Last year I had a flashback to something I had suppressed for a good 12 years. As I've mentioned before I am recovering from a stroke. I noticed after a good hour of chansigong and zhan zhuang that I had a red line going across my forehead from the upper left of my forehead at the scalp all the way to the bridge of my nose. When I put my finger to the red line I felt a noticeable ridge underneath. I then relived running from my stepfather into the bathroom. He picked me up by my collar and belt line then battered my face into the porcelain soap cubby. I had no idea for all these years that's what caused my deviated septum and come to think of it I started getting migraines shortly afterward. After this discovery I have been working through it by intentionally triggering the memory. I put the blade of my hand over the ridge and try to relax as much as possible. Systema breathing seems to help me more than natural or reverse breathing in these instances.

witch have you noticed any... interesting effects during your escapades? I find that electronics with infrared receivers for remote controls act as if my partner and I are the remotes sometimes. Also FM radio stations go to static when I play with a partner with a sufficient level of energy.

I don't think she has any idea that she's a vamp and is definitely a hoarder. Her body is even shaped oddly because of how and where she stores the energy. It's kind of bizarre.

As far as the descendants of the Mayans not being too worked up about it most of it is ignorance. The Mayan elders withheld the culture until 1985. It is only in the past 26 years that the language is taught openly to the lay members of Mayan culture. Only those whose families had knowledge which was needed for the betterment of the culture were taught. Even those who are aware of some of the details are still for the most part ignorant as the majority of the Mayan stelae and codices were destroyed by the Spanish. Those educated Mayans know something will be happening but don't really care so much. The Mayans would rather live their lives than worry about calamity.

My coworkers got pretty scared when this short White guy got to the Buddha's Warrior Attendant Pounding Mortar part of the form. Luckily I have some good friends who don't judge or are have their own path.

PTSD is a bitch and a half. I fight it every day. One of my main techniques is to relive the experience but try to detach myself from the emotional load. It's not always successful but it is helpful with progess.

Hey! I resemble that remark... it helped a lot when I met my ex. She needed that excess yang I had. I'm still sad she decided cocaine and ecstasy were more worthwhile than her own health and our relationship.

The first time I saw these guys I dislocated my knee after their set waiting for the Sugar Thieves to set up. I ended up hopping around the corner of the bar and smoking some reefer with their bass clarinetist. Nice guy, the indica he had definitely helped my knee more than the sativa I had on hand.

Thanks zerostao. Glad to see someone appreciates similar things. I've met the Mikel and Meredith (male and female lead) a few times and always had a blast talking with them. I've seen them play impromptu sets at street fairs and at a few local venue. Glad to see they're getting out of the Phoenix area and touring around the country now.
