    hi, I think you have a Vata imbalance with a bad digestive fire (Vishama Agni) and that is why this meal gave you so much chi, you restored the Agni because of the spices, the fact it is cooked and not raw, and the sweet is Vata balancing. Vata imbalance (excess of Vata) is what happen when we eat Vegan with raw/uncooked cold dish without spices, and when we drink water when eating. This lack of digestive fire may explain (Partly, because it is also tamasic, bad for energy circulation) why you feel like shit after eating meat, till it is gone from your body (~2 days).
  2. -Based on the literature and my own experiences, eating till full is a major obstacle for the circulation of energy, even with a full vegan diet. It has a "tamasic" effect that last from the meal to the moment you eject it at the toilets (1-2 days). It has the exact contrary effect of a fast, which is used even in exoteric religions for its spiritual effect. -Eggs are a problem for spiritual practices, they are tamasic. -If you choose to be vegan, the major deficiency is Iron which can lead to try to compensate by eating too much: the iron in vegetables is a non heminic iron, which is not entirely processed by the body, you can change this by adding lemon juice or oranges (vit C) to your meal it is a well known trick in the medical field for anemic patients.

    Yes, I am at >200 days there is no Transfiguration or any fireworks by itself. On the contrary, it would be bad for health to have Jing stagnation in your lower centers, you need a whole spiritual routine. Yes retention empowers your spiritual exercises and your life, but you cant practice retention if you don't reverse the flow of energy and its quality with a sattvic diet. IMHO Retention and Sattvic diet are the two foundations of spirituality. Then you have to add an Energy practice which connect root to the brow (Spinal Breathing Pranayama or Microcosmic Orbit...) + a Void meditation practice (Anapanasati or Deep meditation...) both will purify your body of light. I do Asanas every morning and because of Retention and Sattvic diet it has a good purification action by itself, but without it would be a weak practice. Also once you have enough purification you can do breath retentions which makes your "Shakti" (kundalini) to ascend, breath retention would not work without the two foundations.

    There are 3 important effects in Full Lotus -When I practice Kumbhaka (9 step bottled wind) while in Full Lotus I don't feel Ecstatic energy into the legs. => By blocking the energy at the bottom maybe the energy is forced to ascend. -Full Lotus is also a "Hip opener" and therefore allows the sexual energy to be more accessible to do whatever you want. -Full Lotus is an erect posture which promotes ascendance of Prana from lower centers into higher centers, you will have better meditation than if you just lie down. Many others techniques are used to makes this ascendance: Mulhabandha/Asvini, Jalandhara, Mobile Body Awerness, Sambhavi, Nauli, or Yabyum. The controversy about Full Lotus on TTB is about how some people think Full Lotus is so powerful it can be used as a stand alone for sublimation. But while it may be true for advanced practitioners like them, it won't be enough for newbies like me.

    I practice strict sexual continence (no orgasm nor ejaculation) for many months now (maybe half a year, 150+ days), I sometimes have tantric sex with my GF without ejaculation and no blocking method (since I believe it is as well a loss of jing, also reported by the "healing tao school")) in the Yabyum or any verticalized position (since it promotes sexual energy ascendance). I came here to warn people: -Celibacy alone (normal diet, no meditation etc) in a low level cultivator wont do anything and can lead to jing stagnation in the lower centers, pain in lower back and into the perineum (same pain as the "blue balls"), especially if you don't have a physical/intellectual activity as an outlet. It is NOT a valid spiritual practice. -Celibacy alone with meditation and normal occidental diet will lead to abnormal social behaviours (irritability, too high sexual arousal..), because lower centers are way too much stimulated by a normal diet (spices, red meat, alcohol, acid sodas..., or anything that irritates your Gastro Intestinal Tract including the prostate) and makes your energy/jing to have a overall descendent direction and will lead to a higher ejaculation risk or maybe nocturnal emission. -Celibacy with spiritual diet and no meditation is sterile as well, it is not enough to sublimate and you need meditation (void meditation or anapanasati, or qigong or even asanas...) to "purify" higher centers with Ajna as your first and safest target. -With a Vegetatian/sattvic diet you can reach your 1000 days very easily but the amount of Jing will IMO not be enough to fuel your spiritual practice if you are a low or mid level cultivator. I think the ideal diet should remain "Sattvic" and sometimes (1-2 times per week) we can eat very fresh fish (not frozen as it has a "tamasic" action) to increase your jing. But this sentence is not a true for everybody statement since we do know that diet is a cultivator-dependent parameter, as our map of obstructions in our "occult anatomy" can be very different.

