  1. Hi 5E This is exactly what I was trying to say when I wrote in my 3rd message : "He (Badogue) couldn't guess by himself what he didn't know when nothing in the books gave him any hint to do so." And on the other hand - and this is what Badogue recognized himself- he has his own responsability (note that I say "responsability" and not "fault") in what occured: he should have listen to his own body etc.. My main concern was to avoid any "1 or 0" type of judgment and I got the impression that the intention of the thread could lead to this. That was the reason why I posted. In my opinion, there is no such thing as a one side only responsability. I understand your calling for sensitivity towards Badogue's case, and I am just happy to see he chose to tell us a little more about his experience. Thank you for your apologies, there was no real harm though, this is part of any conversation when feelings are involved. neiye
  2. Hi 5E: you wrote: I did not blamed Badogue for getting sick. Please read again the part of my message about the car: I wrote that blaming the car for having an accident is not fair if the cause of the accident is the lack of knowledge, or the lack of information about the risks when this information should have been given by the people entitled to do so.It could be that the car is defective, but until it is proven, we have to investigate before running into wrong conclusions. And saying that I have not an hidden agenda. If some people have used these methods without being hurt, we have to really investigate where things can go wrong. Saying that the methods are bad is IMO jumping quickly to conclusions before really understanding why some people are hurt , and others aren't. For me it is just reasonable. And it doesn't mean that people should not avoid practicing these methods in the meantime. So it doesn't mean that badogue is to be blamed. He couldn't guess by himself what he didn't know when nothing in the books gave him any hint to do so. I imagine that badogue was trying to overcome PE by using Chia's method. It is understandable, and as I said (1st line of my 1st message) I am sorry to hear about his bad experience. Please also re read the series of facts I pointed: you will find that M.Chia/ghoswriters are responsible for not warning people about the preliminaries practices needed before running into sexual methods. neiye
  3. Hi 5E, English is not my first language either, so I have myself some problems for explaining my thinking in a proper way. But it was not the point of my previous message to emphasize his english wording. If you read again the thread, Badogue is clearly not open to explain his own experience, and shows it in an unfriendly manner to people who are mostly ready to help him. So people have reflected back to him his behavior by commenting his repressed anger and so on.. Some very useful and constructive answers (indirectly sometimes) have already been given to him, in another thread about ejaculation frequency. I am not practicing Chia's method. So I am not trying to defend it, and I am not eager to do it because I am not legit to do so. From what I see here, some people had bad experiences and others didn't. Saying that is not defending Chia's methods, nor diminishing either the value of Badogue's bad experience. My point was just that: to help and to be helped, it may be better to SHARE in an open and clear way instead of having a kind of paranoid attitude blaming people for misreading him when they ask for details. A web forum lives only with words, no living presence. A silent suffering can't be soothed in anyway like you would by just staying by and offering your presence to someone who suffers. The few words he used in this thread didn't helped much to understand what is exactly his situation even if the general content of his message was obvious. Asking for details or context or background is nothing more than asking for deatils, context, background. Without them, his message stands on itself and has a poor value for others who may want to help or discuss So I am quite sorry if my message is seen as a personal attack. neiye
  4. Practice here and now

Hi Durkhrod Chogori, Thanks for your very interesting quote. Please allow me to add my two cents here: Cultivation requires indeed mindfulness and presence but I think there is a trick in the way the traditional teachings of the East have been received in the West. The West is no longer a traditional world: people here think in a very individualistic way. They are in search of self development, self improvement, self care, personal powers and take the traditional teachings as means to their individualistic and egoistic goals. This appears as a complete misinterpretation of them. Traditional teachings don't aim at developing the ego, specially a "spiritual" one. And in another way, some sincere Western seekers tend to have a romantic, simplified and idealized view of what cultivation leads to. There are now numerous examples of how a life of cultivation doesn't necessarily blow away all mental or cultural conditionings ( HH XIV Dalai Lama acknowledged it for eg when it came to the question of women being abused by spiritual leaders in Tibetan buddhism). The integration of the Absolute in the relative may be more complex than what we think. There is indeed no shortcuts in spiritual matters. Be well, neiye

  6. Stripping The Gurus

Hi Apepch7, Just my two little cents on it: -1st cent: Chosing to be malicious for no other reason than the possibility of it is the experience of freedom itself. Sometimes teens are doing that just to see how it feels when they go beyond the limits parents/society imposed. I would say that evil is ignorance of a better way to express and fullfill needs. -2nd cent: qi flow quality affects emotions and as RyanO states it, when imbalance occurs, one is more prone to have destructive behavior (towards oneself or any other). This is what I observed on myself when I compared my behavior before committing to a daily qigong practice (zhan zhuang )and some few weeks after. I was desperatly trying everything for years in terms of ethics, self-help books etc..and it simply occured naturally, with more qi and a better qi flow. Of course, I am tremendously far from being a perfect person, but I can say without any sort of pride that there is less anger, more tolerance etc..in me. In this case evil is also due to unfullfilled needs, but more in an energetic sense as TCM would diagnose it ("organs" produce emotions ). Best qi Neiye

  8. Zhan Zhuang Qigong

Wow, you have a very rich practice program! I agree with you about body mechanics. I did some yoga for 2-3 years ten years ago and I must admit that my body stored some very good feelings from it in terms of easing the joints, sensations of strengh and supleness. A few days ago, I was even considering going back to it. I learnt a lot with Zen practice (3 years), it gave me some taste of cultivating Shen. I don't know much about KAP and Kunlun... Thanks for talking freely about your pratices. Best qi, Neiye

Hi Pero, From what I understand, grammatical quibbles is a way of putting the emphasis on language matters instead of dealing with the real issue which is outside the language realm. Derrida was a French philosopher very popular among some North American's intellectuals because he gave them intellectual tool ( named "deconstruction") for thinking out of the box and going beyond conceptual/language oppositions. But the irony is that he was himself very very abstract and complicated in his writings. Hope it helps, Neiye

Hi Markern, Well, it is not so much that I don't have the time, but there is so much different practices available... I tried other practices leaving aside ZZ to compare the effects. So my conclusion is that zz should be a core practice (grounding, energezing etc...) I have to find some other practices I can trust. I have just sign in taobums and I have seen that some people around here have strong feelings toward some practices/teachers I have very recently received MESY books,I will try.I am clearly lurking around HT based practices. If you have some tips I am willing to listen with an open mind Anyway, thank you for the inner smile reminder, Best, Neiye
  16. Zhan Zhuang Qigong

Hi Mal, I've been praticing Zhan Zhuang since august 2009. Before that, I had been quite ill. I was supposed to be cured in sping 2009, but I was very tired, and even after 3 weeks of vacation, I was still tired. So I began zhan zhuang following Lam Kam chuen book The way of energy. After 3 weeks, I no longer felt tired. 2 months later, I felt I had again the energy that was missing for 5 years (since my child was born). :) I always wonder if I should do some other taoist practices. But each time I did something different than zhan zhuang and leaving my zhan zhuang practice apart ( for a few days), I felt my energy cultivation dropping down. So I guess zhan zhuang has something special. So at no cost I would stop it. As for adding something else, I am still searching. Best qi, Neiye
