I never plug my school on here, unless asked. Tai Shang Men, Xiao Yao Pai. After initiation you inherit 4 Daoist skills. Most, 3-6 years later, pick up another 20 skills. Many years later, another 20 Daoist skills. Up the ladder, like Flyming, who initiated me, is able to do inter dimensional travel. At initiation, a Hu ha Shen is introduced. And instruction begins. Hu ha Shen visits me in this dimension, arriving from another. Ive not been trying to travel to that dimension myself. I think Flyming is 3rd ranking in the school. Im not sure, haven't asked, at what level one attains that skill. It takes an open mind, open heart, and Sincerity, to get through the initial gates. From there, it is up to the individual, and no guarantees. Edit> I am not a teacher of Xiao Yao Pai. I was initiated 8 years ago.

Like to mention this; now seems like a relative lull, yes, we have admin--admin that prefer a hands off style, except to keep this site up and running. Those who read these threads recognize clarity when they see it. They also see who hoisted themself up with their own, whatever apech called it! Nungali interprets cat language differently than I do. Yet, I appreciate what he has to say. If I err or forget something significant to an ongoing dialogue, punch me in the shoulder, please remove heavy rings first, but call my attention to it. That is what a true bum does. None of us have omniperspective. Edit to add--- just because we mods don't like to warn, give points, suspend, ban, does not mean that we won't.

I wish Original Dao the best. I am pulling for them to take root, establish themselves. There needs to be more than one or two options for folks interested in Daoist arts, any Spiritual matters, religious, philosophy, etc to be able to go. Different strokes for different folks. It takes time to establish a website like Original Dao. It seems the posting is slower paced than here, afterall TDB been around something like 15 years longer.

I do in the way that Sarte expressed in Nausea I will point out that the thick hide I possess, allows me to take criticisms aimed at me. It does not enable me to stand by quietly as others are insulted.

Never once have I ever told anyone they shouldn't criticize moderation. I certainly wasn't outraged. So why would I think you were referring to me being outraged when I haven't been outraged. Smoke screen? You are way off base, dude. Once more, and I wont give points for spamming. I didnt move that thread and I didn't lock it. I won't answer this again though. As far as your crticisms of my communications goes, noted. Its something I try and work on. Your memory of the thread and my memory of it vary widely. The 2 points I gave you were for spamming. Again, I am repeating myself, here. If you have new questions, I am willing to listen to those.

Expressing near outrage? I didnt think you were that bad. I haven't seen that thread since the last time you did. I did give you two "naughty points" for spamming, because you asked the same question another 5 times or so after it had been answered twice. Those points were temporary, have expired by now surely, if not lmk and I will remove them. There were no restrictions, warnings, anything applied towards you. At least not from me, and I'm pretty sure by any other mod either. Just a suggestion, not as a mod, but as a fellow bum, before you get worked up and about to express near outrage again, maybe dont get so worked up, damn, 2 naughty points aint worth stressing over. I did not say you did say that. Im speaking and modding in the present. At any rate, you made a good point and worthy of thought and reflection. And not to look to the past either, when I tried a similar short timeout and when that restriction I placed I removed, the bum I was trying to slow down ended up with a 30 day suspension. The suspension was what I was hoping to avoid. We try things, it's often trial and error. Something that worked once may not work again. I strive for consistency. If I have a high strike zone, I want to be consistent with it. On my previous time serving as a mod here, at one time I was a lone mod, I did everything to avoid banning anyone. On that, I have changed. Or at least the way I look at it has changed. I was trying to keep a bum here and not noticing the bums leaving silently because of a toxic, ridiculing, insulting, disrespectful bum, that i allowed to stay. To be clear, so there is no misunderstanding where I am as a mod, if I come to an opinion that any bum, despite perceived status, is ridiculing , insulting, disrespecting, belittling other members, i will err on the side of removing a disrespectful bum rather than lose more silent ones that were not engaging in dealing out insults or disrespect. That is my take on civil egalitarianism. Im open to criticism. My hides been thicker than a rhinos a long time. We can stay on the trail of maintaining respectful civilty, no insults. Or return to wild west, which do you think the overwhelming majority here prefers? I am in favor of transparency, I take full ownership of my actions. Im open to suggestions. And I have over a decade experience on this forum to draw from. I've made mod mistakes. And likely will again. Right now I'm calling high strikes. And I'm going to be consistent about it.

I dont think the owner, if you are referring to Earl Grey his. Ppj or Virtue, his threads, have access to the report box. Regardless, if reports of possible violations of forum rules are submitted, they will be reviewed and possibly acted on.

There are five active reports in today relating to those two threads. We are looking it over. The locks may very well be temporary. That is one possiblity. We will update you after we've reviewed it. A reminder, that insulting members is against forum rules. As far as criticism for the moderation, that's not an issue for me. If it helps, fire away!
