Burning Palm - Nomad Fighting System (clips)
Ish replied to Warrior Body Buddha Mind's topic in General Discussion
This thread really made me LOL. Sifu Garry I thought your weapon forms were really cool. Your agility & power are impressive. -
Could be complete BS but from what I've picked up its something like this; You have the dense ball of yang qi at the lower dan tian, at the third level the energetic cords that hold it in place are severed, this allows you to move the yang qi ball to the perineum where it combines with yin qi and moves back to the lower abdomen. So that's the level 4 fusion of yin and yang. I have a feeling that the cords are energetic because the dan tian itself is an energetic structure. I doubt there's any physical severing, no indication of that in the book afaik.

Non violence may not always be compassionate. Allowing a person to kill you is not being compassionate towards them as you allow them to continue their bad karma. It is also not compassionate to any potential next victims of that person. There are things worth protecting, I believe it is righteous to attain power if it allows you to protect these things. If your intentions are rooted in wisdom and morality where can you go wrong?

I wouldn't look to the Western ideals of physical aesthetics as beneficial in terms of energy development. Actually a lot of qigong masters have a bit of a belly, this is due to the internal force at the lower dantian. I personally know qigong cultivators who eat healthily do a lot physical activity and are indeed fit and strong, but also have this "qi belly". In my, and others, experience getting that "ripped" look is actually awful for your energy. But i don't think you can feel it if you don't have any sensitivity to qi. I've personally studied under Sifu Wong Kiew Kit, definitely recommend it.

Such a holy pure individual who wants money, luxuries, women and is cunning and selfish!

Did Franz Bardon manage to attain this himself? I.e is it taught from his own experience and/or from a lineage?

Is he really a monk? I know that at the modern shaolin temple there are plenty of "monks" who go home and have a wife and kids! Even though they don the robe and have a shaved head. I find it weird for a real monk to be making a movie...

In the realms of Kung Fu, i've heard secondhand stories about certain masters. One could move paper at a distance with little effort, another would create big gusts of wind when practicing his kung fu. In my opinion you would only get this level of ability really going to the limit focused on one or a few speciailised arts which develop energy in a specific way. Not particularly practical or feasible in modern times because 1) We aren't fighting for our lives and 2)We're generally very lazy and distracted compared to past practioners. Bear in mind none of this is elemental magic or manipulation. Of course there's John Chang for the fire thing, but i wouldn't call it fire manipulation, just a heck of a lot of power. You can look into Franz Bardon's books, I don't know how effective it is but there is some elemental stuff there. My opinion is that there's no point aiming for the abilities you mentioned unless the practice has some other useful benefits.

There's nothing wrong with it as long as your intention is good and you practice morality at the same time. Having powerful energy & a powerful mind is then extremely useful for whatever you want to do, it's simply practical. The masters who can meditate for hours, heal, teach, travel etc and still remain youthful and energetic obviously have "power" to go along with their wisdom.

That's how i was taught and practiced Zhan zhuang, for me it was more effective at building internal power than focusing on breathing and the like. I guess it's a bit more difficult as you have no distractions, but IMO thats a positive not a negative if you know what i mean .

Probably cause it was only 6 hours ago -
Thanks for responding. Off topic but maybe you can clarify.. Consistently in my meditation a bright golden/whitish light fills my internal vision, Im not currently dealing with any visualisation and I don't aim to produce any experiences so is this a natural manifestation of the "ling"? Another thing I noticed is if I am suddenly disturbed while in this "state" the light suddenly disperses/scatters or shifts, I don't find this pleasent.

I don't get your analogy of enlightenment practices. Have not many people became Arhats (enlightened) without energy practices? On your last paragraph I always thought Taoist immortality WAS excluding "darkness" and attaining an immortal Yang spirit. Maybe Master Wang Liping's system is something else entirely? Interesting, thanks.

So do you do horse stance physically or just in your head? I guess you practice the Korean system where Shim gong = Shen Gong? Wai Gong (physical), Nei Gong (energy) , Shim gong (mind)
-
I've so far avoided aiming to have an out of body experience. Couple of reasons - It doesn't seem healthy to force your spirit/mind from your body. I've heard some dangers of being more susceptible to spirits, afaik this type of projection is yin, so you don't have your body's yang energy for protection. I'm aware of some people who practice OBE related stuff, seems a bit new agey, kind of playing with experiences rather than actually progressing. Bear in mind I don't KNOW if my points are valid, as I said above I haven't actually practiced OBE's.

As far as I know generally kung fu styles all called their internal arts Nei Kung, qigong is a new term. So it could be that, although from our modern perspective the clips on topic look like qigong rather than what we would think as nei kung.

Well I liked it a lot especially the last few lines.

I hope that you reconsider leaving, I enjoy reading your posts and I am sure many others are the same. Best of luck with whatever you decide but at least pop in and post a bit even if you decide to go!

Pretty sure you can easily use a proxy server to make it seem like your IP is from any country. Doesn't prove anything. -

Pretty sick how he probably gets off on writing this kind of thing... Just puts more credibility to the real More Pie Guy and what he's being saying about this scammer, it's so obvious how sad this guy is.

But seriously what kind of intro is this haha
