its your local time 6 is so earlyyyy i haven't been up that early since high school.. why dont they give out shaktipat at noon lol Satyalok this isn't the deeksha initiation, this is just the shaktipat so no guidelines are required here's a link to sign up for the deeksha initiation http://www.kundalinishaktipatayoga.net/deekshaform.htm its on the same day.. but i belive this transmission carries a stronger punch than the 'global trial' posted above. i'm still not sure if I should do deeksha because i have no intent of committing myself to this Guru fully, just looking for a boost

well aside from everything Scotty said.. i think the biggest drawback is that you're supporting the US Military Machine by becoming a slave to the politicians who push all the buttons. what if US decides to invade Iran because they are such a "threat"? doesn't matter if you disagree, you're going to be there killing people. KILLING. you have no choice, you're signing your life away.

dog shit is also the Dao, but that doens't mean you'll benefit from eating it. you have free will and intelligence, use it.

what are your goals witch? i found that chasing pleasure only reinforces the duality of pleasure and pain. why attach to pleasure when pain will knock you right back down? you will never be satisfied. my dog is a great example.. we spoiled him rotten and now all he lives for is food, hes never satisfied.. gobbles up all his food and always wants more. the only reason he ever jumps on your lap is if you have food. so you don't believe in any spiritual stuff i'm guessing? 'you' were a mere accident because of the laws of the universe, a combination of atoms and energy, an animal driven by impulse and desire just trying to be happy and survive. so..death must scare you. i found that chasing pleasure is only an avoidance of the inadequacy of the illusory ego. an inability to face the facts, get at the truth, and really figure out who you are in relation to this reality. i'm glad i never felt such orgasmic bliss.. i'd never want to move on.

My journey in follwing the book: "Multi-orgasmic man"
Sunya replied to TheSeeker's topic in General Discussion
you could.. yeah. sounds like energy overload, chill out whats the rush? maybe just balance yourself with some sitting meditation.. no "doing", just breath awareness of a mantra also try going barefoot and doing standing meditating on grass under trees. i'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction about balance grounding is what you need. so i recommend standing meditation and belly breathing. i prefer not to move energy around at all. -
Shamanism has been proven to be pure? what is pure? if by pure you mean truth.. then maybe. depends what you mean by truth. are the experiences true? yes, people have these experiences. is there something BEYOND the experiences? yes, so are they true? depends on what you're after. shamanism deals with third eye psychic stuff. not saying you won't learn from it, but if you're after non-dual truth you won't find it in shamanism. its very much all about archetypes such as Mother Earth and spirits of the plants, this can become a roadblock if you don't move beyond it. monotheism went beyond shamanism to suggest that there is only one reality, no separation. rarely will you ever find a Shaman who says that the spirit of a tree and his left shoe are of the same essence

kundalini is a process of purification, letting go of the past.. all the junk thats stored in the body. all the symptoms he listed show that to be true. Blind Owl, there's not much to be said. i know that you want to analyze this as much as possible and figure it out, but you won't. you will go to one teacher and he will say past lives.. you will go to another and he will say kundalini.. or something with your diet. everyone has their own opinion. all that you can do is follow the advice given, meditate (still the mind) with sitting practice, take up a standing practice if you want, also some energy practice is also good as a supplement such as tai-chi or qi-gong. learn to surrender and don't attach to whatever happens.. find a teacher that you connect with, study the paths and find one that you like. whether you like it or not, the journey is beginning for you.

indeed! any serious student of mysticism and perennial philosophy can attest to this. those that view a certain tradition as 'superior' just haven't really dug deep into other philosophies. this is being a fundamentalist.. this is being in the 'mythic' worldview of separation.. this is clinging to old habits and beliefs that only reinforce the egoistic illusion of superiority i too was ignorant for a while, thinking that East > West, until I studied christian mysticism and the works of saints such as St Teresa of Avila and St John of the Cross. also studied Sufism for a little bit, which is mystical Islam..tried to get into my Jewish roots a bit by studying Kabbalah, a bit overly complex to me but found much in common with everything else. the introduction in a kabbalah book I picked up in Tzfat, birthplace of kabbalah in Israel, by a very prominent Rabbi said that the wisdom of the ancient tibetan buddhists and that of qabala masters is identical. all the same, all the same. semantics... different fingers pointing to the moon. why get caught up on the finger? saying this finger is better than that finger? when the moon should be the real point of concentration

watch the movie Samsara, its about a monk who realizes that being celibate isn't the answer.. you have to experience samsara to truly understand it. but then a teaching comes to him "is it better to satisfy 1000 desires or conquer just one?" he was so enveloped in desire that it grew more and more, soon greed came upon him.. he even cheated on his wife. he becomes aware of this and truly realizes the meaning of the teachings through experience. that is why it is called the wheel of samsara, its a circle.. it never ends once you step inside of it. the desire is never quenched, the wheel never stops moving, the suffering never ends.

