  3. My Little Pony

"A path is just a path until someone walks on it and it becomes a different experience for different people " yeah i liked this so much i almost would post a ponycare video i still dont understand the obsession with horse stance but that path thing is excellent.
  4. Purity and Tranquility Scripture

thanks Harmonious Emptiness, i have seen it before , i thought i had seen it in the TTC or chuang tzu. it is one of my favorites , even if i obviously didnt know where it came from. wow
  5. "We will SEE when World Peace is approching, by the reduction of vicious breeds owned. In a World of Peace, the only Pit Bulls would be in zoos, or show owners,...although the latter, even in a Peaceful society, would likely be discouraged." Vmarco , when do ya reckon World Peace will be approaching? i didnt realize that dogs were our obstacle to World Peace. i think pit bulls are like most creatures > give them sufficient care and love and they will respond positively to that. if you go around hating on some creature it will show its teeth, claws, respond to you in the predictable manner. kindness, compassion, understanding, and love dude , will get us closer to World peace than banning certain dogs. IMO
  6. depends on what you want, if you wanna be a military marvel go 110% to have your qi flowing effortlessly and smooth go 5%
  7. My Little Pony

  8. Do Ya'll guys drink?

http://news.yahoo.com/drink-alcohol-live-longer-193615870--abc-news.html and when you add some herbs (tinctures baby!) results become magical.
  9. Weak Knee

on a side note and may be un related but reminded me, once a shawnee elder told me that "your knees hold your fear" and i would take a look at Gerard's link. tumeric? tumeric is one herb/spice (whatever it is) i would recommend for daily use. i agree it is good for the joints and apparently more http://www.healthdia...f-turmeric.html edit>spelling
  10. My Little Pony

ponies are way way cool. horses are awesome wonderful creatures and along with dogs put us humans higher up the food chain. here in kentucky horses are a big big deal. we celibrate them and with them. horse stance tho? i am not such a big fan of. i can get into a very low horse stance and stay there longer than most. but why? even if i wanted to specialize in unicorn bagua or horse xingyi imo san ti shi is the btter stance. that horse stance stuff looks so fun
  11. good point. i even push hands with a couple of guys with their pit bulls present. sometimes the dogs just sit and watch. other times they also want to play. they never get defensive or offensive. dogs pick up vibes that give them clues about a person and what state of mind they are in at that moment. i still suggest to the op about DGS and Matsuo and maybe baguazhang. there are subtle differences in the results one will get from tajiquan or bgz but both are higer level internal arts. both offer great health. and would any dog ever challenge a proficient baguazhang player?
  12. thread for off topic re-directs

yeah i got a kick out of it. i almost put it on "what made you laugh today" i liked the guy who said he would accept a life of oppression if the girl in the middle would have him. then i watched several other videos about north korea
  13. i take it then you didnt enjoy hawaii very much? i could probably work with you on the viscious dog thing to where you could walk past them and they not give a care or even appear to notice you.
  14. thread for off topic re-directs

i didnt want to start a military type of thread. i am not trying to single out north korea here as many nations have this type of madness on parade. eyes right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp6cB7BGj48
  15. i certainly would check out chris matsuo too. i cannot imagine him turning away a sincere student. he does have big demands on his time but get into the dragongate circle and you will not regret it.
  16. "As far as I know, no practitioner of qi-gong was saying that to themselves to begin with. ' Oh hey, I realise I'm breathing like shit and it will likely shorten my life". hmmm, maybe not exactly like that. it was more like i thought i was about to breathe my last dying breath. i have already posted about that twice. there is no doubt about it - qigong saved my health (life)
  17. SOPA

"but of course we both know that isn't going to happen, ever. The system is "fixed" and that means it will never be fixed. " very defeatist attitude here. some folks need to quit their self pitying , whining, and sniveling and take appropiate actions . really it is up to each of us to stand up for our rights anytime we feel they are infringed upon. then and only then will our rights be protected. i will say it like this even- the only rights you have are the ones you are willing to stand up and fight for. rust never sleeps and here is an example of what i am talking about http://news.yahoo.co...--abc-news.html
  18. I think I've lost it

