Have you guys ever been to the mall and see all the people jumping from store to store. Checking all the stuff they don't need untill they find one they REALLY don't need and then buy it. and they're so happy and busy/distracted while doing this, always smiling and laughing and praising all the precious valuables around these stores... They value it so much that every store hus a bum in front of it with a sad and depressed face playing some guitar with frozen hands for 10 years in the same position and they don't even bother thanking all the people who throw a little money anymore. Infact these bums fall asleep on their own music instruments, lol. Even the bums get brainwashed and begin addopting the contagious perspective of these accumulators that all the excess is valuable. When everyone around you believes A and you believe B, over time you automaticly begin believing B as a simple process of addaptation to the environment. It is unconscious. And so the bums become one of them and no longer feel contented as a bum, they addopted the desires of these people who give money only because they believe that being a bum must be sad. Every penny is a contribution to the believe that the bum is sad and depressed, so he actually does become sad and depressed. They try to see the beauty in nature, try to be fed at natures breast, but nature is no longer present in such a mall. Not even a single tree. This is the worst kind of bum you can become, the kind that wanders in cities among the rats. Do you know other kind of bums, and what do you think of bums.

Keep Getting Horny During Meditation :(

I think the egg came first, think he's having trouble letting that one go. So have a look at those 2 big round eggs, jumping up and down, and imagine that they are the 2 round eggs of your biology class with all the insides and mechanics that come into play. This gives you a new perspective, you can always go back to the original impulsive perspective of sexually active eggs easily. -
Actually, every post need ALOT more editting. Infact, if we would edit our posts atleast once per day, 6 months in a row before posting it, it would be heaven on Tao Bums. Also, sometimes when people insist that I sit, I stand on the chair... It works great for me, all the time. Isn't that like attaining the one? You stand, but you still agree with the person inclining that you claim a position as your own in order to join the pack.

A common example would be the whining sound of fearfull humans among agressive actions of angry men. A perfect unity even in such a situation is everpresent. So the sage walks in and he notices this unity. He holds to it, attains the one, he becomes the sum of these people. He notices the confidence of the agressive and the nurturing cares of the fearfull. The sage draws his ultimate weapon... Determined by sheer couragiousness he approaches the angry people and gives them the coockies, setting an couragious example for the fearfull and a caring and nurturing example for the angry. But I have no idea what I'm talking about Sometimes I will say I love you! Other times I get angry But I understand everything... Sometimes we face a certain death with ultimate couragiousness Though we may lack discipline And shy away from our failures Understand that perfect unity can never be attained eitherway, so stay confident in your journey Let me also express my hate towards all these emoticons presenting the unity I just let a tear go This post is far from perfect and requires the least amount of attention

Exactly. Thats a sharp observation you made. The immortal temperament actually comes from the stubborn and violent child, or heroism of a child ready to be initiated into manhood. Death can't touch an immortal, exactly because they die so often. The fact that death never comes to mind in the immortal life rises to the fact that they find them self impulsively ending up in dangerous situations. These are the impulsives among us who never think before they act. There brains don't perceive the limited time and don't act upon abstraction or judgement of values either. They simply do them. The only way a person can be ready to face death is by immortality, or becoming so full of life that death cannot touch you. In our society this behaviour is seen as childish and not balanced, because the environments has changed and no longer requires immortals to balance things out with the environment. But we still inherent this immortality from our ancestors who fought everyday for survival and required courage to extremes. Especially among men. Thats why most men end up jail and not women. They no longer fit in our environment, but it would be good to have them around, genetically, when the time comes that we need these people. I guess even immortals can learn to become like mortals, yet keep their immortal cores. Simply a process of maturation and addaptation to the environment.