  8. Yes, holdback into stillness. And I prefer standing up positions, I think it promotes ascendance of sexual energy, (same reason we meditate in full lotus, or tantric practitioners use Yab Yum.) And other techniques like mulabandha, or root/penis to ajna on the inhalation. Recently I found the "abdominal lock" to have a more important role than I thought months ago, maybe my body is changing.

Yes I do believe if you exile yourself from society, live in a cave or a monastery, don't move to much, and eat by the mean of charity then maybe Veganism provides enough Jing and then it may be a superior diet. There is no consensus about diet and this is a problem because we all want the best: -Ramana Maharshi was vegetarian and says it is absolutely necessary to cultivate a sattvic mind -Buddha, Ramakrishna and Vivekananda ate meat. -Modern teachers like Chia or Yogani, besides avoiding rajasic foods, they don't ask to totally avoid meat/fish. Yes, as I said I was serious with my diet: I ate a lot of nuts/almonds, fresh dairy products everyday, beans for proteins, avocados yes, fruits etc... I didn't lose any weight. Thank you for your advanced advice. Stage of development may as well explain the lack of a consensus on this matter. I don't know what level people of Tao Bums have reached but I am talking about common exercises we read about in books: "Backward flowing method" "MCO" or "Spinal breathing pranayama" or "Middle Pillar", I think their goal is the same,they want your sexual energy to ascend and to be within reach of higher centers' silence . I think extinction of sexual energy centers should not be mistaken for sublimation. Absence of sexual energy and sexual urges produced by vegetarianism doesn't mean one succeeded in sublimation, it means you have no gasoline to begin with and thus it is a major fail at the very beginning of the cultivation process. I think veganism or Fasting do share a very important role in the path: they both enhance sublimation of Jing you PREVIOUSLY gained by other means. Maybe this diet should be considered as a singular technique more than a whole lifestyle and philosophy.
  10. Baiqi I knew I would create such a violent reaction with this post because veganism in spiritual circles is close to indoctrination. "Since when meat does creates jing? " If we define jing as the ability to restore stamina very quickly after ejaculation, the ability to not develop illness, the ability to attract opposite sex just by doing nothing, the general willpower or wellbeing that makes you crave for physical activity or sport then meat is number one. I dont know if drewhemple is a reference in the community but there are a few posts saying: -"Yes eat meat will increase the jing but you have to make sure you are converting the jing to chi energy before you go to sleep - otherwise the jing energy will just deconvert into sex fluid at night." -"But I was still getting hit on strongly and if I ate too much meat then I had stronger jing electrochemical energy and this created even more sex fluid. " Maybe there are different kinds of cultivation or goals in the spiritual path, maybe something is better than bliss or ecstasy and silence and some of you can't share it with us because it makes no sens into our words, something more mystical than that BUT the path I am talking about is really easier with meat.