wine and frank? naw , whisky and hank - yep hank sinatra http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JerF26-pqlo
  19. i always appreciate Apech's great sense of humor. or is it humour? GB is trying to be the monkey wrench in the EU while we(USA) are trying to form a NAU. scotty remember it is like GB are buddhists & americans are taoist i do agree with the OP that as long as we continue to follow this 2 party system that is serving the lobbyists so well we will not make a meaningful breakthru. so, maybe even if we dont have the perfect third party candidate, should vote for him anyways to rattle the system a bit. one day GB may end up being the 57th state of the union, so try and get along with the blokes, or the bloody blokes or whatever seems appropiate. her majesty is a pretty nice girl but she aint got alot to say roger waters for president http://www.youtube.c...h?v=tcRYdVlGXNQ the question is "why shouldnt you"
  20. Bone Healing

for me qigong is a remakable tool that some of us have the very good fortune to use and to enjoy. and i would expect that there would be taoist, medical, and shaolin qigongs especially for healing bones. even boy scouts are instructed on how to treat a broken bone out in the wilderness. if re-alligning , make sure there is no pressure on the bone. i am not a MD, so please over look a lay person making a few points, i am sure i am not 100% accurate about this. but here goes. the healthy human body is also remarkable in its naturalness and effectiveness in healing bones. when the bone is fractured , the body immediately starts the process of healing. ruptured blood vessels gather at the break and form a clot. this clot contains reconnective tissue cells and produces collagen. this fast forming clot has already laid the foundation for the complete restoration of the bone. in a matter of a very few days the fractured bone has produced new blood vessels and begins to clean up the break. the connective tissue is multiplying and producing collagen forming a matrix where the original clot had formed. after this, some (as much as needed) repairing cells produce cartilage and uncalcified bone and these begin to fuse the bone back together. then the bone becomes more compact and is pretty much healed. so in the case of a broken bone to a healthy person imo the natural response of the body will do the work. i am very much interested in any qigongs that would address another area of bone health. when we age what will keep the bones strong and healthy. what will keep our marrow young and healthy. can we keep it more red than yellow? i have heard that some elderly folks use marrow instead of jing for more qi circulation. is this a wise choice? i do have some knowledge of herb use to adress these issues.
  21. SOPA

well they have started running those "stop online piracy that steals jobs from americans" commercials again. do not underestimate the forces that would suppress liberty, freedom of speech, open communication. i am sure they will recraft a new bill soon. be ever vigilante folks.
  22. thats cool you guys, really none of the rest of us were interested in that subject anyways. way too complicated for the rest of us to follow. i do give Ya Mu the benefit of the doubt , as he may not have seen Steve's original post. and certainly anyone can go back and edit their posts. i have done it myself. i didnt find Steve's original post to have any negativity. just some good substance and good questions. i can go back to a thread about cartoon ponies or take a break from TTB.
  23. Happy new Chinese Dragon Year 2012!

all the best to you also Friend.
  24. 2012 Re-Birth "Re_naissance"

for full lotus and other interested bums "The amanita muscaria is very dangerous -- you have to eat it very slowly so the liver can convert the poison into muscimol which is a GABA substitute as a neurotransmitter. So at first you get real sleepy since GABA inhibits glutamate that in turn regulates adrenaline but then the brain realizes it's not really GABA and so you get a lack of GABA in the brain and the glutamate levels go super high in the body. The sensation is very strong euphoria with no fear -- since GABA is needed to activate the amgydala that creates fear in the brain. So the Vikings took Amanita Muscaria before going into battle -- the Beserkers. I harvested the mushroom after it had dried out while growing -- it changed from red to golden yellow -- so it was less toxic since it had dried which converts the ibotenic acid to muscimol. Still I ate one shroom in one hour -- very slowly -- since I monitored the nausea levels so I wouldn't throw up. Then the euphoria kicked in and I was in " so i heard this rumor rumor is that A. muscaria collected in the beginning of the season are more potent, and less toxic to the system, than those collected towards the end of the season. i personally have not done any experimentation in this area, but i do believe that further scientific study is needed to verify this information. from what i understand this is myth has some support in the ethnobotanical lore of Siberian tribes. anyways when i am out in the forest i often run across these. they come in red, orange, yellow. i pick those up. they also come in brown and white and i leave those alone. so ifin any bums wanted any of these , i know i will have em but know what you are getting yourself into, do your own homework
