  1. Thanks Mal, I hadn't thought of this, but why not? - I will certainly look into it :-) Best regards, -matt

Hi YM, Thanks for posting this very interesting material. I am also keen on learning more. Best regards, -matt
  3. Leading Qi to the teeth

All: thanks for your encouraging posts and advice! I'll continue my research on this topic: The irritation which I reported in my initial post from the gum through the palate is almost gone now, so I will probably soon continue with more of experiment 2. I will let you know how it goes (i.e. if I dream up a new experiment or once I have been to the dentist next time and convey her verdict). Yes, it's a great (and long ) thread - I did consider posting there too, but I felt that the discussion had gotten very much into what kind of formula to apply to the teeth rather than methods of using intent and qi which is what I am trying to investigate.
  4. good meridian diagrams

Hi Ronko, I spent quite some time looking for the same as you do now without finding anything detailed enough (usually it's body outline plus meridian). This said, I find the resources on this page quite useful and easy to print: http://www.acucentre.com.au/theory.html (click each of the twelve and eight extraordinary meridian tables for a description as well as meridian chart for each) In addition to a printed simpler version, I find the following a very practical resource for locating a particular acupoint: http://www.acuxo.com/meridianPictures.asp?point=CV1&meridian=Conception%20Vessel Best regards, -matt
  5. Hi Everybody, My interest for practicing comes mainly from Qigong and IMAs (I practise Xingyiquan since about 4 months and intend to move to Baguazhang shortly). Apart from finding that the teachings of the Dao appeal to my intuition since early childhood, and although I never heard of it's name till the age of 36 (my current age for another few months) I have recently started my journey of learning 'the way'. My to-do list is long, but here's a list of intermediate goals: * I would like to learn how meditate myself into other planes (I read a few things about it, practiced a bit, but can't really seem to get myself to let go of the physical plane). * I have started trying to heal myself for various ailments (including a severely clogged up bile duct which is now completely back to normal :-), but I want to broaden my understanding to also be able to heal more profound things, such as allergies etc. in myself and perhaps with time, others. * One thing that really intrigues me is the possibility to be able to see auras - I would really, really like to be able to do that, but again, from what I read I need more patience and perseverance to even stand a chance. Thus, any advice for how to get closer to attaining any of the above goals (or enlightened immortality, now that we're at it :-)))) will be greatly appreciated. Similarly, if anybody is interested in hearing about my alternative to ERCP procedure for treating a clogged-up bile duct, let me know! Greetings from Munich, -matt

Hi Aria, Thanks for the warm welcome. I had my gall bladder removed about a year ago. Following that my GP monitored my liver counts which remained high. Eventually, that led to me having a hepatologist (liver specialist) perform a detailed scan using ultrasound. It showed that my common bile duct (which must remain in place even after gall bladder removal) was full of sludge and billary stones adherent to the walls. Getting rid of this is what I cured myself for. Let it be clear that I am no medical doctor, but IMHO the problem with typical gall stones in the gall bladder is that they can get so big that there is no way they would make it through the common bile duct - thus, the danger, so to say, is that if the gall bladder starts to get rid of a large gall stone which then gets stuck and effectively blocks the flow of bile (through the common bile duct) this can lead to serious conditions and even death. My condition led me to looking into alternatives, thus what I know today I didn't know before I had my gall bladder removed. If you ask me whether I would have had my gall bladder removed in hindsight, the answer is that I don't know. But what I do know is that I would have done some things differently: Before agree to the next step, I would have wanted to request a full, detailed scan of the liver, gall bladder and ducts to rule out other possibilities, such as e.g. a clogged up (common) bile duct. Finally, you may find it interesting that several doctors told me that gall stones and sludge is not only a matter of diet. Diet plays a role, and as you point out, fatty foods tell your brain to tell the liver to produce more bile, but the actual congestion (i.e. clogging up, formation of stones and adherence too the walls of ducts) may well be genetic. Best regards and wishing you all the best, -matt

Well, it's not a secret any more, but it can also not be explained in just a few lines - I posted my experiential cure here: http://www.justalittleqi.com/choledocholithiasis-manual-fix.html In ultra-short summary, I treated myself based on my own research, again based on TCM findings (new and old) combined with meditation (for sensing when Sphincter of Oddi* opens and closes) and last, but not least, combined with massaging on top of the bile duct, effectively squeezing out the biliary sludge which was adhering to the walls of the duct. I hope you may find it interesting. All the best, -matt Notes * To potentially save you from having to research the anatomy of Sphincter of Oddi, I can tell you that is name of the gate between the common bile duct and the duodenum, the duodenum being the internal pipe which connects the stomach the small intestine.
