it was during meditation i had my visit. i still meditate , if i get another visit it is cool. if i dont i guess that is cool too. i am not going to try and call it out. however i am in training in 2 diferent baguazhang styles. one used to be involved in"esoteric" practices. but there was a split. and the group i am in with has abandoned those practices. they have stories of dragons coming up out of the ground around them while they were playing their baguazhang. they were freaked out & looked at it as demons. and changed up their practices to be more basic type of baguazhang just geared for combat. my teacher i can talk to about it , but it cannot be mentioned to his teacher, tho his teacher's teacher .. well that is a long story and dont know everything about it .....but the teacher i can talk to about it ,when i say i think these "demons" are just internal pschological creations. he disagrees and says they can be called fallen angels, whatever but leave alone. he says we he goes around his teacher there is a long gaze eye to eye to check and make sure no dragon is lurking hidden. my other baguazhang system is still practicing esoterically. and i have been told that in time i will be given a method for communication. along the way i will recieve empowerments from dragons. the interesting thing is , both groups are aware i am training both ways and it is cool with them.

there is certainly no confronation here.joe blast i always respect your posts on TTB. i am often wrong and never care if this is pointed out to me. 100% no, ok. how about 97%? if we are being practical. even the pro hybrid seeds folks freely admit that hybrid seed cannot be saved & new seed must be purchased for each planting. they also point to larger yileds, great uniformity, better color& so forth . so it can be more commercial. however this requires fertilsers, herbicides, pesticides, and MUCH more WATER than the natural seed required. do you think this use of these resources can be sustained? or could it collapse like all these other boondoggle ideas large corporations and our govt seem to force upon us. btw available drinking quality water is also being bought up by large corporations. i can understand how some folks might be a little concerned that their food and water supplies are being held by a very elite few. perhaps it is for the greater good of all mankind that this is so ?

the yin yang symbol is not actually the symbol for tai chi. as tai chi is the parent of yin & yang. it is however the symbol many people relate to tai chi. there is wuji . symbol being like an empty circle, then the taji symbol has a spiral coming from the center and then the yin yang symbol. you can see how the tai chi is moving into the yin yang

the snow here is very bright today january 21 is the day that the sun is closest to our earth. for us in the northen hemisphere we may have thought july 21 was that day. i wonder if the moon will look less bright on that day?

i think back to the 80's when "our" (usa) govt forced so many family farms into bankruptcy here in kentucky. to what end? "they" said small farms are not efficient enough, the large corporate ag model is better for the people . the battle has been going on since before those times. evryone should at least garden. even if you live in a city. convince your neighbors to do so as well.

when i say believe it is not as in a befief system. but that i just accept that some things are just they way that they are ,in my perception of it. i am happy to have any idea that i "believe " in to be shown otherwise to me, then i have learned something. i do not always wait for the scientfiic method to strongly support everything. i do "believe" also in intuition and some innate awareness. to entertain new ideas and thoughts i like very much.. in my neck of the woods there is an old expression "do not believe anything you hear and only half of what you see"..but observations, mine and others is basically what i go on. intrepretting correctly is the art.

also this master being yang jwing-ming i have much respect for. he is not my main dvd teacher. but i have some of his dvds and books.but the reason i reply here is. there is land adjacent to his retreat center in northern cali. up for sale now. he would be an interesting neighbor , i am sure. this retreat center is on my list of places to visit this year. redwoods oh yeah.

95% of the dvd's i have purchased. the creator of the dvd has been willing to take emails and phone calls from me to answer any questions. they are also willing to view video to make corrections. for me i like dvd's and books becoz i can rewind and re look at certain movement. when i am ready to practice, so is the dvd and book. alot of these guys also run workshops/seminars and you can visit them in person occasionally. there is alot to choose from out there. do your homework. i have a teacher i visit in person and also a main dvd teacher. they compliment each other nicely. i also sample other dvds just to compare. if i can get one new nugget out of a dvd i am ok with that. i am not ok to take decades for ability. unless you are talking master ability. for me every 3-6 months should be noticable progress. 2-3 years substantial progress.

so all of this chatter about the moon, motivated me to go out and do some circle walking midnitish. here in kentucky earlier this evening we were hit with a snow/sleet/ice mix. a very unique stepping experience for me. really cool. didnt walk as long as usual

blacksword, thankyou so much for these titles. i really liked my cheng manching 13 treatises of tai chi but to find a book on taiji art by Zhang san Feng would really be super cool. all shen gong books would be good to look at. i think Lu dongbin has sent you i like wasting my time reading classics, but to each their own, right?

inviting ben, kate, all my friends and any interested parties(did i say party?! ) seems like on a few threads i visit , chatter turns to dragons or now snakes, preying mantis' shamans spirit world ancient worlds and aliens the ufo kind. so today i was thinking do shamans interact with all types of spirit beings to include aliens? ben suggested the other day to show some courage and adress this. so, i will put aside my fear and not worry if i say sth here that seems ridiculous , i am willing to accept ridicule , whatever to get to a better understanding about this. i have heard of chinese dragons, european dragons, not so much about american dragons. i wonder if somehow my logo/avatar whatever its called. i also have these as patches like one on my blue jean jacket, anyways is it possible somehow it worked like a taliman and brought a dragon's attention? i really never believed in taliman's , which is odd coz i kinda believe in everything. maybe this is just my active imagination at play? anyways any thoughts ya'll?

Lu Kuan Yu there are widely available books by Mantak Chia and Yang Jwing-Ming. i am not so sure they go straight to the "cream" however they are easily understood.
