yes I can prove it quite easily. I exist physically, obviously my ancestors would have to have existed for me to exist at this moment. but none of my ancestors I'm claiming to be mythological sages lol, many chinese think they descend from the Yellow Emperor, doesn't mean he ever existed. i'm sure some people still think they descend from Zeus.. many scholars say that the author of dao de jing could've been multiple people, this is a bit different than Shakyamuni Buddha, who had direct disciples and started a monastic movement.. but even so, arguing about Shakyamuni's birthday is silly. and who cares anyway? calendars and time are just inventions of man. time doesn't exist.

SANTIAGO DOBLES'S SECRET CLUB Where I take all your money & you Learn nothing.

If in language instead of "I" we used "compounded experience, memories, and emotion, bodily perception, and consciousness changing every second" it would take a while to formulate a sentence wouldn't it? from one impermanent brain to another, i'm telling you what your problem is. don't get defensive, look into it. analyze it, see if its wrong or not. my credibility has nothing to do with whether or not its true or not -
or maybe its because the US has spent more money on military technology than any other country.. the US also has the best basketball players compared to other countries. No doubt because of capturing aliens who teach us the secret dynamics behind dribble and shoot.

SANTIAGO DOBLES'S SECRET CLUB Where I take all your money & you Learn nothing.

gold, i too find it hard to reconcile spirituality with money. the whole idea of teachings with conditions has bothered me, for some time. but money, in our society is energy. it has meaning, we give it that meaning. for my birthday i always tell my family to give me money, not a gift. of course I can say don't give me anything at all, but they really want to give me something, energy, and the best form of that energy is money, since some other gift would be something that I don't need. so likewise if you have a teacher and he is giving you teachings, to repay him in money is not wrong, but the conditions, thats a problem, i agree with you on that. to be forced to give..instead of asked. this makes many people uncomfortable. i think teachers should be more responsible, and not rely on their students for the basic needs of survival. this just isn't the old days anymore, and to commercialize spirituality (new age movement) is a mistake. leads to spiritual materialism and false view. about Kundalini issues, I also agree with you about that. I think meditating on emptiness and no-self are the cures for any Kundalini issues. all of these arise from grasping to an "I", whoever was having issues with Vipassana wasn't meditating with the proper view. Zen doesn't even mention this subtle phenomena and they do quite fine. so I also agree with you that whatever Santi taught him, was only a temporary fix, because the belief in a real self still exists. -
Semple talks about Kundalini activation and purification, i was a bit disappointed with his books because either Semple reached a low level of cultivation and stopped... or he just doesn't divulge much and only wants to focus on the low level

i have a friend thats a dogmatic materialist that clings to science like baptists cling to the "true word of God" (but he claims to be an athiest agnostic, whatever that means) and i've had discussions with him about the parallels between mysticism and quantum theory, he says that any parallel is "mere coincidence" because science is the only true investigation of reality. Thought, and especially direct empirical experience (it's just chemicals in the brain, duh) are not good methods of investigation. it's all myth, he says. and philosophy is in the same category. myth myth myth. go science! hail science! lol, it's funny how many pseudo intellectuals think that they achieved something 'great' and 'superior' by letting go of religion and embracing reason and rationality, but they unfortunately throw the baby out with the bath water. a quote from Einstein on this matter --

so even practitioners of Zen, a completely formless path, have to deal with elementals and other form beings?

yo Neuty what are your thoughts on Sagan's book Awakening the Third Eye? how does actually awakening the third eye fit into the spiritual path? having OBEs, clairvoyance, seeing energy and auras.. does it actually help or can it become a burden.. extra phenomena.. not necessary or a necessary path ,why awaken it? http://www.clairvision.org/ckb/ckbe/ckbc/f..._0000_0003.html i know you're into the Bardz and i read a little of IIH and it says that powers are only secondary to the goal, but according to bardz the powers are necessary to cultivate.

i'm not trying to get into any personal internet altercations, but goldheavydude.. you're not doing too well here. you write a lot,... a lot.. of nothing really, no substance, and attacking members left and right. you're very confrontational, know it all, arrogant, personality won't get too far here, and with people in general. i kn ow because I can be like that too. expect i try to shorten my words because most people won't read an essay saying one sentence. whats your purpose here? to set us straight? to show us what is right and what is wrong? whos good and whos bad? is that your purpose? are you sure you have the wisdom for that and the skillful means? i'm just confused as to what you want from this community. to learn? or just an ego boost?

wow, cool. congratulations on your success! if you want to achieve success in something, is desiring it enough? how do you manifest? imagine yourself in the future already having it? i want to try this.. there isn't anything imparticular that i desire... though except an interesting life with interesting people, but i guess my main thing is finding a really good teacher that is right for me and can lead me to my goal of true state of being. this being my desire, how would I go about manifesting it? how do you watch for signs that lead you towards that goal? i know that sitting and meditating in my room, visualizing me meeting my teacher, won't lead to a knock on my door. i know exactly what you mean. i have so many damn issues
-
hmmmm i see where you are coming from, but you can't expect people to completely go out of their way to help you, especially when your issues aren't seemingly that important. if you had a real issue, no doubt he would help you.. and not charge you for it. but if you're pestering him about whether or not his photo is photoshopped, what do you expect? i've had personal discussions with Mr Santi and found him to be of great help, and very nice. he won't caress your ego by explaining things to you in a fluffy voice when its really not that important. yes he charges but these are modern times, in the ancient times students took care of teachers.. these times teachers have mortgages to pay.

have you had actual consistent repeatable results?

how'd you guys deal with the 'fakeness' of Chinese social customs ? it seems so ritualistic... through my school i was invited to teach english for this business owner's daughter, i met the business owner Mr Liu and ended up being invited to a dinner party with him, his colleagues, and a teacher from my school who translated. a toast every 2 minutes saying how i'm part of the family now, if theres anything i need to go to him, kept repeating the same praises, there was no genuine conversation.. it was all ritualistic customs of praise and developing some sort of business-like relationship. he barely met me and was already saying i'm part of the family, wants me to hang out with his kids, wants to fund a trip to Tibet, go with his family on a trip to the United States, i was so taken aback and overwhelmed! lol, i was happy at first but then realized it was probably all show, and i doubt he meant any of it. it seems that its custom to invite people to do all these things but these invitations are not taken seriously as in the west. i dont know if I can deal with that, it just rubs me as very disingenuous. what do you guys think ?

they are definitely complimentary in my opinion. i think a lot of the issues that arise with strict Qi Gong practitioners are remedied by stillness meditation, and vice versa with strict stillness meditation (such as in your case) Qi Gong can help but really what it comes down to is that you're still hung up on the "I" and attaching to the body, i know that this seems so vague and hard to practice, especially when in the midst of a meditative breakdown, or whatever, but its true. you're not surrendering enough. surrender and keep positive (which Qi Gong can really help with ie. Inner Smile meditation) also diet is important, raw vegetables will solve many energetic complications. you could try juice fasting too for a couple days. these are all ideas that you can play around with if you want

i have an idea how about one of us gets enlightened, and then says whether a teacher is needed or not this just seems like speculative masturbation what do you guys think?
