Ive notice an outcrop of "evil" topics. Course then again that makes me think: "Why the obsession with evil?". I mean we could really wonder forever about why people think and obsess about things different than we ourselves choose to do so. In fact for the most part, some people wont even be interested in this topic because they wont find it important. I think it is elementary to understand what good is, maybe so that we dont lower ourselves by focusing and bringing in more negative. But then again there are many misconceptions people have about either. I think these need to be cleared up before moving forward. Misconception: Evil people leak. Truth: Yes, because they give their energy away by being attached to lower feelings of anger and hate. This anger and hate can become a vicious cycle if we do not become indifferent to this person's feelings. Some good people also do the same inadvertently and may have things they abhorrently dislike. It is a matter of personal growth to forgive and show loving-kindness to all if possible. Calmness helps when dealing with people who have a lot of anger/hate. We can easily become angry right back and let us be consumed by it being a vehicle of the tao for retribution. Not a good cycle because we can keep it going. Good people can leak also only it is not as bad. Most good people I know send loving energy to everyone. Now this is not a bad thing because they usually detach themselves. After a while it works to benefit because people begin to show the same kindness back. Misconception: Good people are completely untouchable and irreprehensable all the time. Truth: No, for the same reason as the first truth. We all have a bed to lie in and contrary to what some think we do have all we need with us. This may sound strange and archaic to some, but it should not be a suprise to us when we read a book, or the off chance that someone just by chance tells us something about what we we looking for the answer to (I am talking in real life folks) even though they did not know you were looking for the answer to something. There are always subtle hints in our environment that we need to be aware of. Now Good and Virtue. Most people say Good is what is Right. But what is truely right? It is not just my idea of what is right is it? Perhaps I make up this phony concept that anyone who wears a yellow hat is good? I say it to myself many times until I believe it. Perhaps I superimpose that image of what I think to be good on those people and it makes me feel good because that is what I believe. Anyone could really do that. Good must truely be something deeper and more substantial than that. Otherwise the meaning of Good and Virtue becomes something completely shallow. Just like a Religion has a fluffy coating of half-truth, a tree has a outer wood. Trees also have a core, a heartwood that does not define truely the spirit of the tree itself. Some also speak of ways to cultivate good and virtue besides doing those things. I wont post those here because it is not my purpose to try to monopolize or make myself the only one who knows anything of this subject. But for those who wish to contribute twords what they know comparably may want to post. Pink Light

I disagree. Sorry that is just propaganda. Corporations who make most the money would like you to be distracted by this type of thing because they wish to hold all the cards. If you were in danger of losing money because people were realizing you were using lobbyists to push through bills that had your interest then people would realize how bad you really were. Big money is not Gore. Big corporation is not Gore, but then that is what large corporations would like you to be distracted by. Just like eating healthy, it doesnt have to be expensive. Either side of the argument fence for these "kind" of things like to use percentages to prove points. Truth is anyone can lie with percentages and the like. So really in a sense you want fact, but turn to discuss opinion. By nature you are asking for people to "flame". Not many can have a rational conversation when opinions are knocked. But personally I dont really care by now, I swear ive heard it all about this subject Hope this sheds at least some light. Politics and belief here on this subject are combining and clashing with the opposites. If you want an opinion, I will give you one of a person I talked to last week: "Good. Maybe this means Armageddon is comming. I have waited so long to go to heaven". I didnt know what to say to that, and they are a good person. But what do you do? It makes me wonder how many will let people destroy earth because of a similar thought haha something to think about. I am sure there is some kind of cause and effect for that.

I think what I am getting from TaoMeow's post is sometimes we see something, and it triggers a reaction in us because we recognize a pattern we see as similar to a previous pattern. I think it is quite understandable from that perspective. This is contrary to the old way of seeing the proof first then regurgitating it. Alchemy is one thing, Elemental Magic is another... If we are not talking about a chemical process the alternative is some type of "magic user" who is willing to dirty themselves with the 'pattern imprint' of oil on their consciousness. Everything has qualities and patterns, and if it isnt obvious enough, this action would not be healthy for the individual using the technique.

I agree. I guess in this article that was originally posted I wonder: Why did these people NOT seek professional help or advice? I dont hear of any of them seeking any type of professional help or advice, which is what most teachers of new age thought recommend anyway with disorders or medical conditions or emergency medical care. These people should have also sought professional, licensed and qualified advice.

You probably know how I feel about it. Ive experienced a lot of overconfidence. I am sure when ever religion or politics are involved, not many "underlings" have a benefit from it. Overconfidence and not progressing in understanding.

Very good! I think some spiritual truths are often misapplied and cause damage. Sometimes it causes people to disassociate the outcomes of their actions, which I am sure is unintentional. However overstating things like "things happen for a reason" has shown to me to encourage sloth and lack of intention to a goal in some cases. Another misused idea is that "life is meant to be experienced". This also creates bullying. I have already dealt with a few people who have caused themselves hardship and problems because they just experience life. Choosing your battles and fights are a key priority in life. I think people should remember that if you dont do something that is important or makes others miserable because they see problems you are not correcting that are causing more problems: You just might realize the bad side of experiencing life. Overstating negatives like everyone dies or focus on negatives only bring more negative enabling into a life. That should also be said two. But I no see that. I believe that is a strong teaching. I think its easier for people to be harsh when you dont come in direct physical contact with them. I try to remember that a persons virtue is not the sum of a persons virtuous posts on a board. As for the other part of the behind the scenes goings on it is pointless I have noticed. Im sure I will come across someone who has had a bad day. I just hope people will return the favor sometime.

My reply is definately non political. However working with elements for manipulating them or actual physical transmutation is often known as an evil-power. I await for someone else experienced in energy to chime in on this. The ability for people to be able to transmute a physical element into another (here we speak of earth elements) would be rare. Try finding an elementalist who can or knows how to manipulate the elements or the 5 elements. This should give some idea of the difficulty level. But why would you want to speak to those people?

What does a hard and fast position mean?(rhetoric) Okay, I dont know if there are any books about this. Pink (if we are talking about energy) occurs at a level higher than postheaven (physical) and exists at the preheaven (nonphysical). Since pink is preheaven it cannot be connected with any of the 5 elements. So we are talking squares and circles here. They can communicate with each other but the 5 elements are on the physical plane only (postheaven) So yes I was goofing off. If you are looking for physical signs of pink, go to the toy department in a store and go down the girls toy aisle. Of course this last statement is just to add humor
