  3. Life's a Dream

ancestors of the dreamtime. they are still dreaming. their power and presence remain as dreaming today. alas how rarely, only at epochs of most intense tranquility when the bodily and mental health are in perfection and those mere points of time when the confines of the waking world blend with the world of dreams http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txlXcJDtDwM&feature=related

  5. Taoist Approach to Dating

" Stop jumping through hoops and attempting to make other people jump through them as well." agreed but i think hula hooping is alright. hoopty hoop get yer hoop on "and trying to immediately isolate her from her friends is creepy" is way creepy and sometimes it is the female trying to keep the guy away from his friends. "right timing, don't force anything, honour yourself" yeppers

  7. The Tao of John Titor

"In the year 2000, he predicted that we would be stripped of our rights, civil liberties and freedoms, eventually leading to civil war. We would spiral into a fascist police state, and before 9/11 he predicted war with Iraq and us lying about their WMD's to justify it:" in the year 2000 he certainly would not have been the only one predicting these things. nothing remarkable here. besides time travelers are sworn to secrecy and cannot make public commentary here tho it was expalained away by saying "she" was using a hearing aid. but i ask, where is the person she was talking to?

so wildcat nation had to dispatch our country cousins, the hilltoppers from western kentucky. 81-66 and a possible rematch/revenge game from last years tournament will not happen becoz the uconn huskies failed to show up for their game against the cyclones. not to look ahead but hopefully the hoosiers and the duke blue devils will find a way to meet up and dance with the wildcats.

joeblast, in regards to "where exactly is it that you compromise with these people? " you may be spot on. then again maybe not. when obama first took office he offered john boehner a high level cabinet position in the white house. the obama idea supposedly was to create a way to have better cooperation between these 2 parties and work in a bipartisan manner. so again i will bring up my poker analogy. maybe this was just a bluff by the president and he really was just using this as window dressing and would had proceeded with his own agenda all along? but becoz folks like boehner and mitch mcconnell would not call obama's "bluff" we will never know. in poker if you dont call bets and choose to lay the hand down (and at poker tables since forever this is called "playing republican poker"(( and i have been accused of such practices))(((and sometimes this does pay off))) but there comes a critical moment during the game when one needs to call the bet to know if the other guy is indeed bluffing or he is genuinely holding nice cards. if this hadda been played that way, showing some guts and calling a bet, then perhaps the political climate would look very different today and maybe the gop would have a chance to win the white house. and imo by not calling that bet 4 years ago it has further doomed the chances this time around. if a party of "conservatives" continues to nominate these mccains and romneys, then where is the will to return to the "direction of the founders" ? i totally understand your tea party stance, i do not at all understand your republican stance. they have become gutless. even if 2/3 are supporting either santorum or gingrich, the way the game is played romney has the lead. so i wont use the gin rummey phrase here but i do ask this, is the game we are playing more resembling high stakes poker or all we playing another card game , one that is called bullshit? edit> since you throw this progressive label around. romney has called himself a progressive.

tell that to don imus. freedom of speech is not my issue. i even applaud eminem for standing up for his right to free speech. even if his brand of music isnt same as mine. anyone can say what they like. i am saying he(rush) is not good for the GOP party. imo he is hurting the party. he is a distraction to the message. and i will repeat, it would be really great to hear these "candidates" talk about the message rather than to repeat their attacks on each other. the amounts of money they are spending on these personal attacks fails to inspire. rush is a provocateur and he has every right to say what ever he wants. he is not alone ann coulter comes to mind, i did accept her on myspace but not on facebook ( all provacateurs are not right wingers ) what i am saying is rush is more of the problem than he is the solution. widening the divide wider and wider. what ever it takes. its a simple equation for rush, the more folks he pisses off the more money he makes. what a way to earn a living. creating more division ( which is the same as opposing any chance of unity) when tom brokaw coined the "greatest generation" well spot on for so many obvious reasons. one of which was , whoever our leaders were , they had the support of the nation and the nation was strong. their single mindedness of doing the right thing made this nation the superpower it is . and this divisiveness will surely bring it ,i would say us , but us is some unknown term at this point. anyways we are going down due to the widening division. connecticut was brought up earlier, i am not qualified to speak of that place. and judging by the price of a glass of guiness, probably not going there anytime soon. but i can speak of kentucky. here goes my 2 cents. which is worth about .000000002 cents these days, but i digress, kinda we have 2 republican senators here, yup. one i have great admiration for, the other , not so much. one is a champion of personal liberty and maybe the closest thing to a jefferson that exists in these times. one well, he is certainly not part of the "greatest generation" by any stretch of the imagination. the day after our current president was sworn into office, his official statement was his only goal for the next 4 years was to make sure this president would not be re-elected. wider division. wider. lets take a look at the kentucky flag no matter what these 2 figures represent ,( could be rich man/poor man. city slicker/country bumpkin, or republican/democrat ) the message remains the same. "united we stand and divided we fall" it is a handshake, sincere and genuine to work together for the good of all. mutual benefit. (not mutual destruction) the very first republican president, one abe lincoln (who was born in kentucky) shared a similar concept when he said "a house divided against itself cannot stand" united we stand , divided we fall.. does this make any sense? any at all? eminem and rush share much in common , i think they are twins or sth http://www.youtube.c...h?v=WA6_yvgS9As

