i think the point of the dan tien isn't just to store chi, but to convert jing, sexual energy, into chi, life energy. this isn't the end of the line though, the chi is then converted to shen, spiritual energy, in the middle dan tien in the heart. this is alchemy.

glad you liked it kat alan watts! his metaphors are the best

i'm glad that the practice is working so well for you. you said you've been doing this for 12 years, what have you tried and with what success? mikael

relax, i only joke! anyway, i think Kunlun is a good practice. water? no, atleast not for level 1. but I personally see nothing wrong with fire. the "cool down" part could provide sufficient grounding.. but if not then further grounding techniques should be implemented. i got the book, but... i agree with Cameron that it needs to be refined. Mantra told me they are rewriting the book so I look forward to that.

good luck i hope you win.

i can now see why you were so attracted to Kunlun in the first place. fast results, fast enlightenment eh? a little obsessive are we. why the rush? do you expect a medal ceremony at the end?
-
can't kunlun be combined with some water methods to balance out?

i have his Out of your Mind series, its incredible. did anyone read that article I posted?

interesting experiences, thanks for sharing. i am interested in spring forest, i got level 1 audiobook and video. will be trying soon.

xeno, what's with the hostility? you seem very angry, i think you should start with some simple belly breathing before thinking about Kunlun, or any enlightenment practice.

thank you for posting that video, i loved it

can you please explain the focus and importance of the dan tien? i study and practice yoga, where the main practice is bringing the energy up the spine to the head.. but watching the video you made, it seems to be the complete opposite, bringing the energy down to the navel. why is that? are these 2 system contradictory?

i've felt that too i think.. it felt like a thin cool worm slithering out of my ass, haha. very strange sensation.

learning from spirits? sounds like shamanistic practices of traveling to the lower and upper worlds to gain power animals or spirit guides through the journeying process (which i believe is the same as astral travel) i've always wondered through whether or not these power animals, spirit guides, teachers are just manifestations of the sub conscious. how do you know they are separate from you?

i've been seeking like yourself for a while and know how frustrating it is with all the initiations and charging of money. i found Advanced Yoga Practices to be the best system out there because it combines advanced practices that you'd normally pay for into an easy to read site. its all free and theres a forum with many smart experienced people. http://www.aypsite.org There are also tantra lessons on there which I think you should definetely check out, sexual energy is very important in cultivation, so learning to use the sexual energy for your benefit instead of wasting it is very important. i'm going to experiment with Kunlun, i ordered the book, although it says that a transmission is required i don't think thats true. transmissions just speed you up but a couple of months of intense practice will make up for it. theres also a lot of interesting things to pick up from chi gung and daoist practices. 'standing like a tree' for example is a great exercise. i personally have taken things from yoga, daoism, Robert Bruce's NEW system (www.astraldynamics.com). i think that you should research different methods and pick out what works for you, some say mixing practices is bad but i disagree. there's only one human energy body and different things work for different people.

i'm new to daoist alchemy, i'm mainly familiar with the hindu perspective. i hope one of you knowledable folks can enlighten me on this. in the beginning i see that lower dan tien work is stressed, where jing is produced, right? so there is jing, chi, and shen. corresponding to each dan tien? so how does one take the jing energy and convert that into chi, and then chi into shen. is it a conscious process?

thanks for the reply stevejon, your experience was very interesting to read. I'm glad that the system really worked for you. and about the AYP recommendation, i already practice it what is so special about RT though I don't get it? aside from the energy attunements, the teachings can't be that radical from yoga, taoist, or dzogchen teachings. you said you studied for 30 years and then had all these breakthroughs, was it the knowledge you gained? or was it through the energy attunements btw, how much do seminars usually cost?

http://biologyofkundalini.com best site out there on the topic, if you have a specific issue you'd like to talk about i can try to help

i just don't understand why you have to pay to advance 'spiritually' in this program. its all broken down systematically and you ahve to pay for every attunement or lesson. i don't like how that works at all

do you have personal experience with Reiki Tummo? or are you speaking strictly from information off their site? read this http://www.padmacahaya.com/GrandMaster.html doesn't seem legit at all to me