With immortality we can draw from infinite experiences infinitely. When time doesn't play a factor, a fear of stealing is simply a set back to a series of more valuable experiences. For whatever goal you wish to achieve requires certain skills. What I mean with that is that without an immortal life, stealing an apple would be a waste of time, because time is limited and we should not waste it unless we are certain that stealing an apple is the best thing to do in that moment, which I doubt. For immortals, every experience is equally valuable. That is why, if you understand the concept, your actions would inevitable become 100% honest and authentic. Now lets say that everyone of us can become "like an immortal" even in his mortal life. Simply curious what people would do the moment they would be granted immortality, while they were reading this. Even if that means making a cup of coffee to contemplate on your newly gained immortality. I say I steal apples because there is a market nearby here and thats simply what I would do. I don't need any reason or explanation for my own behaviour, because as I said: "every experience is equally valuable for an immortal." This may not be felt at first, but certainly known by the logical mind. That is why the logical mind no longer plays any factor in my concept of the immortality. It can no longer distinguish values between certain events or judge them trough abstraction. You would be simply living from your human core. If someone asked why, I would say: I like apples. The only word that would be able to explain my behaviour as an immortal would be the poets word. That was then... If I would be granted immortality this moment I would hit my fist against the wall as often as I can handle. These are the most honest answers I can give. If I were not honest I would say, "I would lead the entire planet bla bla do this and thats" while in my mind I'm saying "First I've got to go to the toilet and taste my own pee, and after that I will go outside and walk south untill I reach some sunny beach with boats and a sea full of jellyfish." I like your honest answers aswell, and I do think that your view on immortality is a mature one. May you keep it that way.

Organ transplant patients having memory traces from donor
Everything replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
I heard that when other DNA, not of your own, is within your body, your organs fights it as if it were an alien invasion. I don't see how organs from other people can communicate that well with your body. This fact is actually why donor patients require to take medicine in order to prevent this from happening. Come to think of it, the halucinating behaviour might be caused from the medicine? BTW, you should warn the readers of the bloody content in the video link. Some people might faint, lol. But a heart is very connected to psychological temperament and neurology. So it sure would have some effect, but nothing as extreme as specific memories. Unless the memory is similar in a traumatic way to the traumatic memory of the previous heart owner. -
Man, you guys are scary... I should have made a title like "If you were a vampire" Thanks for the respond, though. You would not use these powers more "responsibly"? Like creating a better world for the people. Perhaps in batman terms, become the villain in order to create a balance in contrast to the excessive police forces. Or you would not dedicate your infinite life to the science of nature to find renewable energy or something? Seeking to create golden ages. You would simply catch bullets with your teeth and jump off cliffs? I means thats kinda painfull I admire your edge, but I also distrust it to some degree. My edge would be going out to steal an apple at the supermarket. And I would expand my edge from that place of authenticity towards myself. But my ultimate goal is not my edge, thus it is irrelevant to me. Why don't I steal an apple from the supermarket now? Because it would lead to jail, and a series of bad habbits that is destructive for my life and that of others. With immortality, I know that I shall require the ability to steal at some point in my eternal life. Do you see where I'm getting with this? Your turn!

You would be doing something alright... Challenging men is as deep for women as accepting a challenge from a woman is for men. It is sexy and attractive, thats all I'm going to say about that. You learn to conquer this part of yourself and harmonize with the way if it relates to you. I just assumed it might be a relevant respond to your video's. Did not accuse you of anything. Thought I mention it, don't worry your mind about it!

Looks like alot of positive ideas to take of the internet in order to dominate over the negative ideas on the internet. Information-war. But is there more then meets the eye? The only way we can avoid wars and poverty is when our scientific understanding accalerates more rapidly then the population growth. This raises the limit population of the human civilization when considered as if we were "growing pests" with a limit population of a density whereby self-destruction is inevitable. The nature science gives us the ability to raise the limit population, perhaps even so much (if we make huge discoveries like star/sun energies) that we reach a golden age. But there is always a danger to rapid growth of populization and decrease in energy resources to supply these populations. Unless we can use more and more dangerous technology for energy, and this on itself requires more responsibility of the human civilization. So we reach a new dilema. The power of nature science suddenly requires us to take a look at our selfs and reflect from that powerful perspective... Psychological/biological scientific advances are required in order to REALLY EVOLVE... Anonymous means nothing to this revolution. We humans are WAAAAAaaaaay back down there with our outdates mechanics. We cannot addept so quickly, keep war from happening, and at the same time increase scientific research and change our environment making it more and more futuristic. We change the environment too much in order to increase the limit population. We will need to change our selves aswell, thats where the real revolution lies. Not a change of mind, or an enlightened being, rofl. Anonymous has lofty aspirations, but a real leap in science is the real deal here. That is the thing that is most dangerous and requires the highest amount of courage. Our hero's are no longer those who deal the petty details of our life, but the scientific research who dare to go there where no one has ever gone before and dare to witness the truth to bring it back to the civilization. Following the children to its mother. A scientific revolution would lead to the immortality of the human civilization as a whole, or a certain death of the human civilization as a whole. Great revolutions require great courage and come with great risks. What is Anonymous? Nothing. Genetic enhancements, robotic humans, it all sounds scary but thats where the key lies to the survival of the human species.

