i agree teachers can and do visit in our sleep or meditation. also in some of the least expected places. my first response to this thread i mentioned about a couple of cardinals. they have been teaching me all week they are so bright (red) and their songs are very sweet. a very loud and clear whistle and in the case of the cardinal the female joins in with the whistling. this is a bit unusual among birds. (with most birds the females remain quiet and camoflauged) so, what have i learned or considered with my cardinals this week? well when i first noticed them they seemed very enamored with each other. landing on my front porch swing and nearly onto me. playfully they left the swing for my hedge. both whistling as they went. i consider their vitality and renewal at this time. with the female also whistling i consider the feminine intuition and creativity. they are friendly and happy. the whistling reminded me to listen to my inner voice and to whistle i dont see any drawbacks to having them around. they brighten up my yard and remind me to be cheerful and bright. they eat the seeds of weeds and injurious insects. so i also consider my diet and my own vitality. the bright red cardinal , how could i ever have missed these teachers? they nearly had to land on me for me to notice them. i hope they hang around , i know i have more to learn from them.

for me right now, the meaning of time is that in it the stages of growth can unfold in a clear sequence. thus the seasons & all living things change & alternate in their course.

thanks for the insight. i know you have heard/experienced? more about this than i have. it is a curious phenomena to be "posessed" by a "demon" that would benefit one during battle. imo it is to do with lineage. and shouldnt one's lineage come to arms when needed? there has also been up the idea on TTB that it is possible that we can "posess" the "demon" for our benefit.

maybe they are hanging out in Greenland? who knew?! i dont consider being close to birds or small animals as siddhis, yesterday i had a couple of cardinals land on my porch swing while i was sitting there. they stayed a moment and probably didnt even notice me there. it is springtime here after all and they flew together to my hedge. i think if you have a simple good vibe , non threatening, then animals come closer. some mornings while playing my taichi form i have had a small group of deer standing closeby there watching me. my taichi is not all that . i think the deer were just wondering what the heck i was doing. i am glad they didnt want to push hands i have heard that when the yogis came down from the mountains and stayed too long among the population that they did lose alot of their "powers". and i also feel that they may be where you don't expect them to be.

well when i returned back home and found my den/dojo in ruin. i was like dang but once i got over that. each day has had laughter. a happy laughter. each day i have also danced and even sang. you dont wanna hear that but if you saw me dance you might get a good laugh too. 3 bonfires this week and last night during that bonfire an 18 year old dude walked up from the darkness and said he had been trying to catch a goose by the creek and missed the goose but fell into the creek then he asked me for one of my beers and i laughed again nope it's my last one haha. i hope you bums have a great weekend i have some laughter to attend to...... some chores and baguazhang too it is just another wonderful day in the tao what an wonderous day this is. just imagine ,(you dont even have to imagine) we live in a world where we have access to HIGH level teachers and they usually answer your call or email they even LIKE to hear from you!!! sometimes i want to run up to someone, grab them and shout at them "Do you know about this?!"