    Hello! I would like to share a new technique I use to open a very important blockage in the heart area and front channel. Symptoms after a few days of cultivation: -Irritability, -Accumulation of stagnant energy on the chest area, impossibility to move it with the mind. -Inability to use front channel but back channel seems ok, -Instant overload with practices like AYP which doesnt use front channel, -Accute/blockage precise pain in the heart while doing energy circulation like MCO. -Inability to enter Silence , meditation or bliss when the blockage is still here. These symptoms caused the end of my cultivation, I had to treat the jing/chi stagnation by ejaculating more than one time (one time doesnt drain enough energy from area above the pelvis). It was a failure. First, here is my background, I practice internal alchemy (taoism and indian yoga) and my routine is something like this: Cool draw and MCO circulation Normal Abdominal Breathing Anapanasati My diet is now Sattvic because meat or tamasic food cause the blockage to appear ealier in the cultivation of energy. Techniques I tried and didn't work to relieve the blockage: -Vipassana and mobile body awarness in the blocked area. -Anapanasati -Alternate breathing (Nadi shoddana pranayama) -Using the front channel -Walking and concentration on foot, ground/earth. many many more. Technique which worked: -Ustrasana (asana which open the heart area) WHILE doing -Nine bottled-wind type pranayama(from Bodri's book) (a kumbaka holded till we cannot anymore) I do it only 3 times and not 9. It creates a huge flow of energy in the front channel and relieves the heart and I can cultivate energy again without overload/symptoms. I would like more advanced people to comment on the technique. Bodri says it is awakening YANG CHI (kundalini), I heard it was not very wanted since I consider myself a newbie on the path (lots of blockages, no silence etc...). And if I am moving this YANG CHI up the front channel is it dangerous? It doesnt seems what taoism teach. Thank you
  12. Hello. I know we have to conserve our jing, by avoiding ejaculation. But: -Does sex degenerate our whole hardly reffined chi/shen to jing? -Does sex creates jing from nowhere or does it come from chi reffined from food or breath? Do we have an unlimited supply of potential jing awakened by sexual stimulation, or has it a limit? If Jing come from a chi created by food/breath/sun or else, is Jing more sublte/reffined than this chi? Does sexual stimulation degenerates this basic chi or sublimate it? Because the consequences on daily practice would be different: -to avoid ejaculation AND sex/masturbation + practice the COOL draw and not the big draw. Or -To practice sex with kareeza as frenquently as possible, with BIG draw. We do have a method to sublimate sexual energy (mco etc...)and that is great, but I am affraid we do hinder our gains by decreasing our Chi quality each time we have sex/masturbation and creating a terrific amount of jing, then the only benefit of taoism would be to have more sex. Your thoughts?

    Hi Non. PC contractions, when happening outside a final orgasm doesnt lead energy outward. On the contrary they can rise sexual energy it is a known fact, and it is called in yoga mulhabandha or asvini when done repeatidly. If you had coccyx bend and other bandhas you will increase the rise of sexual energy into higher centers.
  14. Hi. I was into GD/magick/bardon a few years ago. To say the truth, this stuff is now outdated because they had fake western esoteric materials, and only a small access to eastern esoterism back in the late XIX century. When further knowledge came from india those western school greatly increased their level and changed their teachings (the AA has a huge yoga part). The question is, do you want to evolve spiritualy or be able to read tarot cards which doesnt even work and look badass with useless theorical kabbalah. Nowadays, there are much better systems available (AYP/KAP/R.Bruce...).
  15. Hello. I do think bramacharya or 100 days gong with strictly no sexual thoughts/stimulations can lead to sublimation via the natural and automatic circulation of the MCO. This sublimation will depend of the quality of MCO opening. But I think this process is slow, and everybody here will agree that the natural MCO energy flow is slow. I was doing sexual energy circulation with this technique: -Deep abdominal inhalation with-sexual stimuation +mulhabanda + vertebral extension (lordosis of lumbars/thoracics/cervical). But I dont play with the edge of orgasm because I only ejaculate 1-2times per month. -Exhalation +no stimulation+ no more mulhabanda + vertebral flexion. This lead to energy sensations on the whole body, with ear buzzing and every other energy sensation you know, including kunlun like shakings. The vertebral flexion/extension seems to be as important as mulhabanda. This technique is said to lead to whole body orgasm. Then I raised all this energy back to the dan tien, using Robert bruce "energy raising" technique. I dont keep my chi dispersed on the whole body because the chi would be lost or stagnate in the head which leads to headaches etc. Now I dont feel sexual anymore, like I ejaculated; but I didnt. And I didnt get the "blue balls" at all, which is an aroused sexual energy stagnation symptom, and my Dan tien feel heavy. I dont use porn since I think it is a direct Shen to Jing transformation because you use your spirit to make sexual arousal. Questions: -Do you believe I can achieve jing sublimation by this way. -Do you have any advices on how to enhance this technique. -Dont you think the kunlun like sensation and shakings, and the fact that 100days gong is recommended for kunlun, means kunlun is sexual energy circulation and not some unknow energy coming from the sky? Thank you, and sorry for my english. Please only practical answers, no philosophy.

