I felt like a moth in a chandelier—-all at once, there were lot’s of pretty choices and I didn’t know where to fly. not being known does not stop the truth from being true. richard Bach

Whoever may still be around. However, I’m not sure this forum or the internet will. Fragmented remnants of discussions on the way relegated to obscure historical footnotes may possibly be found, but those types of citations are often regarded as dubious by scholars.

Since we’re on the subject of presidents; Biden remains staunchly opposed to legalization. decades ago, I told everyone I smoked because of the pleasure the taste gave me. I smoked for the taste. if I tell you it tastes nicely green, well, that is highly subjective, isn’t it? can you get an idea of what I’m describing? I think it could be difficult. piney, fruity, sour, earthy, nutty, skunky, there is no shortage of descriptive words used to help one better understand the taste I’m describing. dabs, wax, shatter, I can say tastes like hash, they have a hashy taste...takes me back to my teenage years when I was stationed in eastern turkey defending the “free world” enlisted in the US Air Force. a few of my supervisors shared a credo; it is not alright to drink and drive, but it’s ok to fly high. Off into the wide blue yonder, even to fly beyond yonder. ah nostalgia this morning I have some flowers called wedding cake and some strawberry cough dabs. Perhaps, you can imagine the taste? I think I can help you out, it tastes like it always has, yes, the flavors may vary, but the essence remains the same, it is freedom I taste as I exhale and watch the cloud roll out from my lungs. Freedom has a very pleasurable taste IMO

Hm seems the cats have largely left Egypt. Two tomcats arrived last month, from where, no one knows. Tim ended up with a white long haired blue eyed cat and Jess got the yellow/orange tiger stripped one. Both seem mellow. there have been recent sightings of a black bobcat. I’ve never heard of such a thing.

This is just a guess, because it sounds very similar to something Chang Chung yuan would express. I do recommend the book; Creativity and Taoism: A Study of Chinese Philosophy, Art, and Poetry

I’d say the girl has a bright future ahead of her; not one of merely being a politician, rather one high up the corporate ladder. If she an flash an attractive smile, the sky is the limit.

I know right, how could poor folks not support democrats? its against their financial best interests, they say. rural poor folks who do not have public transportation options,, well I paid 1.37 a gallon of gas before Christmas and now it’s 2.41. I’m sure it’ll be 3$ or more by May. every tax increase to soak the rich gets passed on down, trickle down economics, causing the poor to pay increased prices across the board. the good news that minimum wage will be raised, doubled, that joy is lost when the the person holding a job making 8$ an hour no longer has a job when the increase goes into effect. those at the poverty line or half the poverty line, and those I know who make do on under a thousand a month, 700, 600, 500, or 400 a month, those who are truly poor, do not necessarily fare better under democrat led government.

They say 400, 000 Americans have fallen to this virus. Millions worldwide. loneliness does kill as you rightly point out @liminal_luke at what point is life worth living or not? those that draw the line between loneliness and solitude, like our dear @Marblehead was able to do, those that can do that paid heavy dues and is a testament to their unconquerable spirit. I am surrounded by more trees than there are stars in the skies, most of my neighbors literally chop wood and carry some water. I agree 100 about connectedness, cats, dogs, birds, all creatures are of great comfort to us and us to them when the trees line up. to a Daoist, I think, science can also be subjective. Subjective in that many possible outcomes exist and the daoist is able to navigate the dimensions skillfully

In my neck of the woods folks carry on their daily activities mostly like they always have. Maybe some elderly are left to their solitude, I find that sad. The past couple of days I’ve been visiting with a few folks I barely knew; couple or three day sleepover. sometimes, living as if you were dying, is the remedy. No fear.
