try it! sounds interesting. edgar cayce apparently learned books by sleeping on them, or something like that. could be an urban legend though. either way, us normies aren't so gifted. though this might help.. i doubt that it will fully work as your main method, some conscious learning i imagine would be required. curious how it will turn out though

i think the biggest problem in the new age movement is the mixing of traditions. its like a soup of every spiritual tradition, completely over simplified, and there is a tendency of spiritual materialism (read the book by chogyam trungpa) collecting various doo-daa's like crystals and trinkets. but, even with these defects, i think the new age movement is beneficial and better than hopelessly clinging to scientific materialism

what do you guys think of Reiki Tummo? i randomly happened upon it, and it seems great, but i'd really like to hear opinions and experiences. http://www.padmacahaya.org/attainyoga.html http://www.padmacahaya.com/Rktummo/rktm10.html they say that its the best and fastest way to awakening. all the chakras are opened and the main emphasis is on the heart it seems to be very situated on "attunements" that you ahve to receive from other people via workshops. it seems very systematic http://www.padmacahaya.org/YogaCurriculum.html

http://awakeningtoreality.blogspot.com/200...experience.html found this very interesting as it presents the personal experiences of breaking through from ego to transpersonal witness to unity consciousness and then non-dual presence another great article on the same site, quotes from Ken Wilber on the distinction between Witness and Non-Dual http://awakeningtoreality.blogspot.com/200...ity-by-ken.html

yo fellas. i'm studying abroad this year. doing my first semester Aug 15- Dec 15- in Bangalore, India. .and will have time to travel for a month or two before I fly over to Nanjing, China to study at Nanjing University for the 2nd semester. Feb 8 - May 31st for those who traveled to either country, what were your thoughts? where do you suggest I travel to and must see? beautiful sights? historic places? any particular advice from experience? as for spiritual trips, while i'm interested in seeing the historic beautiful and cultural spots.. i'm moreso interested in spiritual places that hold value. any thoughts would be appreciated. for instance Bodhgaya in India where Buddha obtained enlightenment is a place I def must make pilgrimage to. Dharamsala would also be a place I'd particularly like to visit.. but its in north India and going there in December/January would be mighty cold wouldn't it? as for China, i don't particularly know about the spiritual places to go to

what a beautiful pic -
ok i'm thinkin the effects are too subtle for me, if there are anyway. been a week now, and nothin. i'm gonna return it. it doesn't look that great to keep as a necklace :] i ordered a pretty cool looking orgonite pendant from israel http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...N:IT&ih=012 i think its a nice looking necklace and i connect with amethyst which is in it. any spiritual benefits of orgonite are a plus, which is supposed to be convert negative chi to positive chi or "orgone", whatever. i just think it looks cool so for those thinking of getting a q-link, make sure the store has a money back guarantee and try it out. some have noticed positive effects, some haven't (like me). btw, i admit i am skeptical but i really did want to feel something, and really did want to have some positive experiences. i've never been one to fall for psychosomatic placebo effects.. so i just can't help but be disappointed

here's some info it's open to the public http://www.kundalinishaktipatayoga.net/6aug08.htm as I understand it, its a very powerful lineage. http://www.kundalinishaktipatayoga.net/siddhayoga.htm shaktipat is a transmission of awakening energy from a realized being.

yoyoyoyoyo I signed up for the deeksha shaktipat and was sent an email to also participate on the global trial, so my total meditation time was 6:00 to 6:40 my alarm went off at 5:45 and it was a real struggle to get outta bed.. i am NOT a morning person ahahh anyway, had a good meditation.. nothing special or strange to report. the usual issues about not being able to fully let go, too much mind going on, too much attachment to the body (jaw especially) except for one thing, i remember hearing a loud internal hissing, sort of like static. i focused on it and it got louder and i fell into a light trance until i was aroused by a loud GONG type sound internally, i heard something similar when Santiago sent me some shakti online so i think i'm able to internally hear when energy is received. didn't have any crazy experiences or kriyas, maybe time will tell the full effects
-
i think just meditating at the given time wherever you're at is enough. and to have the intent to receive and be open.

thank you

welllll ok i got it 3 days ago, and since then i've been really tired every day, especially today. i feel like i used to after smoking a lot of pot, very drained of energy. now i don't want to attribute this to the q-link because i thought q-link is supposed to give MORE energy not DRAIN it. i've also been doing holosync meditation almost everyday because finding a quiet moment is hard these past couple days so headphones helps. Hundun you mentioned in my energetic state that holosync could do a number on my nervous system, could tiredness be a result of that? what did you mean by that?

had a Q-Link on for the past 3 days. don't notice anything really. not even sure what to look for

Xeno, people don't take kindly to having their beliefs questioned.. these people like Scotty have invested much time, effort, and money to convince themselves that what they are doing is 'right' and 'legit' and that they will somehow benefit from it. to question that is to question the very foundation of their identity. what you're doing is indeed spiritual, but they aren't ready. let them play -

lol i too found that part amusing -
hi Teddy take some tai chi, yoga, or anything else spiritual classes. thats a good way to meet people and you'll know you'll have something in common. can also go out to parks, somewhere in nature, and be open and friendly to meet people. spark up a conversation, usually people in parks are somewhat mystical atleast in their connection to nature.

hehe good question! what is the key of all energy work, that even Glenn Morris said himself? what is the essence of the secret smile? positive intent. love. the essence of christian mysticism is love for God, so they are all set. energy work is not needed. love clears all blockages
