Vajra, I have a question for you. What is your take on the different vehicles of Buddhism? Are they different only in terms of speed or is the realization coming from them different as well? I am speaking more in terms of techniques rather than philosophy. For example, a Thera practices samata and vipassana practices in a certain way outlined in the Pali Suttas whereas an esoteric Buddhist like a Sakyapa will do samata and vipassana through mantras, breath practices, mandala visualization etc. Do both lead one to the same realization or they are like progressive steps? Thanks.

I wrote to Santiago a while ago and had the same experience. He referred to the Kunlun teacher as a fraud and told me not to waste time with it and do KAP to learn the REAL stuff. I believe many people who screwed themselves with Kunlun are now doing KAP to clean themselves, or that's how he put it. True or not, I don't know, but I did slow down on exploring the Kunlun path. I actually got to this forum looking for more details on the REAL stuff/KAP.

What is your favorite Qigong System and Why?

So are they any qigong systems accessible in this country today that you don't consider wimpy? -
Shaktimama, when the dad Santiago cares so much for his kids and family and as you indicate will probably not throw dick and pussy talk at them, why throw at this forum? Is it not possible there are kids reading this forum? And a teacher like Santiago is using these beautiful key phrases to teach spirituality to his audience? So such behavior is not for his family but okay for the rest? Is that not hypocrisy? Also, my question was sincere. I wanted to know if I ever took KAP, how much dick and pussy talk I would need to listen to? And probably that males KAP a no no for an 'uptight' guy like myself or my wife because we find it uncomfortable? I would neve use language on a public forum I would be ashamed using in front of my family or kids. So, does that mean Santiago advocates such free speech even in his day tO day life as he and his followers here believe anything said with 'love' is good! Ridiculous.

Wimpy vs Real. Is realness of a qigong something to have to do with specific forms or the quality of practice? Also, any one here does Falun Gong? I read an old post here which warned against it as t beamed energy back to oneself. Not too sure about what that does. -

Thanks Stigweard. Totally like the sound of it. Will check it out. Trunk's advice got into my head and so I started practicing SFQ but will continue to explore other systems. -

Dear Rain, thank you! I don't quite get everything you said but feels totally right when I read. I will ponder over this again and yet again -

Hi Mikaelz, I do anapana/vipassana practices for many years. Not sure that is what you were referring to as mind training? Also work with a bit of NLP and stuff. Lately decided to add some energy practices along with. Yi Gong is different from I Jong - the standing practice? What kind of benefits do you get from this exercise? I tried holding the hand posture last night and raised my heels and nothing happened. Legs trembled a little, but they trembled even when I didn't hold the posture. So I was not sure if anything was happening. I tried the spinal rotation but still nothing -
There is class and then there is crass .. It's all about expression. 3Bob I enjoy your posts. Santiago, let's say you are talking Kundalini and Shaktipat with your Mom, aunt or someone. Do you talk about pussy, dick and same stuff to them? Do you use similar expressions with them? Do you also explain healing and shiva and shakti to your kids using dick and pussy? And this is the kind of stuff taught in KAP? Just curious if KAP classes involve a lot of dick and pussy talk and other such classy expressions. Also, refusing to talk crass is NOT indicative of issues with sexuality. That apart, the dick and pussy talk is irrelevant here as well. I don't know what the levels of moderation here are, but I did hit that report button.

