unobjective. it is within and also beyond space time.(which puts it beyond quantum physics as well) using our language to try and explain Tao easily leads to wrong conclusions. being beyond the limitations of time and dimension, imo, puts it beyond logical conscious thinking or any man made scientific reasoning. Tao is the universal truth and it is everywhere. your "spiral of ascending growth" comes from cultivation and experience. we all see what we see depending on our own current experience and understanding. intellectualizing using man made rules is limiting. when i said intuitive , maybe we can look at it as using our heart and spirit to feel and experience the essence.
