I agree about feeling the love. have you ever met some of those rare folks , where the light shining out of their eyes is just beautiful? I am sure the conversation will slip on over to the right side of the brain. generally speaking i look at that as the unconscious mind tho. it looks like we are still trying to define exactly what/where this thread's direction is. are we to look at a taoist conciousness?

Big Bang's Afterglow Fails Intergalactic 'Shadow' Test
zerostao replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
thanks for the clarification. we were in agreement on Thomas Kuhn, as i stated in my last post on that thread. i think i went awry in this instance while reading into your paragraph on teological arguments , so , for a bit more clarification, you are agreeing or dis-agreeing, that the universe is acting with human aspirations? or you were not adressing this at all? i respect your intelligence and knowledge and your view. each time it seems we are close to being on the exact same page so i look for a little more clarification is all. i just wanted to present Tiller into this thread. i didnt think you would mind or take it personal if i chose to do so, where i did. i would also like to put John Barrow and Paul Davies cosmological ideas into this discussion. -
Three critical issues in Taoist alchemy
zerostao replied to exorcist_1699's topic in Daoist Discussion
i dont see anyone being able to be able to pull off the high levels of taoist alchemy without teachers/helpers. -
yup, but please don't tell everyone that i got a good little tea hustle thing going on. another favorite is i walk into a tea house that sells bulk teas, act like i dont know anything(easy for me to pull off actually) go very slowly, looking slowly at all the different teas. just to the point of loitering even. then someone will come ask me , if they can help me. i am standing in front of green teas, or whites, and i say "do you have any pu erh tea?" they take me over to where the pu erh teas are, they open up a can for me to examine. i look at it, sniff it, take a small pinch and put into my gums. i have my best poker face on i just look at them like i don't get it. then i ask "you dont happen to have any pu erh tea already made do you?" if i am lucky, they will look at me and say "wait here just a moment, i think we do have some" while they have gone to get the tea, i have this big ol' southern grin on my face but i try to have it gone by the time they return with a nice cup of the tea they are personally sipping. i prefer the cakes actually. are you sure you don't need me to clean that pot out? it looks like it needs a good scraping to me
-
well, if you ever need a bum to clean your pot out for ya i will work for pu erh tea.

Howdy Aaron, i will also add that at one time i felt the collected (un)conscious was the tao i am not saying it isn't either, but i no longer "feel" that it is. or that is the complete answer. if i may ask, respectfully, about your view "rather the reason is that the collective conscious has created us, nothing more" i am not trying to be critical, as overall i like your opening post here, and i love the subject of this topic. but you have brought creation into it, so i would like to hear more about that. specifically how the collected conscious has created us. is this your opinion? or do we have other basis we can look at ?

in the meanwhile joeblast , you might enjoy looking at this, i know you like the solar stuff http://assets.cambridge.org/052182/1169/frontmatter/0521821169_frontmatter.pdf yeah i know it is just a teaser. but i did notice a bum around here(somewheres) that does seem to have insight about magnetic reconnection are you doing your daily? imo there is alot of evidence that does suggest a big bang, just sayin -
that is how i read it. i also think it is referring to qi and warning us not to rush the qi. we can lead water but it is hard to push water.
