Big problem is Neoliberalism is not the left. 40 years of Neo Liberalism BS is why we have President Trump. After 40 years of Neo Liberalism and the good people of this nation have had enough. Lucky break for US that Trump is following through on campaign promises. Bernie would not have been able to push his agenda if he'd been elected president. Trump IS getting the work done.

From Da Liu's I Ching Coin Prediction "Today there are people who believe the use of coins to be less formal or spiritual than the use of yarrow stalks. This is not the case; there is a spirituality connected with both the coins themselves and the method of their use" (8).

I think that group is pretty much sold on Trump. Solid.

Wanted to reflect on this moment. And Trump may go with a Woman for his second Justice, we'll find out Monday. Someone who understands the 462 words that stand guard between the citizen and tyranny is Thomas Hardiman & it would be good to have a justice that is not Ivy League included.

The talent pool is deep; there are several excellent candidates for Trump's next SCOTUS nominee. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-meets-scotus-nominees-sources/story?id=56330233 Trump says he will hit a home run with his pick. He could do that with a few of these Justices. It isn't often that I get excited over a SCOTUS nominee. add> We need the 462 words that stand guard between citizen and tyranny restored to original.

Slow is fine; If my bagua is slow, it is still bagua. I have new delights. The same thing happens to me all the time. I can read something and assign meaning to it, read the same piece at a later time and find another meaning. When I gain experience my understanding moves. This is why some pieces of literature are repeatedly presented to students to sharpen their critical thinking skills. The classics of literature are classic because they are timeless and speak to the human condition. Rabelais, Cervantes, each read leads to higher understanding. At first, Rabelais may come off as crude in every way, and the reader turned off, missing out on a true renaissance Humanist, thoughtful, gentle and one who gives the very marrow of high truth to the diligent reader (uttered by a character that was a complete idiot). A student that read and having aced O'Connor, Poe, Faulkner in high school might struggle with it in grad school. If we're reading and analyzing poetry, well that is dealing with heady stuff and at the gate of metaphysical. Langauge is magical in that it lends itself to the receiver's contemplations and understanding. Sometimes it isn't even what the author chose to include rather what the author chose to leave out, like a Hemingway iceberg. You only see 10% and have to figure out the other 90%. I marvel over Frankenstein: A Modern Prometheus written by eighteen-year-old Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. It's easy to overthink some things too. Something written simply and straight forward can have multiple meanings. And that isn't even accounting for ambiguity. It's the same with Daoist classics; we see it all the time here on TDB. Countless new members arrive with the same message; they want Daoist skills and power, they expect to read the classics written by committed sincere lifelong experienced adepts and presto, the skills and powers can be theirs. Really though they are not even that, they come here expecting to ask for the most powerful system, because they don't have time for second best, and they expect some bum to hand it right to them. Like any of us even knows, well.... 99.9% of these newcomers don't hang out with us a month, take the time to read any of the old gold threads here, or try and get to know any of us. By golly, they know what they want, and they want it now when that doesn't go per their plan quickly enough they insult us by calling us fakes or whatever. They will never know what power is. And that's the way it should be, whether it should or shouldn't be, some might question. Regardless, that's the way it is. Luke, it's a journey, every step matters. Chew slowly and savor the taste. I can't tell anyone what sugar tastes like. Explore yourself.

That's an interesting piece on Canadian production, thanks for sharing. There was a movie released on my Dad's birthday in 1968, and the family went to the drive-in and watched The Devil's Brigade a film about Canadian special forces and American convicts forming a joint American-Canadian commando unit. I'm working from childhood memory here, but it seemed those Canadians were troublemakers causing all sorts of friction with the Americans during training. The Brits had Admiral Lord Mountbatten, and the Americans had Mark Clark. Spoiler alert if you haven't seen and wanted to watch do not open the spoiler. Those red berets looked magnificent on the big screen, and I told myself then, one day I would wear a military beret which I eventually did ten years later, it never really sat right on my head and every day was a bad hair day, but the things we do for country sometimes. When the pipes played Scotland the Brave, it made an impression too. Imagery and symbols and 1968. It even had a redneck from Kentucky in it, Paul Hornung, who typically started a barroom brawl. Go figure. I think the film had some success in The United Kingdom of Great Britain too. Nothing wrong with some occasional mild nostalgia.

