2 or 3 years ago me and my mom witnessed something. we were getting ready to go out the front door and as we opened the door,,something we could faintly see came from the back of the house and down the entrance hall to exit the door. perfect timed. i thought it might be one of these guys but it says on this that they are not visable with the naked eyes. so idk. at the time mom said "that was weird " but she no longer will acknowledge it. especially in front of other family. http://www.subversiveelement.com/rods.html it was about 3 ' long and very agile.

Notes for review on Thursday night's study group
zerostao replied to ShaktiMama's topic in General Discussion
i especially like this one The main character of any living system is openness. -
i really like the part about a simple smile and serving in small ways. to me it is often the little things that are important in this life. with the degrees and stages thing, does it really have to be so measured and calculated? i like listening WITH my heart, i dont reckon i do it fully... but when the little heart strings get a pull or a tug i tend to react in a serving/trying to be helpful way. the best i can without considering what level i may be at. i generally trust my intuition in these matters. i dont feel i possess anything.

Organic Farming: The revolution of the future.
zerostao replied to Harmonious Emptiness's topic in General Discussion
it is great to see enthusiasm for gardening in the suburbs and cities. if ya wanna do the chicken coop thing, go for it your "massive farming on a half acre' went way over my head BUT i do agree most folks could find space to grow something. a garden on a half acre will produce alot for sure. so much that the skill of canning might be considered. for me gardening is a joy of itself. a man in his garden i do recommend obtaining some non hybrid seeds. my main focus is growing the herbs i like and the herbs others seem to find useful. i realize many folks dont have a large forest handy. but even if one grew the "kitchen herbs" they will be well served. and i have the good fortune to live around many experienced gardeners/farmers.(who find joy in giving away fresh produce to their neighbors) meat eaters might consider buying directly from the farmer. the 2 things i am picky about is water and dirt -
The answer lies in the India/Nepal/Tibet Himalaya Regions afterall.. and definitely NOT in china/taiwan..

wow I realized that in the title of this thread i even used the you word and even capitailed it. oh my anyways. i sat down today with my mom's golden retriever, his name is copper. and we had a long conversation about the ruthless truth. i told him i knew things. very important things in fact. i told him with a very straight and serious and intellectual face (well the best one i could come up with) somehow i was sensing that copper just wasnt getting it copper is a very polite doggie and he didnt insult me or laugh in my face , even if he did roll his eyes a time or 2. to be honest copper didnt express to me what he knew. (wouldnt confirm or deny the existence of santa or unicorns) i do think we were in agreement about bigfoot. his main remark was " doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd" yeah whatever, copper. in copper's favor, he does meditate more often than me. i think so anyways. dogs so i reckon i will go have this conversation with my neighbors cat. (who is much more talkative than copper) will let ya'll know how that goes. if only i can encounter a crow today. crows know things too. good things. one crow once told me "that if man had wings and black feathers, very few of them would be clever enuff to be a crow" being this came from a crow , i didnt take it as arrogant.

Simplicity and Effectiveness of a Form
zerostao replied to Simplicity Rules's topic in General Discussion
wu chi is simple and effective but i dont want it as my only practice. i think there needs to be a balance with the forms and meditation time. -

if we do not prioritize time, effort, energy, resources, income, ideas, and education to acquire a higher quality of life, our future isnt looking too good. -

consciousness is a hot topic on TTB. i feel both science and religion are faith based belief systems that fail to provide complete answers. i do appreciate their continued efforts to do so. have you shared your ideas about spiritual cultivation?
-
i like these subjects. are you going to share your ideas in regards to these 5? Marblehead made some good points the other day about my "all is one one is all" remarks in TTC chp 11. in regards to your 3 paradigms, i won't focus on what i object to (for now) i will try and stay where we have common ground. it does seem on a certain level , that you are looking at evolution differently now ? i have not visited your more recent threads(i do notice they get many views and comments) are you a seminary(or like) student ? the mention of priesthood is why i ask.

very nice. i think here we do have Lao Tzu himself recommending qigong/meditation for concentration, harmony, and purification. if we also look at Chaung Tzu: concentrate on the goal of meditation. do not listen with your ear but listen with your mind; not with your mind but with your breath. let hearing stop with your ear, let the mind stop with its images. breathing means to empty oneself and wait for the Tao. Tao abides only in emptiness. this emptiness is the fasting mind.... so here we have evidence that in the earliest Taoist teaching qigong is recommended to fortify meditation. however, chuang tzu also warns against mere exercise physical, breathing, and otherwise, without study and application of taoist philosophy.

Does the shaman initiate get beat up repeatedly?
zerostao replied to ejr1069's topic in General Discussion
it does seem there are folks who have a haunting fear that somewhere, somehow, someone is enjoying life. and for ejr, if you feel you are being called to shaman world that is a good sign. ignore detractors. continue to explore your own transformation.
