i went thru a "bridge-burning' phase. mid to late 90's. And tommorow afternoon going back over to j& d watch some march madness, cookout.

i hate the expression "my bad" but in this case it is very appropiate for me to say, my bad. i totally misread Blasto's post. in fact we are more in agreement than not on this issue. i realize that would be hard for most to see due to my language skills. i also respect Blasto for not responding harshly to me. even if he would have been perfectly right to do so. as i take the one foot out of my mouth for my previous post , i will use the other foot to swiftly kick myself in the rear. Thanks also to lazy cloud for pointing out my mistake to me. and hopefully Blasto understands and accepts my apology.

Blasto the presumptous i presume? just a couple of things here, otherwise a really great post first i look at flawed research practices of human beings. are scientists presumed to be human beings? the world scientific community self undermines enough already, there is no need for outside crusaders. science TRIES to offer plausible explanations for events, things, phenomena,etc scientists do not speak in terms of this shall be this way and only this. uneducated idiots as opposed to what/ educated idiots? above may be debatable idk. but you mentioned thomas kuhn who himself mentions "we can never fully rely on full objectivity" in fact he suggests the opposite of what you suggests he suggests. he is more well known for his sociology and philosphy than of his physcis. further he says in his commensurabilty/incommesurbility concept that "there is no way in which one can compare them to each other in order to determine which is accurate" reductio ad absurdum his entire idea IS to shift the paradigm. so , is this just more new agey bullshit or wth ? reading a book and understanding a book/2 different things Blasto, tell me you posted this in jest , just curious if anyone out here knew any better or not? right? why do so many take SCIENCE so seriously? the scientists really don't.

this has awakened me to where i am taking that proverbial look in the mirror. how quickly everything can change. to consider what is or isnt really neccessary. what is or isnt important. if i look into the mirror i would hope i could see compassion and kindness hopefully not too much fear or grief if i have one wish now, it is for those who lost their lives in japan to now be in a better place.

i like these 2 bums as well. your listen/adhere/follow made me take a closer look and you list taijiquan as an interest.if i may ask, do you consider taijiquan to be taoist? i appreciate the avoidence of names and labels and so forth, but this thread is about what is or isnt taoist. i sense you have a good understanding of tao and taijiquan. that is why i asked.

doesn't have quite the same ring to it that way, but i guess some agents know best.

i wouldn't rule any of these out as being taoist text. these ideas,concepts, realities are explored and explained in these that i mentioned. and also elsewheres. presently i am looking at the nei-yeh and the jade emperor's mind seal, not sure if they are taoist texts either but i am diggin them.big time. the question i asked, then deleted needed to go to a different thread. oops.

Otis, i thought you might be a circle-walker/dancer think of baguazhang as a magical dance of vortexes played in physical poetry woven on the circle. i am interested to learn more of your dance?IMA circle walking.

i think i saw earlier where the I ching, the tai chi classics, and bagua poetry are not considered to be taoist texts. so , i guess i can't offer anything here.

cool thread, a couple of years ago, when i came back from the dead(literally). i went looking for some baguazhang and luckily stumbled into Chris Matsuo. initially i asked for snake bagua and vibrating palm sifu Chris (lao xie) is very generous with sharing knowledge. i have tai chi chuan and baguazhang brothers here locally,(playful bunch) some are 30+ year practioners. we all have learned something (gems and nuggets)from sifu Chris . my life is richer now than it was before i found baguazhang and lao xie.

i saw part one, was really cool. i have seen 3 movies this year with english sub titles and loved all 3. this one, also the girl with the dragon tatoo and taoist wizard.