    Well I stopped smoking. 2 weeks is average and is not a precise schedule. Increased jing: -No longer trying to GET attention/love/sexuality from others ; Now I can GIVE all of these (not only by stopping cig, i do cultivate too): As a man, when you extremelly lack jing you reverse your energetic behaviour to get energy the way women do. -Sexuality back to normal. When smoking you have very poor basic sexual desire, with poor sexual energetic sensations and orgasm quality is bad. Libido is back to something massive if you dont sublimate. Sometimes I read "when jing is full you have no sexual desire", I think it is wrong and BS: IMO no sexual desire means FULL sublimation or no jing, but not full jing. -No permanent weakness, tiredness (which made me interested by taoism.)Bad nights, bad mood, bad health... -Poor energy sensations while practicing (It is qi, but there is no qi if you lack jing) ...

    Hi. Smoking is the worst thing you can do on the path of cultivation and spirituality. Jing is decreased drastically. Tabacco is very bad for kidneys (leads to kidneys failure due to vasoconstriction of blood vessels) and kidneys are supposed to generate jing in TCM. Since you need a lot of jing (the basis) in order to cultivate, you will stagnate at the lowest level. I am a former smoker, I did the test: you need at least 2 weeks free from tabacco to produce high level jing again. Nicotine seems to be the cause since I tried nicotine chewing gum and my jing was definitly lower. I am surprised nobody here condemn tabacco as I do. IMO High level jing is mainly acquired by 100days, sport and no tabacco. There is no esoteric practices at this step of alchemy. Jing to qi and qi to shen is another story.
  18. Drawbacks of cultivation

    Hello. I wont talk about taoism or qigong, but spirituality as a whole since my routine is a mix of kunlun/AYP/NEW. Im 24 and I think Im a lot more mature than before the practice, always in a good mood, no depression anymore, with a lot more energy and better self esteem (Back then I had no energy and everything was a pain to do). I had more nevrosis; I remember I could find 2 or 3 personalities in me, not schizophrenic but I was very lunatic, those personalities have unified to something better. Technically speacking, I can raise chi to the point I can hurt myself (as having medically resistant headache because you cooked your brain with chi too much time in the head I know now what is chi, I can feel it. I know how to move it, to raise it, to cultivate it, and that is because of taobums and other boards (thanks again). Bad sides: sometimes I wake up 2-3times per night, after the routine, It didnt happen before.

    Hello. Like many of you, I am interested in Taoism to make my life better, feel more conscious, more happier, more energized... I always was a tired boy, with poor focus, no willpower, and bad mood: I want to CHANGE. I practice a lot; exercices you already know (retention or at least no useless masturbation/spinal breathing/kunlun1/RedPheonix/energy raising by R.bruce prior to MO, abdominal breathing, pore breathing) and I do think thoses techniques I learned here, with you, are stronger than what I practiced before (golden dawn/franz bardon). I can now raise enough energy to activate centers I couldnt even feel before. I did a few experiences like OBE, which I always wished. And more importantly: I changed. I feel energized, Im not fustrated anymore, I want to party or travel everyday I have willpower and I feel love for everyone... But I do think, the most important practice I did was daily SPORT, every morning, especially High Intensity Interval Training. I mean, not just walk and run slowly: exhausting sports for more than 20 min do the difference. (reach >80% VO2max) Maybe it wont give you supernatural powers, mystical experiences. But it does give you what a lot of people here do want: ENERGY, and more than every exercices I have ever done. PS: skipping rope with a foam mat is the must. Thank you and sorry for my bad english.