If the first thing a woman says when you meet her is "you look like a kid" then that doesn't say much good about her attractions towards you and it should not be considered a compliment either. Don't you think so? I mean when you narrow it down to that specific sentence... You're like: "Wow, I'm getting younger. Awesome!" She's like: "I hope he's more mature then he looks" Or wasn't that the case?
-
Otis, you have made alot of great observations and I'm glad you shared them. I do disagree with some of the wording in your post. Sometimes you should pick better words for the thing you are describing, but abstracting trough the use of words/symbols is on itself an art that requires alot of genius. Even I fall for it, often. When you are referring to trying to change something trough "willpower" that you have simply no control over and fail, the willpower is not the one to blame, ofcourse. The problem is in your own identity. If you have a strong identity and have good knowledge of your limitations, you know what you do and do not control, which results in a more efficient use of willpower. Willpower itself is always equally powerful, not matter how efficient or innefficiently you use it. Willpower is the power of your soul, and there is where freedom lies. The soul decides, thus it is the essence of your life. If you make wise and constructive decisions, society grants you more freedom. I would not advice people to "stop being their own parent" either. As this word of parent is relevant to each person. If you say stop being a bad parent to yourself, I totally agree. But the details of that is entirely your own. You seem to understand it well enough. Again, thanks for the post. It is always helpful to bring the maturation process itself under light. But shed no light so that you may do others no harm.

Never mind. I was referring to the videos you posted here. Now, guys. Read purpose of this topic and give me the truth from the bottom of your soul. Contemplate your immortality, expose your limits, give us your naked truth. If you can't be truthful towards others with this, you will never become truthful towards yourself either. If you were immortal right now, what would you do. And at the very least, be honest with us if you would do something that you would rather not share here in public by telling so. Simply say: "I would do something that I'd rather not share in public." I don't care about all the surface stuff, I want people here to look deeper within themselves. It will reward you in the end, believe me.

Let me explain the purpose of this topic: It is honorable for a man to admit his fears, resistance, and edge of practice. It is simply true that each man has his limit, his capacity for growth, and his destiny. But it is dishonorable for him to lie to himself or others about his real place. He shouldn't pretend he is more enlightened than he is—nor should he stop short of his actual edge. The more a man is playing his real edge, the more valuable he is as good company for other men, the more he can be trusted to be authentic and fully present. Where a man's edge is located is less important than whether he is actually living his edge in truth, rather than being lazy or deluded. Do you see how contemplating your immortality plays into that? Live your true limits, let go of the lies that even you yourself are beginning to believe in. Alot of people are making up excuses for their lazy behaviour and pretend they are even beyond their own edge. It is an illusion and wont win the respect of other men. If you were immortal, the lies are no longer necesarry. You have infinite time to grow on the edge of your life, step by step, continuesly. Now again, is there absolutely nothing that you would do diffrently if you could not die? Your true identity is everchanging just like your limits. Find your limits is finding your truth, you can change that truth. Everyone has limits, otherwise he is non-existant and does not belong in the truth, he is but a lie. The better you know your limits to more effective your can grow as a person. As I said, the warrior man sees the diffrence between a mortal and immortal life, while the hero boy sees it not. I am actually confused that you clever guys did not get it yet, I hope you understand it now.

OFF-TOPIC You like this video's, kate? A friend once told me that she secretely enjoyed it when two guys were fighting over her and she always ended up somehow having this happen, as if it were unconscious. Challenging men is deeper then you know. But the new-age hiphop stuff is really a fail. Only someone posted a video somewhere of something that really took it one level higher. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYYjZeErFks I mean if you want to "seem" like you've got a high replication value what better way to do it then show the entire world how you get several women horny in mysterious ways. These guys just hit the jack pot. Or that one, go to 7:40, you'll see the real deal. BACK TO TOPIC

Attend the present to deal with the past, meaning you witness your memories from the present moment. Recognize that your memories are old, especially those you hold on to with emotional value. The present is not old. There is no concept of old in TTC. You are entering a new age, not an old age. Your previous ages are now old and your new age is new. Don't wander in the past. We flow into life and ebb into death. I think the ancients were pretty aware of this and developed practices for degrading bodies aswell. More subtle or slower movements without danger of injuries, etc. We can always be filled with life instead of empty with death. Unless you hold fast to life, because then your worries will live a life on their own. If you are filled with life, you don't need fear. Because death finds no place in your mind. The abstraction of death has nothing to cling on to.

