Not baguazhang but dancing... something that feels funky and natural. This came on the radididio and as I danced I thought that this was just natural, not something I had to study and I realized I was compressing and playing and releasing! Steppin' !

Neat! I had been pondering this today as my best healing sleep occurs around 10AM on my back. I had gone back to my TCM books last month to see any correspondences. A while back I had read somewhere that any sleep prior to midnight will be better than post midnight My wife and I had an opportunity to nap around 9-11 PM yesterday and again that sinking relaxing deep rest had occurred which got me thinking again about the 12 hour similarities. Great topic for study as a fascination always makes for better study

William C. C. Chen cool! Found out about William through a Robert Chuckrow book on Tai Chi. This will be a nice contrast to the triangle pump taught by Master Lam Kam-Chuen and the nine points method taught by Eric Yudelove. Thanks for sharing this!

HOW TO OVERCOME ALIENS ARCHONS AND THE PHYSICAL PRISON
sifusufi replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in The Rabbit Hole
That is a lot of information to chew on my friend. Thank you as I will be snacking on it from time to time. It did have overtones of Danny Carey's web page in structure and content. Cool! -
From the Taoist literature I have read I gather that smiling into the eyes and organs will cause a sweety vibe. I really should be working on this you know. Sweet dreams!

Caught this at the end of the 3rd episode of O Povo Brasileiro. At 23:33 Gilberto Gil plays a most magical version of Babá Alapalá I hope you enjoy this at least half as much as I do! http://video.google....72896964297501# I guess I should say fast forward to the song (please). You may end up watching the whole series like me! This one is in a lower key 33? years previous

I noticed that yesterday. Couldn't pull the site up for a while. For the best though as I have been a bit obsessive as of late. Glad you were not referring to the activity on TTB Blessings all, Robert

So this is appearing to be more congruent with what Pavel Tsatsouline, Bob Cooley, and Dara Torres are working. Yes? Thanks everyone

I have read Bruce Frantzis The Power of Internal Martial Arts and Chi and have studied on this video. Other than that Zhan Zhaung is where I left off. I believe this is an instance where a live instructor is necessary. Obrigado de Chicago

See above I bought this DVD a few years back, beautiful!

I remember watching a documentary on Vodun a while back and some cat was waxing poetic on how jazz came out of voodoo! Chew on that for a minute. A cool idea would be to start in New Orleans and trace back through the caribbean back to the Ivory Coast or vice versa

External Meditation vs Internal Meditation
sifusufi replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
My best would be... External = Focus eyes open or partially on a crystal ball, candle, tree. Internal = Taoist five colour alchemy where the Organs are focused on with their appropriate colour visualized. Interesting! Thanks for throwin' this out here -
I will give two examples of what I truely believe are fine examples of male and female confidence. Mojo if you will I reply here, however these are applicable to some other confidence posts that have been floatin' round here the past 24 hours or so. I believe if we can get past self consciousness, be honest, and be 100% sober without and self delusions, and not fear calling people on their bullshit, the initial strength to be "strong" will indeed have some forward momentum. This woman 120% believes in herself period. I discovered these yesterday searching for Mark Whitfield videos. He did a concert for PBS in 1990 or so and I am confident I will find it! (dammit)

Passionate about the music and history of the art and have read much as well. Still trying to perfect my Ginga and esquiva. I will find a Meistre soon.

My passion for Afro-Cuban percussion has given me a never ending history lesson! So much, so vast. The discovery is never ending. I am not qualified to recommend and specific books as Africa is large! The Yoruba and the Orishas may be a good launching point, or the Palo. This may live more vibrantly in the Caribbean or Bahia through syncretism. Then you have the more Islam based and Egyptian schools to the North. I believe we are more than likely searching for something out of the Congo or Nigeria. Then there is the Branford Keeney stuff. It will be interesting to see this post develop. Thank you for the post I am somewhere between the Bata drum and Capoeira

Thanks, just have to share this! http://books.google....r%20why&f=false Bound to raise a smile for sure! -
Deep thanks for all the input everyone! Personally speaking I did demonstrate while my Zhan Zhaung practice was in gear was charsima and a high level of self confidence similar to pumping iron. So with compression... would sealing up the area located near the hui yin, holding the breath and forcing visualized energy into an area qualify as compression?
-
While searching for techniques and answers regarding compression I stumbled upon this post that has been idle since 09 November 2004 - 08:17 PM. So have a go!

I gave some thought to this by way of osmosis and heat transfer Or when is the presence of one with a greater energy, given the right circumstances, there could be an exchange similar to the way an atom oxidizes or reduces. Think about the heat that was felt the last time an attraction occurred with someone. What was it? A light in their eyes? The way they carried themselves? The way they threw a shape? Did they have an attribute you desired? hmm...

I am super intrigued about Red Phoenix! -
I remember Jack being into juicing. When I lived in Phoenix I was introduced to someone he had known and trained with. He looked good, not only in shape but young for his age. After all that's what we signed up for right? Rock on Jack! Thanks for the post Trunk
