wow , even rick perry "endorsed" romney. even ol' rudolf did, even if it seems some of the gop guys endorsed only after kicking and fighting and having to have been dragged to the endorsement table. i dont see near the enthusiasm for this election as the past 3. the gop and the demos neither look too energized this time around. it is like no matter how many times we shake up the etch-a-sketch nothing too exciting reveals itself. joeblast has mentioned a few times about the three trillion (trillion, with a T) of CA$H that has been sitting on the sidelines , becoz the guys with the cash-ola do not trust the current bizness environment , due to excessive regulation, to enter the game. if anyone thought how the 800 or so billion (billion with a ) stimulus helped out our economy, then consider how THREE TRILLION bizness dollars might change our economic state. and for any bizness folks out there, if you could choose one of these two and only one: keep the current low tax rates ? or have less regulations ? which of these two would help the economy more?

How many tai chi players does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
zerostao replied to Green Tiger's topic in General Discussion
richard clear is our neighbor down in tennessee. i also remember him from his silat days with steve gartin and the de Thouars. and my friend lazy cloud , has had many conversations with richard clear. he has been generous in sharing knowledge with us. it does seem he now teaches more baguazhang than he had prior to talking with us....anyways i had always heard of the big 8 form and had imagined it to be press. push, roll back, ward off, split, pull, elbow strike, shoulder strike, BUT when i explored further into the clear 8 form and found the eight moves to be the opening, wild horse parts the mane, brush knee, play guitar, repulse the monkey, cloud hands, carry the cauldron, and closing. i understood what he is accomplishing with this set. it is very close to what i understand as a way to get to macro. clear did offer for LC to teach clear taichi. when we venture down to visit the Yin baguazhang guys in maryville, we will stop in and visit with the clear taichi guys. should be a great roadtrip for us. we do also understand that clear is very much an american biznessman. -
my cousin lindsay remarked "oh he is not a handsome bear" but i am thinking he just had one of those days that bears sometimes have. somedays you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. and those claws!

doing this walking out in the fresh air, it exercises every part of one's body. coordinating the movements with mind and body, circulating the blood up from the feet, thru the legs, thru-out the entire body. this maintains physical and mental health. this refreshing of your mind and body in this way, it then becomes easier to begin sitting meditation and able to focus with a clear mind.

Studies document energy coming from trees :)
zerostao replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in Daoist Discussion
great stuff, steve. awakening to the energies and messages of a tree. i always express thanks when a tree shares with me something marvelous. i thank them for just letting me hang around them, yes often times playing my baguazhang. i imagine that the buddha also thanked the tree he sat under when he became enlightened, don't ya think?! Trees in particular were mysterious, and seemed to me direct embodiments of the incomprehensible meaning of life. For that reason, the woods were the place that I felt closest to its deepest meaning and to its awe-inspiring workings.C.G.Jung, Memories, Dreams, Reflections -

yep, i have the Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming dvd and i always like anything by Dr. Yang. my friend lazy cloud and his teacher and teacher's teacher etc, have a 5 animal frolics far more complete than i have seen elsewhere. there is a live set of the 5 animals, then a dead set , then a spirit set , and the original hwa t'o posture too. and lazy cloud's set is the same 5 animals that Dr. Yang illustrates. of course there are other 5 animal sets with different animals. there is a standardized set. like lazy cloud will say, zerostao will never give him undue credit. in this case his school has the top shelf goods. at one time i thought that with the hwa t'o and xingyiquan would be the path i took. and it woulda been a great choice. if someone needs some great health and a medical qigong, this one should be considered. excellent for the lymph systems.

hmmm i have listed the source in previous posts, just trying to further the conversation, if you are referring to me, which , it is my thread. and feel free to come up with any geometry idea that has not already been played by some one. i never claimed to invent the circle. i just like talking about it. i woulda preferred you joined into the conversation and seen where it naturally went from there. i was hoping you had a geometry game.

yeah, really cool. and exactly what i would expect from Gerard. bagua on bro' i also rejoice in the splendor of forest dwellings, hidden caves, the reverie of high mountain haunts, boxing with clouds, the visitations from other sentient beings, in this case the fox "Happy is he who has the pure truth in him. He will regret no sacrifice that keeps it. " faust
