"How do we the people protect the constitution? By electing leaders who will do as such. Not electing "leaders" based on whomever will spread the most largess from the treasury. " i agree 100% obviously it is high time to just soak the rich and in a democracy , what else could be expected? the overwhelming majority of folks, some who even frivolosly cast their vote, thinking that they can make a difference. are not the rich , at some point they will decide to vote in their economic interests. the rich won't mind having the money redstributed as i have heard them say over and over again. if we divided up the money all equally- in 6 months time the rich will be rich again. and i agree . i do subscribe to a trickle up theory. the trickle down theory never quite works out. the poor folks let go of their funds , the rich do not. so it will all balance back out. and now more than ever we need the rich to become involved and innovative. i think to encourage their innovation give them an incentive. i personally dont care for Mr. Warren Buffett but i know most rich do worship him, so now that he has spoken, it is clear which way to go on this. and it is the more civil way to go , i think. and "Anarchy is preposterous; it would take a mile-sized asteroid to "get us out of the system" i disagree. the problem i see however , is that too many folks are not (cap)able to step away from their (sickness) dependency on having big brother or uncle sugar be so conviently there to provide all the needs and wants. for me that type of government is preposterous and evil. it is not compassion to take away the masses(sheep) ability to care or fend for themselves. the beat goes on, things stay on pace http://www2.volstate.edu/geades/FinalDocs/1970s&beyond/malaise.htm to get back on topic Is rick Perry the Devil? will someone please show me one politician who is not in league with the devil. i am not a pessismist. on a day when the detroit lions, the buffalo bills, and the cleveland browns all won, i do realize anything is possible

different qigongs have different purposes. what are you wanting from your qigong? for example i could show you a qigong that would let you break a brick in about 6 months might not be the qigong you are looking for? it has been suggested on this forum this is a decent place to start http://ymaa.com/publishing/books/qigong/the_root_of_chinese_qigong

speaking of singularity lets consider if a magician can pull a rabbit out of a hat. (sufficient amount of pondering) now lets consider if a rabbit needs a magician to come out of a hat. (more pondering required) or can we suppose that a rabbit can just pop out of the hat (singularity) all on its own? ok one other thought, did david bowie have just one space suit or did he have ch cha ch cha changes? off topic in the basement is a cool place (((literraly, figuratively, symbolicaly. allegoricaly -
i had no idea you were that old ?? but still naive? cmon man your "nobody believed" statement. tongue in cheek , maybe? i reckon then it was mission accomplished for perot. all reality especially imperical reality is subjective. i do think it is prudent to consider and examine emperical data. laffer is a curve ball constructed by thought experiment. however there are many curves that could satisfy the boundary conditions in regards to tax rates. little can be said without further assumptions about the empiracal data. one hypothical of the laffer curve is that the ideal rate would be 70% . i am not an economist but that seems a bit harsh to me. the curve is often depicted in a parabolic model, however there is no reason for this as my assumption is that the range would be anywhere from 0% to 100%. i could point out that this is on taxable income only and that either a 0% or a 100% tax rate has no effect on me. i would also add that if the tax rate was 100% for all working americans and that for some reason they decided to continue to work and pay that rate. we would still not be able to pay off our national debt. but we could still mangae to pay the interest laffer himself said that in SOME circumstances a reduction of tax rates would actually increase govet revenues. ( i almost puked typint the word govet, ack ) LAFFER SAID> that the curve should not be the sole basis for raising or lowering tax rates. as to if obama is a blessing in disguise or if perry is the devil? i have no concerns either way. well the devil may care but i sure dont. in regards to economists i favor William Evevett Preston

OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

6-10 grams of piracetam at a time?! wow, wow that is some serious brain salad surgery there. on a couple of occasions while working in the desert of south texas, del rio area, i wandered into mexico, stood in line behind the folks who were buying oxycontin, xanax, anabolic steroids, whichevers, and then i presented by box of 800 mg piractems, nootropil(the original nootropic, i presume becoz of the brand name?) anyways i was taking one each, 3 times a day. really i am the guy who might recklessly take too many natural herbs, minerals, nutrients, mushrooms, tree barks. deer antler velvets, etc but as far as chemicals, i only would go in for small dosage if at all. still piracetam had piqued my curiosity and i would like to have combined it with hydergine, again small doses. at any rate my co-workers insisted i dis-continue the piracetam. their observation was that i could not only read their minds but also plant their next thoughts there they already had a certain trepidation about sitting at a poker table with me. and now it was just impossible to get a little recreational poker in after work. well, i no longer wander down into mexico but i wouldnt mind some piracetam and or hydergine. if anyone can PM me a lead on where to aquire? or else i could check ebay? afterall live cobras and nuclear kitchens have been found there

Self-moderation as a community effort on The TaoBums
zerostao replied to Stigweard's topic in Forum and Tech Support
i totally disagree with this 100% it is not sean or the mods that are responsible for the divisive bullshit. it is stig mostly and some scotty. the trolls that come and go are only a minor distraction compared to your guys agenda here , imo. edited -
Self-moderation as a community effort on The TaoBums
zerostao replied to Stigweard's topic in Forum and Tech Support
Stig, "My wondering at the moment is why are we subscribing to an autocratic model of community when Laozi is clearly guiding us to become more libertarian and free-spirited." patience and perserverence are always keys to success in anything tao like, yes, no? being in harmony, isnt that what lao tzu advises? does the community always act in a smooth harmony? i do like this thought i have often used it myself " The more you treat people that way the more they will act that way. Which will then apparently justify the autocratic model, and the dysfunctional cycle perpetuates itself" and i have always felt that if everyone is given respect then they will show respect, but here i do not always see that play along that line. in fact very often i see the opposite. still i think it takes some patience and perserverence and some growing pains for it to take hold. not everyone (most do not , i think) has a thick rhino hide like SZ. it is a very admirable quality and reflects his self-confidence. i also respect steve for sincerely sharing his view on ownership. and i can understand why he has this view. it is apparent that you and scotty and others have a strong passion for what you think is a better model. one time i did report a spam that was in the PP log. i have never reported a member here, have never called on any to be suspended. it is good to see that you said that you are not battling the mods here. but from my view it does seem like that you are.you and scotty have launched a relentless barage of demands towards them. and you want these demands adressed in an unreasonable amount of time. and Stig you were a mod , so you know how these things take time. when i replied to you early in another mod thread in a similar way as this , you basically dismissed my post out of hand. have you noticed others are now echoing similar posts? from my view all of this" discussion"has shown how much consideration and patience and leniency and trust our mods do have to give us ample opprotunity to self moderate. it is always good to see you and scotty posting in general or taoist discussion, i am always interested in those posts. maybe it is the anarchist in me that finds these mod threads a drag. we have a cool forum here, for some it feels like community. bonds are forged here. TTB is a special place. is it exactly as i woulda set it up and run it? nope. i am sure we all have a little different view on that. i for one would let the pit be the smelly stinky unmoderated place it once was. but thats just my idea about it. i really dont think general discussion area should be one big pit like atmosphere. we all have our ideas . it isnt really practical imo to have everyone agree/decide to try to agree about the rules here. it is what it is. i dont think its broke. i do trust the self moderation concept , i also trust our mods . i would rather talk about tai chi.......anyways. -

you sound more like a fairy godmother sprinkling pixel dust than a witch. none- the -less, it only takes one momentary lapse of reason and things get real ugly real fast. wars and rumors of wars... man is a warring creature. how did we get out the great depression? was it the new deal or was it ww2? how history finds a way to repeat itself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHDe7OzTFzU&oref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fresults%3Fsearch_query%3Ddogs%2Bof%2Bwar%26aq%3Df

i cant speak for scotty. but how hard would it have been to take your lump and go lick your wounds for 7 days and then come back? and maybe make your plea then? everytime the mods make any decision they are crticized. feedback is good. some choose to criticize, some choose to support the mods. mjjbeckers self moderation thread should be the standard. disapointingly it is not and mod action becomes necessary far too often here. that is not the mod's fault.