Does it? Since you brought it up; when you were fighting Nazis on your own who was it you wanted to come to help out? Argentinians or Argentines? Columbians? Brazilians? Uruguayans? Canadians? Those mentioned are fine and all and have excellent soccer ball teams. Maybe Canadians are soccer ball challenged, and their Mounties are top notch, but there are so few of them. You wanted the guys that maybe ain't so great at soccer ball, eh? You wanted Americans to show up, and we did, eventually and handled bizness. The American Army toured Europe in those dark days and Americans rebuilt Europe after. I understand that some things have changed now like our automobiles look like they could've come from anywhere, Europe, Asia, Mexico. It's not quite the same as the ones that were built in Detroit and going down memory lane can lead to mild cases of nostalgia. If god forbid, you find yourself under darkening clouds, and it looks like you're in a for a tough go of it. And you can choose ONE ally to come help handle bizness. You want America, right?

You are a stubborn cat. That wiki article is titled Americas, with an s. America is sans s. Across the pond, in The United Kingdom of Great Britain, there is a bit of a tweeter, a Lord Mayor & First Citizen Magid Magid who has banned Trump from his city, Sheffield. I can see how you're confused. Ya'll like big long names and titles. That kingdom word is hideous and doesn't make sense-- you have a Queen. America is America; we do not require Great or any other superfluous words, we don't need the s you tried to sneak in on us. America. Lord Mayor & First Citizen Magid Magid, who needs his name in duplicate is missing out by avoiding Trump. Back to the main point, it isn't Great United America or Americas. I hope this clears that up for ya; America. We don't have a Trump Trump, we have Trump.

The Lefties lost a good one. Rust belt pro labor. He was not the type to back down. https://www.eurweb.com/2018/07/former-msnbc-host-and-progressive-ed-shultz-is-dead-at-64/ He lost his job at msnbc because he had tough questions for HRC.

The receiver of the message/signal/symbol always assigns meaning. Once the sender sends it---it's out of the senders hands.

I am delighted that you were able to find a meaning that is useful for you from the graphic.

I reckon it's hard to shake sardonic attitudes and energies. I am sorry you feel that way. Your choosing to close your mind and ignore half of your fellow countrymen and women. Your continued shaming tactic of implying that those on the right lack any level of human decency borders on pathetic and as a tactic, it is sadly weak. If I didn't care, I wouldn't bother to type this. Ain't no righties around my neck of the woods patting each other on the back. We're concerned and alarmed at the level of danger that is charging the atmosphere. Very sobering to say the least. I've missed the point entirely. If I had free will, I would smugly stay neutral, crawl in my cubby hole, and wait for the dust to settle. Chances are it's not going to work like that, and we will all be under the sway necessitated by antecedent events and conditions together with the laws of nature. Even the higher achieving Internal Alchemists will be at significant risk. When I read the classics or talked with teachers, never once was the question posed; was I a righty or lefty. You assume that compassion and decency are exclusive to the left? Give me a break.

Oh, Great Britain. I stand corrected on that part. Glad you're great. I like America's name just like it is, plain old simple America not Great America. Or Great United America, which would be an accurate descriptor, yet unnecessary.

I quoted Churchill on the Trump thread on the 4th of July. If we're to believe Tony Blair's recent statements, the UK, Britain, England, British Empire, ya'll got too many names for starters, be more like America, we have one name >>America. Oh Tony Blair is telling us that ya'll across the pond have turned into a bunch of nazis yourself, what gives? Nice win over Columbia btw, hope your happy, those Columbian players are now probably fearing for their life. Let England Shake

The green is like the best treatment for PTSD, it works so well in fact that if used beforehand you won't get PTSD to start with. There are studies that agree with what I typed above. There will also be a study or two that strongly disagrees because of Big Pharma Greed.

Not my promised post to this thread. I thought I'd craft it by the 4th, meaning I would have typed it all on the 4th. I do have the main thought and frame for it, so soon ya'll, soon. meanwhile, just a thought to share

I think anyone's influences on how they view "fighting" would depend on what neighborhood they were raised up in. Much of the middle class is likely influenced by Hollywood and professionals. I like the point thelerner made about once something has started it may never end and who knows what darkness will come of it. I imagine there are other places besides Hillbillyville where if something goes down, it is not the police that is called but family or trusted friends, or gang, etc. The potential for escalation should not be discounted. Rarely would there ever be anyone considered a "winner" after such an unfortunate event. If you live close to the tracks or on the other side of them you likely have influences that are not Hollywood that shape your view on "fighting."