Cow Tao and other Buddhists, What really are you guys trying to say? Taoist views are incorrect, incomplete and mainly physical or mental impermanent bliss etc.? One is wearing Buddhist glass and the other Taoist. One has Buddhist bias and the other Taoist. And both have a problem with the other's bias? Wouldn't one be liberated if he were free of all conditioning? What are we accusing others of when we wear all kinds of conditioning ourselves? Where is all that compassion which Buddhists talk of but never display? Considering this is a Taoist forum, what is the objective of your Buddhist posts which always seem to criticize the Universal One or Tao or whatever. Is your stand that Taoism itself is flawed and so is the concept of Tao or the interpretation of Tao is flawed? And you guys understand that all this is according to Buddhism right? So I fail to understand what the purpose of these discussions are? You know every religion has its own stuff and also what its adherent thinks as genuine experience. Someone experiences a Universal Self and someone else sees a no-self. So what are the Buddhists on this board trying to do? Correct the flawed views? Is everyone supposed to agree on this or that or something else? People make points, state their views and move on. But why do the Buddhists feel a definite need to convince others of their view? Try telling what Buddha said, and those who listen and benefit shall. But what's the point in attacking every view that you don't agree with? Tzu does not seem to be attacking anyone here or being impossible. He has his views and you don't agree with his. So move on for heaven's sake. Why talk of his martial arts, attachment to bliss, trance states etc.? May be liberation from suffering is not everyone's goal? Let each choose his own bidding please! This forum has started to remind me increasingly of E-sangha where every Buddhist wants to play the teacher of another and correct or teach him. And he does not fail to assert that his views are objective, open-minded, rational failing to notice that the same is what the other guy thinks too.

Joe, What is a typical Kunlun schedule like? Do I do all the exercises listed twice or thrice a day? There are so many things in the book and I get confused how much and what to practice. Also, do you do other Qigong forms with the Kunlun Spontaneous form other than the exercises listed in the book? Thanks. -

Rain, Joe, What you guys are saying is that ZZ or Kunlun or I Jong - all these lead to spontaneous practice but intensity is different? And same type of spontaneous energy? I don't understand the difference between the three practices...bear with the ignorant me -

Hello Rain, I only have the book and the do not practice from it yet. For some reason, I did not feel attracted to main kunlun shaking exercise and wanted to do only the standing forms. I have been doing I Jong a bit but that is all. They seemed to me like ZZ plus something more? Also simple enough. -

I also have the Kunlun book. Do the Ijong posture and five element standing postures replace ZZ in the Kunlun system i.e. can ZZ be replaced with these standing postures? -
What is your favorite Qigong System and Why?
Raymond Wolter replied to Raymond Wolter's topic in General Discussion
I guess depends on the system? Spring Forest is considered safe and gels well with most other systems is what many say. Chunyi Lin however advices that it is best to practice SFQ alone as he cannot assure what is going to come in from the other system/s. E.g. Xiang Gong - the grand teacher says one will gravely injure himself by mixing any other qigong that involves conscious movement of energy or forms that use mind to move chi. -

Agreed but that is the issue! I need something simpler to start with? If I knew a lot about myself, I guess I would not be seeking advice for a simple qigong system? -

Golden words. Thanks Trunk. I hope I can firmly stick to this advice. By the way greatly enjoying the alchemical taoism site listed in your signature. -
Thanks Shakti Mama. I am attuned to levels 1 to 3 of Usui System and got interested in KR on account of kundalini. I would be very interested to know why a long term reiki master who channeled kuthumi turned so anti-reiki.
-
Thanks ShaktiMama. Energy sensitive teachers like yourself should put a youtube playlist of videos that you think help people like myself. Not imposing you, only a sincere request.

You assume I am mistaken, you assumed earlier you could teach me something and you assumed I wanted to learn from you. Too many assumptions. This is the difference between having a discussion, stating one's view vs. trying to convert, correct, impose etc. This is clear enough is it not? If only people didn't spend all their time and effort in trying to show others their mistakes but rather look at their own dirty linens to wash, the world would be a far better place. Well, may be try washing other's linen once all of yours is dry and white Let me ask you a question. What is your purpose on this forum? Engage in a discussion that tells others about their flawed views in the guise of discussion. And when someone disagrees, they are ignorant or not open minded. I read a series of your old posts and you always disagree with others. So you are not here except to state your disagreement with non-Buddhists? You should be a great master if you frequent online forums and spend your time trying to correct and point out mistakes.

Thanks Shakti Mama. You have been very generous in sharing info with a newbie to this forum. Archbishop and Shaktipat - sounds strange and very interesting. How does one get Shaktipat from him? Directly? Would be very helpful if you can share something more about him.
