  1. Longmen pai retreats in the UK

BTW isn't Aurelian the same person who organizes retreats with master Jiang too?
  2. Is this practice dangerous ?

In general pushing "red hot sexual energy" into your head can cause someone big problems. For proper energy refinement you want to evaporate it before it rises to the head.
  3. Is this practice dangerous ?

If you don't wanna mess with kundalini, then don't do that practice IMO.
  4. lighting something on fire = great dao?
  5. Hou Tian vs Xian Tian & Xiao Yao Pai

So have some people in recent times in your sect achieved Yang shen? If so, how do you know that they have? Thanks for the info.
  6. Hou Tian vs Xian Tian & Xiao Yao Pai

Hi Effi In Xiao Yao Pai, how does one distinguish that the Fu Fak Shen is a yang shen immortal rather than a yin shen spirit? Thanks
  7. russian sleep experiment

  8. Let's Talk about Fa Jin(發勁)

Dwai, i have a question about temple style tai chi if that's OK: Do you have Zhan Zhuang as a training method in your style? I was wondering how temple style views this as a method to developing Jin, as compared to something like condensing breathing.
  9. Isn't Trekcho just becoming stable in nature of mind? Whats the big secret?
  10. prayer/meditation

Sure: You mentioned being unable to practice love and compassion because you are in solitude most of time. What i meant was, you can practice these things, even in solitude, because it is about generating the energy/ feeling of love inside yourself. A good way to activate it is simple - learn to genuinely smile. It's a very useful way to open your heart and free any emotions. When you get good you can generate a strong pleasant energy whenever you want, then it's up to you what to do with it. Let it flow through your body and organs, radiate it outwards, just enjoy it as it is! The beauty is that it doesn't need to be directed and someone, something - it's just simply innate within you! But saying that, thinking of something pleasant can help you to activate it.
  11. prayer/meditation

You can. It's not about doing outward actions but generating that energy of love/compassion in yourself. A worthwhile effort to be able to do this!
  12. Hi there . Actually i'd like to hear your thoughts/experience with your question as well . From my view, I think it certainly does. And i imagine the deeper you go with your own refinement, the greater effect it will have on others and your surroundings. After all, I think the sages had achieved this to a very high standard - and that's why they were able to effect great changes, in people and in some cases the world. But as we can see, even the energy of those kind of sages eventually becomes lost and the people still stuck. We have to take responsibility for ourselves and live up to what is being offered, i think!
  13. I don't get what you mean, can you clarify?
  14. Cultivation of the Mind

Quote I spotted in "The Teachings and Practices of the Early Quanzhen Taoist Masters" : It could clarify some misconception that can be had, thinking that Ming is related to training the physical body. Also Xing goes beyond conventional "mind" in my opinion.
  15. For me, earth is yin, heaven is yang. Earth has that heavier, cloudy, gravitational, pulling inwards quality. In the human body the lower body corresponds to earth, yin energy. Heaven is light, clear, expansive, radiant. In the human body the upper body corresponds to heaven and yang energy. As for the second question in OP. Yes we have "personal energy" that is different for each person. We all start at different points. From my view the whole point of cultivation is to purify our personal energy towards Nature. I say "personal energy" because i feel it is both personal and impersonal. It is our own to cultivate - but behind it, it is intimately related to the energy of the universe.
  16. Roots... aka toes

I wore the vibrams hiking/ climbing up and down mountain - no blisters or pain to speak of - and i'm not an accomplished hiker by an means! You just have to be a little mindful of where you're stepping rather than clomping over some rocks as you would usually - i found it quite fun .
  17. FIFA World Cup 2014

That game... yes past tense cause its already over
  18. In my opinion, coordinating breathing with movement is the basic level, there's no need for this when you are capable with chi flow.
  19. To feel the energy clearly. The slow movements with meditative focus will build energy too. Also to get the mechanics of the movement correct, if you do it slowly slowly through many techniques and transitions, you will be able to weed out mistakes in your structure.
  20. Curious : are you sitting cross legged for that time?
  21. Zhong Yuan Qigong: real or fake?
