Pages 114-116 of Taoist Yoga has been the technique par excellence. As I have a weakness to accumulate info, books, tapes, etc, this is the one that I always come back to in my weakest hour. The arthritis sleep formula I am currently using contains melatonin. In the past (1996) I tried it with limited success, valerian root worked, for relaxation anyway. With the melatonin It either worked or I would have a fitful toss and turn fest (why don't I ever read or exercise when this happens still confounds me). I also noticed my complexion was more pale, nowadays as well. Now that tryptophan is legal again I will use it on occasion when I must sleep. Again it will work amazingly well, or not.