hey seth, welcome most here are interested in taoism but there are some very interested in kundalini tantric path such as myself. i received shaktipat initiation into a trika spanda shivaism path by Acharya Kedar, an american teacher, but i didn't like the way the ashram was run so went elsewhere, have found a teacher that is more approachable and better suited for my personality. her site is here, maybe you've heard of her she has lots of youtube videos http://www.guruswamig.com/ i'm also interested in taoism, buddhism, and basically any mystical tradition. i've recently been reading about christian mysticism.. not looking for a path, just broadening my view glad to see you're the same type of person, open minded. have you read Daughter of Fire by Irina Tweedie? long.. but interesting. a diary of training with a Sufi master. the basic theme is surrender. gnosticism nice.. but is it the new-age gnosticism that you studied by samuel an weor or something like that? some of his stuff is good.. but i don't like how he says tantric sex is necessary for awakening kundalini and enlightenment.. a bit silly really to say that its a requirement lol. but there was one person on this forum that actually argued to me that you can't awaken kundalini without having tantric sex with a female.

indeed all competition is based on duality.. so is capitalism... talking is dualistic as well. mememememmeme hahhaha but since 99.9999% of people live in duality, including myself, all of these things will continue until that changes. your picture reminds me of a scene from the movie Samsara, which i just saw and it was incredible.. "how do you stop a drop of water from drying up? by throwing it into the ocean"

how to open the third eye? don't know. the better question is, why do you want to
-
indeed looking for differences and viewing ones own chosen tradition as 'superior' is just the play of ego. superior? no. more applicable for you? sure! oh and did Lao tzu or Chuang Tzu ever speak of jing-qi-shen? not that i know of.. all of this is neo-taoist i believe. could be wrong on this.
-
no. not all traditions are just shamanic. by shamanic i mean purely psychic, doesn't go beyond that into non-duality. and why wouldn't you give credit? because theres no evidence for it as far as I know. speculation isn't evidence.
-
well what were u doing during that time? meditating? exercising?
-
prove it. gonna throw Atlantis in there? Bonpo is just a shamanic tradition, why do you give it so much credit when theres no evidence for it
-
indeed. Satan is a metaphor for the human ego. lust, greed, desire, jealousy. all that. when you seperate from God *your true nature*, Satan is born

makes me nervous to even think about psychedelics... reminds me of when i tripped on LSD and mushrooms.. did it a week apart, they released some really powerful emotions inside me. felt such terror and anxiety, face to face with my demons. until i let go it was hell.. but then when i let go, i felt such bliss. i did learn a lot from my experiences, but never want to feel that overwhelming terror and anxiety ever again, would rather take things slow and let the subconscious purging happen naturally through meditation. if you're not ready drugs can open you wide up and you may not like what you see.. i sure didnt. did i mention that I took those drugs with an already awakened Kundalini? and while receiving long distance shaktipat? yeah.. im a risk taker.. hahah. oh well we all make mistakes

hi everyone, glad to be back on this forum with so many curious and open seekers.. and hello Santiago, i believe I emailed you or Tao a year ago to confirm Glenn's passing.. he was my first teacher.. path notes really opened me up to the possibilities of Kundalini and the amazing experiences following the major point i'd like to address with anyone reading is what Glenn said here this is, in my opinion, what many people are missing. i was too, lost in phenomena for a while.. interested in out of body astral happenings, energy work, even tried kunlun for 3 months. but it wasn't until i met my teacher that i realized what all this is... further trappings of the ego.. another layer of maya (illusion) if you are really seeking truth.. i urge you not to get caught up in any of this. it only reinforces the illusion of who you are. many of you here realize that you are not the physical body, but you are not the energy body either, nor are you the soul.. or whatever else may be at your locality. in essence, you are God, everything. NON DUALITY (the Tao or Shiva or Christ Consciousness or Kingdom of Heaven or nirvana..trying to be multi cultural here) is the truth that must be embraced. Kundalini (shakti) is the teacher that guides us to this realization by pulling out the rug underneath our false feet and making us constantly ask the question What is truth.. Who am I? Is there an I? doing energy work and wanting to be healthy is fine.. but has nothing to do with truth. there is the illusion that energy work clears blockages which is necessary for spiritual evolution. blockages are subconscious fears and habits that must be addressed. the best and fastest way to progress is to surrender and not associate with the body, mind, or emotions. awakening kundalini is great, but that is just the first step. having a momentary glimpse is awesome.. but not the end. Santiago you said earlier that there is no end, i disagree. the ego doesn't want an end.. because the only end is the end of the false self (ego) and that is the only way to realize truth.. surrender fully. many people get caught up in psychic and subtle phenomena, believing that this is the end. they can heal people, teach them, have great experiences.. but this isn't the end. the end is the end of you (who you think you are) Santiago, you also said that if the kundalini isn't there you die.. how can this be? the body may die, but how can you die? there is no you.. lol. you studied Buddhism and Hinduism, you must have learned about no-self in Buddhism.. and Shiva/Shakti in hinduism. Shiva being consciousness (formless) and Shakti form. very similiar to Dzogchen which has the primordial nature or being without any form. i highly suggest the author Jed McKenna and his books Enlightenment the Damndest thing and Spiritually incorrect enlightenment.. these books made me really ANGRY and CONFUSED for months after reading them because Mckenna pretty much says 99% of spirituality is bullshit and not truth. How can this be? well, its true. further trappings of the ego. if you'd like the books, very longwinded post, i apoligize.. but have been scouring this forum today and feel that there are many eager seekers falling into ego trappings here mikael

i'm terrified as hell of the next step.. i guess i'm getting close. beautiful poems, yet scary at the same time. i never signed up for self-suicide.. i thought enlightenment was all bliss and happiness.. now i find out that there's no real me here.. fuck!
