Notre Dame Stadium Evacuated due to Thunderstorm?

Weather balloons! -
Great, I'm already enjoying the practice and hope to come to the London workshop in January.
-
I doubt it's common after 3 months of practicing . Very inspiring - congrats!

What point would that be ? I'm sure Zhang San Feng was extremely high level from practicing the arts at Shaolin before he created the Wudang internal arts so I doubt he would have any contempt for them - or for the Buddha.

Buahahaha technically Buddha is Enlightened so he's level 72. Therefore I'll put my money on Buddha .

So would it be true to say that most people are looking a Kundalini in an incorrect way? From what 5ET has written it perhaps sheds light on a quote that I heard - which was something like "it takes 30 years for kundalini yoga to fully awaken your kundalini". So a lot of people may scoff at this thinking that you can awaken kundalini within a year or so and the standard path is a very ineffective method. This refers to kundalini as a powerful energetic experience/opening. However perhaps the quote refers to Kundalini as a process of attaining enlightenment - therefore saying that you can awaken it fully within 30 years is very impressive.

Thanks for the informative post, and the last comment was made in jest - no sarcasm . I'm not a KAP student, so like i said everything in my post was just theory made out of interest. I guess you have awakened your kundalini? Do you mind making a post about your experience - I appreciate if it's too personal. Best, Ish

As I understand it, Kundalini awakening can happen spontaneously through other energy work not necessarily Indian yoga. IIRC Glenn Morris awakened his kundalini through meditation and MCO practice? Therefore there must be some Taoist literature about kundalini, as it would be ridiculous for generations of Taoist masters who deeply practiced energy work and meditation to not have some who aroused their kundalini. Surely there must be some texts or masters that can describe kundalini in terms of jing/chi/shen etc. My guess (probably completely wrong) is that Kundalini is highly refined chi that when released goes up the Chong Mai (don't know about ida & pingala - is there a parallel in Taoism?) Do you have any information regarding this? considering your extensive experience with both fields of practice I assume you must have figured it all out .

Don't look to other people for validation. The only reason you think people give you weird looks or look down on you is because you aren't self confident enough. Bear in mind healthy self confidence is not thinking you are better then everyone else, but is accepting yourself for who you are. Especially the things you can't change, just accept it and be happy regardless of what other people say or do.

do you have to be a zen master to be successful with women?
Ish replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
Just because you are alone doesn't mean you are lonely. If you practice genuine energy and spiritual cultivation you won't be lonely even when alone. We have the internet, there are masters here on this forum. Many people have given testimonials about their excellent results. Put some serious time and effort into this and im 100% sure you WILL improve yourself. -

Saying that being in a relationship is necessary is complete bullshit. You've just made this up. Stop being so dramatic, you have access to all these arts that can change you COMPLETELY. Have you gone to any masters? I know for a FACT that genuine qigong/nei kung/meditation can change you into a better person. Not a faker with fake confidence, but real confidence and happiness. Seriously you are smart enough to ponder on all these aspects of society and write longwinded posts, how about you spend some time on self improvement, not intellectually masturbating about how bad you are. -
do you have to be a zen master to be successful with women?
Ish replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
No I doubt most women would like a zen master. Zen master won't indulge in bullshit or flattery. Why would a zen master go out looking for sex or for women who are only interested in good looks or money? He's not reliant on other people. You really need to stop this suicide crap. Forget about other people for a while, become confident for YOURSELF, does it feel good to YOU to be indimidated by women?? Ask yourself what you REALLY want. If all you want is to get laid with some girls at a club sure go ahead and build up your muscles, get nice clothes, get confident and beef up your ego but don't complain about it on a forum. If you want to actually meet a girl for a relationship maybe go to some clubs/activities that YOU enjoy, and meet some like minded people! If you are going to commit suicide why not just go and do anything you want instead, you literally have nothing to lose. -
Why do you measure yourself by others' standards?
Ish replied to tulku's topic in General Discussion
Cool. I understand what you are saying, some people think that if you cut off the desires (even for "positive" things like friends, wealth, a partner etc) with training that you become dead or dull inside. However in my experience it just opens the way to a deeper happiness not dependant on conditions. You can become more compassionate and stable. -
Why do you measure yourself by others' standards?
Ish replied to tulku's topic in General Discussion
Hi Tulku. Do you live with this mindset completely, are you unafflicted by these things? Were you popular, had lots of friends etc during school? I appreciate if you don't want to answer, but based on what you write you don't care anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. -
IME the anal lock increases the connection between Ren and Du, somewhat similar to the tip of the tongue on the palate. We use the lock during Small Universe practice while standing, with the correct breathing. I've also found during sitting meditation that quite often the lock will activate spontaneously and energy will vibrate/pump through the perineum and up the back and around the small universe. So i don't know anything about it not being used while seated, as it seems quite natural.

Bit too wordy for me to meditate on

IME certainly chi can be built/stored. Example; practicing zhan zhuang/dan tian breathing/meditation, afterwards I can feel chi stored inside the abdominal cavity. Practing day after day and the dan tian area feels more stable internally, can feel some slight "fullness", although completely different to eating too much, as this is very comfortable. When i went through a reasonbly long period without practicing this became less. Another example is i can feel "spheres" of energy at my palm centre at all times, it doesnt go away no matter the situation. They built up from practicing a qi gong method that focuses energy at the palms among other benefits . Certainly, letting go, aligning with energy and becoming more and more aware increases your ability to build and flow chi.

According to Taoist Yoga, the white light that just appears when you close your eyes doesn't have much meaning while the mysterious gate is associated with a white light present when your eyes are open. I believe it occurs when the Small Universe is at a high level. I haven't experienced this second white light.

I reckon before the interview he basically said he won't talk about certain things pertaining to Mo Pai because im suprised no one asked the questions that are on most peoples minds. I too was disappointed when I heard those lame conspiracy questions and on Greek politics. Seriously what were they thinking asking him some of these questions - we want to hear about Nei kung, meditation, his experiences etc! You can ask the other crap to any expert in those fields, how often are you going to be able to question a student of John Chang?? Nevertheless there were some valuable parts so thanks for posting the link .

I'm not sure why people refer to Fa Jin like it is an attainment. Both a beginner and master can fa jin but the difference between 2 practioners "jin" can be massive. Being able to fa jin for an internal arts practioner is important, just as is learning to punch correctly for a boxer. Certainly training ones jin and practicing fa jin to a high level is a great asset in a fight. Does a boxer get to a high level without training his muscles extensively and also practicing his punches 1000's of times? Of course it's one dimension to overall combat, there are many many other factors. Practicing realistic sparring is extremely important.

Yes i understand "Jin". You can do a fast strike with good body mechanics - I believe this is referred to as "fa li". This doesnt mean the strike is backed by internal force. A strike with internal force isn't necessarily done by loading up the whole body and issuing a large strike - although correct body mechanics does facilitate good chi flow. If you have build up some internal power through practicing nei gong/taiji correctly you WILL notice that internal force is issued through strikes you do without having to focus or channel energy to your palms for 5 minutes. This can distort the energy system of another person if you hit them with a strike, sure it may not damage them overtly but does distorting someones energy seem healthy to you or something that you want to do to your students? I could be wrong but from seeing a few of your posts it seems you basically believe chi is something like breath or oxygen. So really there is no point debating about chi or internal force, you have either experienced it or you haven't. Honestly though you don't have to practice much to experience chi, just train under a competent teacher. If chi is something you attain after 10 years of gruelling practice then something has gone completely wrong with the training methods.