Yes, and that is from a human perspective. That is why I also mentioned that this true nature of time has no value to us and cannot be comprehended. It is only relevant for quantum physics. Your ideas and believes are more constructive and that is all that counts... The truth does not matter.
-
It never begins or ends. Present contains all time frames and spaces as one single unit. You can draw infinitely from the experience of the present moment, as if it were an infinite vessel, bottemless. The beginning of the present moment and the ocean are both illusions and mere symbols for enhancing your understanding. The beginning is actually the end of any limitations set upon your mind by "identities."
-
Best description yet. The most accurate description of time is that it is relative. There are perspectives beyond our own evolved intuition that can teach us alot about the true nature of time, but these can never be fully comprehended, only abstracted and explained in that way. For example, mathematics is a great tool for communicating concepts of time. For our human life time is exactly about what Marbelhead mentioned in the quote above. And to add to that: "Attend the present to deal with the past." Because your concept and questions about time arises in your perception of your own memory. Perceiving your memory while remaining present will dissolve your questions about time like salt in water. When the present is an ocean of water, all your questions about time is but a grain of salt.

Sure games and movies have great value in them, just like diamonds and golden coins do. But how blunt are these things when compared to the Tao? When the electricity fails, suddenly all neighbours come out and feel connected. Less seperated and more unified. Their need for individual identity fails and their suspicioun of outsiders vaporises along with it. No one ever cares to look at the Television when it is turned off, yet you can see the inevitable truth of your own reflection withing the black screen. The tv is a part of you, just like everything else. You can watch movies and play games all you want. In the end you are simply witnissing one of the great ilusions in our daily life. When we fall for this simple illusion of TV and games, how will we look trough the illusions of our own limited consciousness? Games may not be a waste of time, but the negatives are too great.

I gave my description of the immortality I'm talking about. Meaning, you can feel stressful emotions and physical pain but never die from any of these. Wether this exists I don't care. So if you read my initial post again, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, if you don't already. So, no one is immortal in that sense. Now, I'm going to be equally judgemental about you and let you decide whose judgements are more accurate. The fact that you say you have no fear of death proves that you're still a boy inside who has never faced death before. You're begging to die, infact, your heroism screams that you be initiated into a man. I suggest you seek your limits and grow a stronger identity from that so that you can move on as an individual mature man. But I don't care, I'm here just to talk about how responsible we cope with our powers, not psychology. So, I'll refrain from my judgements if you guys refrain from yours. About rewinding time, I don't regret my past, because rewinding time would bring you into another past to witness the infinite potential and bring you enlightenment. I don't think you understand the concept of time that well. But neither do I. I'm content in the wandering of all mysteries, as I've said often. Time is irrelevant when I'm in the present moment. Have you ever heard of the term projection, Aaron? I have, in fact, faced my death. Now I'm begging to die and seek my limits. Thats why I mentioned it, I think you know where I'm getting with this.
-
Its just hard to find alot of people who do these kind of things. You can be lazy, over-sensitive, yet happy in your taoist ways. You can be carless about Tao and angry, yet strong, confident and disciplined.
-
@manitou, yeah. Winning a war, is a win-loose situation for you and the other party. Sure it may sound better then loose-win, but this essence does teach us otherwise. Only win-win is a pure victory, nothing less. A perfect balance that can only be sought for, never fully achieved. Thats why we call it the art of war.
-
You give them money, you get a new shoulder. Thats win-win right there. Kill an animal for money, you can use that money to save somebody's life. Bad karma, however, is internal. Replace an old shoulder, you still have the bad karma/bad habbit of not being more caring or nurturing as person, either toward yourself or others. I've heard once that the diffrence between a hero and warrior is that the hero dies and the warrior knows his limits. Thats why the courage of a boy is a sign that he is ready to be initiated trough death and rebirth so that he may recognize his own limits and become an individual. Living close to that identity, expanding his limits with dedication, discipline and patience. Emazing that they replaced your entire shoulder skelet. Does it have advantages, because of its strong material?