no surprise here that gin rummey fisished 3rd in both mississippi and alabama. if gin rummey tries that $^&! of saying ya'll and cheezy grits in cajun land he will probably be fed to swamp gators. if the "candidates" would forgo the viscious attack ads and try to stay on message about the issues perhaps they could be viewed as a viable alternative to obama. and this rush charactor , hasnt he been providing such a huge dis-service to the republicans for what? 20 years or so. he needs to just go away and stay away. http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/12/10657379-rush-limbaugh-off-armed-forces-radio-some-petition-obama-to-make-it-so?ocid=twitter&ocid=ansmsnbc11

O'bama is irish?
  15. [TTC Study] Chapter 10 of the Tao Teh Ching

"can you keep the spirit and the body without scattering?" fundamental idea of taoist meditation. unite the body and mind to gain longevity and immortality. "can you concentrate your mind to use breath, making it soft and quiet like a baby's?" refers to the immortal fetus which matures with meditation to become the spirit child. "can you purify your contemplation and keep it free?" scrub the mirror so it will reflect purely "can you love the people and rule the state by non action?" the body is the state(people)(qi) the spirit(mind) is the king. chuang tzu refers to kuang cheng tze telling the yellow emperor "your spirit will keep your body, and the body will live long, long time"

obviously we know where you stand joeblast with the maybe 30% that comprise the gop base that will vote for any republican candidate. and we know where ralis stands with the maybe 30% that comprise the democratic party base. but the question is who the other 40% would want to drink a beer with? and with romney there is not even that option. there anyone would be left alone at the bar. still thirsty. a couple of trends you may be aware of: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/05/the_incredible_shrinking_repub.html http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/12/us-usa-wisconsin-recall-idUSBRE82B1CJ20120312 http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/voter-id-rules-a-solution-in-search-of-a-problem/2012/03/12/gIQA8m8D8R_story.html

  20. You gotta love the republicans...

key indicator. not scientific even if based on observation. in 1992 would you rather drink a beer with george 41 or bill ? most folks woulda and still probably woulda said bill, right? 1996 bob dole or bill? bill again, right? for most folks anyways. 2000 al gore or dubya? most folks again with dubya 2004 dubya or kerry, maybe a closer call here but still leaning towards dubya. 2008 O'bama or mccain? not even that close . O'bama wins out. now in 2012 would you rather drink a beer with gin rummey, er i mean mitt romney or obama? well , this isnt even a choice becoz rummey wont drink a beer with anyone. obama by default but even given the choice i would rather split a pitcher with barrack. so. gin rummey now calls going to the south an "away game" . this guy just never stops giving, does he? what a gaffe by the great gaffer. in the south they love their southern iced tea. he aint gonna drink a glass or a cup of tea with anyone either. coffee? not a chance. i know he wont put a jaw full of redman in and spit just to look cool. can he at least eat a few grits? probably not. so an "away game" in the heart of his base does not fair too well in my estimation for this guy. in the south even the poor folks will vote against their economic interests to be a proud republican. i seriously seriously doubt they will take much effort this time for this guy. gin rummey is not the game we need in times like these. we need high stakes poker. alot is on the line. so many chips on the table. this gin rummey cant pull off a bluff coz no one really is convinced by what he is saying most of the time anyways. he is a gambler tho. he did offer the governor of texas a 10,000 $ wager on a debate stage. so rummey has plenty of chips an insane amount really, but he throws them out on the table with such casualness. hey its only money. he may as well light up a cigar using a 100$ bill as the match, oh wait , he doesnt smoke either. so strike that. speaking of games away and such. how about Game Changer http://www.youtube.c...h?v=IPhh7mch5zo even steve stein from huffingpost or is it puffington host? hey JB , anyways even steve stein from this arriana huffington creation , steve stein expresses incredibale admiration for who? sarah palin, thats who. damn she could win the south and i would drink a beer with her. the only hope at this point ,it really is that bleak, is a brokered convention. it aint over til its over.
