Interesting but, afaik the yin is gathered at the same time as yang in level 1. I think it was in Jim Mcmillians book where JC said he lacked the yin due to not sitting on the ground. Also John Chang was told to do a whole lot of horse stance when he met his master

Everything is Energy, Seeing Energy, Balance of Energy
Ish replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
That was interesting thanks for posting. I believe it's a skill, and rather than being switched on all the time like it was at that point perhaps one can just "tune in" and then be able to see the energy clearly when one needs to. Im sure it's different for everyone at different stages. -

It would be very useful in my opinion. Once i could the energy clearly, no expectations no thought just there it was clear as day. But that went away after a bit . -
Hey, how often are you thinking? Im not in london but reasonably close, depends on time/frequency

The teacher has demonstratable power as a result of the training. Many schools are ambigious about progression/enlightenment, whereas in Mo pai there are levels and signs. It's purpoted to make one very powerful even within the first few levels. Its secretive and closed off so of course this makes people want it even more. There have been westerners who have gone and confirmed the teachers power and the practice. By saying that Mo pai cultivates Yin energy and why thats important instantly puts it above many other practices (supposedly). Im sure theres many more but thats some of the attraction

I usually feel more energised after eating, whatever i have. I feel my qigong is better when i've eaten, less focused when i'm hungry.

What are you apologising for i simply ask you a question but yet again you don't want to challenge your own beliefs/opinions.

No. It's called a MARTIAL art, do you understand what that means? Tai ji CHUAN, do you understand ?
-
"The level of progress in Tai Ji was not based on how long has one been practiced. It was determined by how well can one breathe after the practice." No way, Taijiquan is a martial art, progress should primarily be based on martial ability. Of course good health & vitality are required and also develop.

It's the basics of Taijiquan. Btw Zhan Zhuang is not always horse stance, common Taiji zhan zhuang posture :

I agree, it would be a different matter if he was a novice meditator and forcefully holding his breath but that's clearly not the case at all.

As far as i know there was a communication error when they said they wanted to make a documentary he thought it was filming it for the sake of documentation not to show to the public.

In Taoist yoga- alchemy and immortality it refers to the original cavity of the spirit between and behind the eyes in the center of the brain as being the source of the immortal breath. I've found similar result when doing this meditation, not to the level of control that you explained though.

How many Taoists are out there in the TTB....?
Ish replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
Absolutely, i think one should do what is appopriate for the situation, and you can only do this if you are calm internally. -
I had not heard of it before but here is a link describing the 7 points: http://www.rigpawiki.org/index.php?title=Seven-point_posture_of_Vairochana I think it's good advice. A good place to learn alignment is from a Zhan Zhuang teacher. Shaking, stretching & spontaneous qigong can really help your body to find comfortable alignment.

Why is Chi Kung Practitioners are healthier and stronger breathing the same air....?
Ish replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
Absolutely i'm not asking you to blindly accept it, but as fellow practioner i just don't want you to completely close off that there's something more to qigong than you have experienced so far. -
Why is Chi Kung Practitioners are healthier and stronger breathing the same air....?
Ish replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
First of all im not shooting you down, you can't simply expect everyone to nod and agree with you when you try and close a subject down when we have experience otherwise. Example - you say all qigong comes down to breathing, chi is just air. Now its obvious to many qigong practioners on this board that this is completely untrue, and we try to open up your mind to some other possibilities, but from your responses you dont even seem interested. -
Why is Chi Kung Practitioners are healthier and stronger breathing the same air....?
Ish replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
No. Because chi is what it is, for those who have experience of it (feeling and seeing) it's a joke to confine it down to "air" or "oxygen", thats just not what it is. I believe many people have tried to explain this but you don't seem to be interested, like i said before I think you just want to try "teach" people what you already believe with this kind of thread. -

But you're not asking a question, you're just wanting people to say what you already think is true. -
